The way I read it was that they are still testing the system so making it free tonight would have been a bonus for fans. At least it sounds like the system is good to go for the league games.

With Toddy going for 77 and Sutherland being 11, if Storey has wanted the 9 shirt I’m sure he could have had it. What’s more important is getting a formation and tactics that work so that whether we have one or two strikers playing we make chances and they convert them.

The full squad are now “undertaking precautionary self isolation” for 14 days so we will be without Kennedy for the Dunfermline away match.

That will depend if he is a close contact. Was Stark with the squad when he tested positive?

I see Montrose have given County a scare tonight coming from 3 down to draw 3-3 before County scraped a penalty win. Reflecting on last night, it makes our performance all the more creditable given the lack of game time and level of injuries. Any word on how serious Sutherland’s injury is?

That hampers our chances in tomorrow night’s play off with Israel. Christie has been the mainstay of the team in the last few games.

I doubt we’d get Kennedy full time. I hope I’m wrong, but suspect there are concerns over when Doran could be ready so he is to cover a possible extended absence.

I agree entirely. Hearts were the better team, particularly second half when we struggled to keep the ball, but we only lost to a soft penalty with 7 players missing, Keatings only on the bench and Sutherland injured before half time. It is still effectively preseason for us and hopefully we improve as fitness and sharpness improve and we get players back. It is better than the last time we lost to them in this cup. Yes, a better performance and a win would have been good but we should not be too harsh on them (even Toddy despite his misses). Thanks to Jack for the link. Watched it on YouTube on tv as a result: never watched Vlad tv before!

Add Sutherland to our injury list? Pleasantly surprised so far. Hearts have had the better chances, and should have scored when they hit the bar, but we have been quick on the counter attack. Their right winger looks the danger man so far. It will be a tough second half, but with so many missing, better than I had dared hope so far.

I agree, with 6 experienced players and young Kennedy missing, if we hold our own tonight we will have done very well. Presumably Keatings not fully fit. I see Toddy is 77: first time we have had a number like that? If Alan is watching, Storey is back wearing 17! Also shocking they are not allowed to shower after the game. Travelling home straight after the game is likely to cause more niggly problems or illness. The powers that be must sort that out and quickly!
