I was critical of Clarke when we first went to three at the back and it was a hard watch, but all credit, his plan and formation have worked well for us. We are now unbeaten for over a year and have won 8 out of 9 (ok, 2 on penalties but who cares!). When did that last happen! We deserved to win, but to lose such a late goal and be under the cosh in extra time and then turn it round in the shoot out. Tremendous! Just watched Ryan holding back tears in his interview. He was man of the match for me, but his interview showed how much it means to the players. That’s good to see. Now we have a match with England to look forward to!!

I did and really enjoyed the game. I skipped the Hearts game due to their rip off pricing. Is our game on Saturday being streamed? If so, presumably our season tickets won’t count?

Sorry, I disagree. The only error was being caught out for their first goal. He had a couple of great challenges first half that stopped likely goals and the own goal was not his fault as the ball hit him at speed. He was stronger than Mckay before Mckay ‘s injury whilst Deas got caught out with the third goal. If we don’t have Toshney fit, I think Devine and Deas could form a decent partnership.

I agree. Good to see Sutherland get a goal and was that MacGregor’s first goal for the first team? If so, it should give him confidence. I’m not sure Keatings and Sutherland are fully fit yet, so there will be more to come from them. Hopefully game time and a convincing win on Saturday will set us up for the league game with Raith later this month which, hopefully, some of us will be at. Any word on our camera system? I was impressed by the pictures and commentary tonight.

A really good game. Unlucky not to win as we bossed the second half against a team that has had a good start to the season. Disappointing shoot out with Toddy’s saved, Keatings hitting the woodwork and Kennedy missing, but we’d no hope of qualifying for the knock out stages. I’m worried about central defence as we were caught out for all their goals. Mckay was struggling before his injury. Devine got caught out for the first and Deas for the third. If we don’t have Toshney, I think Devine and Deas should be allowed to develop a partnership. Plenty of positives as we were good when we moved it fast. Ridgers had a few good saves. Duffy and Harper both contributed. Allardice is a find, and Kennedy will do well. Hope we keep him for the full season. Good to see MacGregor on the score sheet. Good that Doran, Sutherland, Devine and Keatings all played 90 minutes. There will be more to come from them. It was a good game and gives me confidence that we will be battling at the right end of the table.

He’d no chance so not to blame in my opinion. We’ve just had a penalty shout turned down that VAR would have given down south for handball.

Not sure. They’ve several angles and replays. Possibly operated by people not machines? They’ve just said it’s not a pixelated system. Unfortunately we’ve just shed an own goal. Ball played in at pace. Think it hit Devine who had no chance. We’d been on top until then this half.

Glad I have paid £9.99 for this. A good feed and a very decent first half with both teams trying to play good football. Devine got caught out for the goal, but has had a couple of tackles that may have saved goals. He got booked after Mckay went down off the ball and Raith had a dangerous chance. Doran “took one for the team” when he got booked as it stopped a dangerous break. Our goal was good, with a great ball from Kennedy after a quick break which was well finished by Sutherland. I didn’t think it was a penalty as I’m sure Duffy got the ball not the man, but it was a diabolical spot kick so no harm done. Vincent was doing well until he got his knock. Hopefully taken off as a precaution. Mckay had no-one near him as Raith counter attacked so maybe twisted something. He was struggling before the injury against the fast attack. Ridgers has had a few saves but we’ve also had a few chances and looked good and fast on the break. Kennedy has been the pick if the first half for me. A few beers in front of the log burner and a decent game being fed to my tv. All we need now is a win!!

Sounds quite a game but sadly he lost 6-5 after extra time. He came on as a sub in the 4th minute of stoppage time in normal time but if the BBC report is right, there were 20 minutes of stoppage time! I see Chorley beat Wigan in a local derby. A poster on here would be happy about that outcome.

I’m sure I read somewhere that clubs could opt out of participating this season, in which case there ought to be no implications, although they may lose players to other clubs.

Forres have pulled out of this season’s competition due to safety concerns surrounding the virus.

And as Caley Mad in Berks has reported on the scorers thread, he scored the fourth Marine penalty as they won the shoot out. Nice one David!

Raven playing centre half? They have taken a league team to extra time so maybe another cup story looming for him?
