  1. It is the correct decision to suspend fixtures, everyone’s health must come first.
  2. Good to see the posters in the toilets about washing hands for 20 seconds. Now we just need the taps to run for more than 1 second.
  3. Well, that was a surprising line up and formation, but a very comprehensive win. We started playing 3 5 2 with Toddy, McHattie and Tremarco as a back 3 with Rooney and Harper being wing backs. Keatings started up alongside Storey. The first was a well taken header by Vincent from a Keatings corner. The second was a 35 yard free kick by Keatings. A goal of the season contender. The weather then played a part with us playing into a strong gale and torrential rain for 10 minutes. We hardly got a touch in that period and the weather undoubtedly was the only reason we conceded. When the weather calmed, we bossed it again and got a deserved third when Storey was played in by Carson (I think). The wind troubled Ridgers more than Queens. The central 3 were largely untroubled although Tremarco got an early booking. Rooney tried to get forward whilst Harper started quietly but grew in confidence. The midfield 3 bossed the game with great attitude. Keatings was my man of the match (although I couldn’t grumble when the sponsors picked McHattie who is unflappable) whilst Storey had a few chances. If I had one small complaint about tonight, other than the weather, Storey could have passed a few times to better placed players but he tried himself. Probably our most comfortable 90 in a while, other than when the weather intervened, and hopefully we can take that performance into the weekend. We finished with 10 as Tremarco hobbled off hope he is not badly hurt given we were already without Toshney and Mckay so running out of defenders These midweek games are going well for us! 9 out of 9 on Tuesday nights.
  4. As White on bench, Todorov for first ICT please. Cheers!
  5. 5 changes. Harper, McHattie, Vincent, Keatings and Todorov all start. Im at the ground. Fingers crossed!

  7. Queen if the South: 3 Arbroath: 1 Partick Thistle: 3: has to happen some time! Dundee: 1 So 8 is my guess, but hoping for more!
  8. Judging by the report on Sportscene we were lucky to only lose 2-0. Their goalie had one good save from White at 1-0 and that seems to have been it. The only positive is that with the other four games being draws we have actually gained at least a point over all five teams below us over the midweek games and today’s games. I hope Toshney is not badly injured and that we regroup quickly for Tuesday night. The games coming thick and fast is showing how we lack depth in the squad. How close to suspensions are the likes of Rooney, Mckay, Carson and Trafford?
  9. Mckay in for McHattie. Walsh presumably playing the Keatings role with Doran and Storey wide.
  10. Billy Mckay SPFL player of the month for February for 5 goals in 5 games. Some on here can say “I told you so” after the debate about him in January. Rather than being in his way out at County, it looks like he has cemented his place and is keeping them just above the relegation fight.

  12. It seems Vincent should be fit whilst Mckay is available again, with only Welsh missing out. It will be a tough game on their plastic pitch but we can go there with confidence. I hope all going have a great day out. This will probably be wrong, but I’d start with: Ridgers Rooney Toshney McHattie Tremarco Carson Trafford Walsh Keatings Doran White
  13. Another 0-0 between Arbroath and Dunfermline tonight. This midweek has been good for us. Hopefully we can keep it going at Alloa on Saturday. We’ve only won three on the spin in the league twice this season so now is the time to match that and then go on a longer run to cement second. We seem to have a good team spirit so hopefully we can do it.
  14. We deserved our win. Great effort throughout the team, but both goals we conceded were poor. Great delivery by Walsh for White’s opener, and Rooney’s header was sublimely placed before Toddy turned up to clinch it. Not our best performance, but a solid team effort got us through it. Just what we need on such a hectic run of games. Ridgers had a good early save. Toshney was steady. McHattie always looks calm, but possibly not his best game at centre half tonight. Rooney and Tremarco both got forward well. Carson and Trafford worked hard in midfield. Walsh and Storey both had the beating of the dull backs, one of whom should have got a second yellow for a challenge on Doran. MacGregor got valuable game time. White had a a good game. All the subs then contributed, particularly Toddy! Just what we needed as at 2-2 I was a bit worried. Whilst we had beaten Morton heavily earlier in the season, they came tonight as the form team in the league: that was their first league defeat in 2020.

  16. Jamie McCart conceded the free kick that resulted in Ryan Christie’s free kick goal to win today’s cup quarter final.
  17. Piece in Courier about Tremarco. As the club has not made him an offer, he is considering whether to speak to other teams. Despite his age and injury issues, I believe we should offer a one year extension.
  18. Any word on when Welsh and Vincent will be available? What will Mckay be suspended for? With it being a straight red, two matches: one league one cup or just cup? If the league, Tuesday or Saturday?
  19. The league needs to come first now. We are in a 6 team battle for second so need to focus. Regarding the cup, we have been one of only two teams to beat a Premiership club and the only team outside the top flight to make the last eight. It would have been great to make the semis but it was not to be. The Challenge Cup should be seen as a bonus and I hope we win it but Raith are going well. Regardless of our views of last night’s performance, we need to get behind the guys on Tuesday. Morton are unbeaten in the league in 2020 so we can’t underestimate them.
  20. I’ve done the same, but it is your call Gringo. If the time you spend on it is excessive, I will not complain if you change it. It is a bit of fun that I really appreciate.
  21. I’m as disappointed as everyone else at the score and being out of the cup but we matched them for long spells and a couple of key moments went against us, the save from Walsh just before the first goal and the penalty being refused just before the second goal. Whatever you think, Hibs were not “rank rotten”, they played some high quality football and at times so did we. The scoreline flattered them and most comments on here are supportive of the team. Enjoy Norway. Hope you’ve plenty cash for the beer prices!
