I don’t think Robbo should be doing the reporting of other games. However, it may be that his salary with us has been reduced to reflect his role with the BBC, which I’d be fine with. If that is the case, the club should be open with fans and I’m sure we’d understand the position and be a lot more comfortable with. One thing he did say today is that when he and Dodds discuss signings, Dodds has the final say.
  2. Noted today: Jordan White for County George Oakley for Morton Rory McAllister (2) for Montrose Nathan Austin for Kelty
  3. Until I read the excellent report above, I could only go by Sportscene’s brief report which indicated it was a decent game and we deserved our equaliser late on. We’ve crept back up to fifth as a result.
  4. Good to see Allardice and Harper in the squad. Where’s new signing Woods?
  5. With our encouraging recent performances, I’m hopeful we can keep the 23 year run going and bring 3 points back north. If we have some of our casualties back, even if only on the bench to start with, that can only help our cause. Onwards and upwards!!
  6. And they jinxed us last season. Time to repay them by winning 6 points!
  7. Rearranged for Tuesday 21 February.
  8. 4 February at home so not far away….
  9. Toddy for Dunfermline in the Challenge Cup tonight.
  10. It’s allowed some reminiscing about Super Caley Go Ballistic headlines and the joy that went with those times!
  11. Off topic but I bet Aberdeen wish the bad weather was still around. That’s an embarrassing result for a top league team. Arguably the biggest shock in Scottish Cup history.
  12. Jordan White had his penalty saved in the shoot out when they lost to Hamilton: taxi for Malky looming? Jordan Roberts for Stevenage, Brad Mckay for Falkirk, Andrew MacAskill for Buckie and Ross Tokely (again, must be his third recently) for Nairn today.
  13. Hopefully!!
  14. Youngster Aly Riddle has also left the club by mutual consent. Things didn’t really work out for Oakley this time round. Perhaps it’s to free up a wage for someone coming in? Is Sutherland close to fitness as he is the only real recognised striker we have should Mckay get injured.
  15. There must be a risk, now things are thawing, that the pitch fails the inspection tomorrow but is playable by the time kick off comes 27 hours later. I hope it goes ahead as a midweek date will be unhelpful given the league games coming up. Presumably if it is off it will move to Tuesday or Wednesday?

  18. Three for Garry Wood for Inverurie, two for Andrew MacRae for Brora and one for Ross Tokely for Nairn. I didn’t spot any in the Scottish leagues or down south this weekend although Coll Donaldson got sent off for Falkirk.
  19. Agreed. We’ve successfully given plenty players the chance to resurrect their careers with us. He may or may not take that opportunity but we shouldn’t be writing him off already.

I got to today’s game after all. I thought it was an entertaining draw. Both teams could have won it but equally could have lost it, so a draw fair overall. We created our best chances in the first half, with their ‘keeper making at least two very good saves. Queens Park played good touch play throughout and always looked dangerous but a mixture of poor finishing and saves by Ridgers kept them at bay. I thought we handled Murray very well, so credit to Devine and Duffy. They tortured us at times down our left, with Delaney really struggling in the first half in particular, but he had a better second half. We were competitive in midfield and all the players had positive attitudes again which was good to see. When we kept it down and passed quickly in the first half we looked good but we did resort to high hopeful balls at times. I assume Mackay picked up a knock in the first half and hope he and Hyde are ok. Hyde is improving every game at present. Scope for optimism particularly with none of the teams above us winning, but we still have a lot to do this season to be in the mix at the end.
  21. We’ve brought a midfielder, Ben Woods, in until gone end of the season: https://ictfc.com/ben-woods-signs-for-ictfc He was at Burnley for four years, leaving them in the summer. I hope that doesn’t mean Allardice and MacGregor are going to be out for a while longer.

I’m not going to get to this one as a relative is in hospital so domestic duties need to take priority. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for updates and have a sneaking suspicion we will claim all three points. Enjoy the game!
  23. Two for Andrew MacAskill for Buckie as they beat Aberdeen in the Aberdeenshire Shield. A but ironic given neither Buckie nor Aberdeen is in Aberdeenshire!
  24. Harry Hennem has joined Clach on loan for the rest of the season.
  25. I missed this when it happened but Daniel Hoban has been at Elgin since last season after his spell at Forfar.
