  1. or Charlie Christie?
  2. Very difficult for him to prove a work ethic when his arse is parked firmly on the bench..
  3. as stakeholders not shareholders, we dont really need to come up with an alternative. that is for the shareholders to worry about. we, as fans, are merely making our feelings felt. i think its not specifically this season that has been the problem, but the straw over the camels back. Can we get this embroidered onto the shirt for next season please: "From Bucharest to Brechin, in TWO YEARS!!"
  4. Anyone else remember reading this... Richie Foran commented: “This is a great opportunity and one I am going to relish. My intention will be to preserve continuity at the club while bringing a new freshness and playing style.” “Joining Caley Thistle seven years ago has proved a marvellous decision. Thanks to coming to the Highlands I now have a lovely wife, two lovely children and have had the most enjoyable part of my playing career.” “But I will now give up playing to fully focus on making a success of my new job. I want to push to bring further success to Caley Thistle, a special club in a special community.” Richie added: “I want to play exciting, attacking football which entertains the supporters.” “I’ve identified areas in our play that I think I can improve, and I’ve identified what kind of players we need to bring in to improve our team.” “My target is to further strengthen the unity between supporters, directors, management and players – when we signal that we’re all on the same wavelength, that makes a huge difference.” “I’ve been fortunate, as club captain, to have an excellent relationship with the fans and I hope we can all move on with a scenario where everyone is focused on helping the team go forward.” He added: “I would like to most sincerely thank the chairman and his fellow directors, for showing such faith in giving me this opportunity.” “My aim going forward is to justify their choice and give the supporters something to cheer about.” Richie concluded: “There will be no wild predictions from me, I’ll now be getting on with the job quietly. I’m working on recruitment so that we’re ready to work hard when the squad returns for pre-season training.” Can't even be bothered to pick through it all but...
  5. Again, this seems moot - the players that will remain are the ones that either don't have a relegation release clause written into their contracts, or those willing to take the pay cut to stay here. The likes of Brad and Ebbe with 'options' will wait and see if anything presents itself, but a successful season in the Championship will guarantee them in the premiership next year, either with us or by putting themselves into a shop window. We need a less sentimental and more hard-line approach to contract negotiations. Josh and Tansey refusing to sign extensions should have guaranteed they went up for sale. That goes for everyone. Little money is better than no money, which seems to have happened a hell of a lot! If a contract is put on the table and refused, then cheerio!
  6. You were making sense right up until you mentioned TB....forwards not backwards
  7. Eh Alan, maybe you need to lay off the roids! You're calling out someone for a fight? Really? Get a f****n grip!
  8. If it's the same board at the helm, we can speculate all we want - Richie will be the manager next season.
  9. Apparently board members were seen to be drinking wine and laughing at the on-pitch demonstrations post match...any pictures to substantiate these claims? Just goes to show the attitude of those at the helm. Time for the old boys to get tae
  10. Nothing here is blaming Hughes, it's fully pointing the finger at the Board
  11. Don't worry, season after it'll be Elgin...
  12. How do many above propose that Boden and Ebbe make an impact? It's not their fault RF never pulled them out of the tombola!
  13. Would love Fisher to stay, but reckon he could be playing for our opponents today..... Fonners and Draper etc will have release clauses I'm sure. I just wonder how many will opt to stay for the reduced wages just because they like it here, and maybe will want to atone for their mistakes.
  14. Nothing confirmed either way, but I always suspected he was waiting to see what happened. He will expect to play in the Premier next season. I wonder if Rangers will come calling....
  15. From all the interactions I've had with them, I would say they are all a really nice bunch of guys? I could only think the bad apples are maybe the older, more experienced players who were questioning, apparently correctly, Richie's instruction? Exactly as he did last year to Yogi. The bad apple is RF. he's passing the blame on to players who have been "great all season" but have "let me down" or "don't show enough passion" but we "have a great bunch of guys". Richie; you've had a terrible season, have demonstrated that you cannot do the job. Resign. Walk away, before you drag the club down any further. Thank You for trying, but sorry, it's not to be.
  16. And not only said with hindsight - it was said loud and often at the time!! Faff off Richie!
  17. Cammy Tremarco, Warren, McKay Raven Mulraney Vigurs, Polworth,Doran Boden Ebbe with the exception of Doran's wage being a stumbling block, I don't see much wrong with this line up as a potential place to start. Brad Mckay's level may well be suited to the Championship, but if his wage demand aren't met, and he can secure alternative employment who could blame him for moving on. would love big drapes to stay, but suspect he'll be on the a96 bus as well?
  18. Yes, and in a lot of our better games, played really well. He didn't have to fight as hard as he did...I think it says a lot about him as a person how he put so much into the games.
  19. Since this thread is about the game and not the league...I will say that for 15 minutes there we were playing some great football! the team that played against Dundee on Wednesday night didn't show up at all in the first half, but they defo did for a short spell of the second half. i will take this opportunity to call out the fickle fans who chear as loud as anyone else when Tanz scores (a lovely goal)...then feel the need to sing abusive songs when he's signing stuff for kids....get over yoursel guys - you would do the exact same thing in his position, anyone would.
  20. Given the level of discontent with what is already a miniscule fan base. It would be the right and proper thing for both RF and KC to fall on their respective swords.
  21. Billy King dropped out of the squad after he announced his pca with dutd. No great surprise there
  22. Happened in hospitality...tremarco got something....couldn't hear well from outside
