Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Ross County
ictfcsince94 replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
Charlie charlie charlie....you are a feckin charlie!!!! You are an obnoxious, opinionated fool. I hate to fall back into the old argument, but if that 50 attendees is money well missed, are you going to reimburse the club. for a man who has personally made money from the club, when was the last time you put your hand in your pocket for that club? and describing others as neds because they dress and act a certain way?and dont fit into your perfect image of a football fan? definitely childish. and from such a mature, well educated man of means as well... I have never and will never condone acts of violence towards fellow football fans or others, i can understand why it happens. look at this forum, for example. how many people on here, who are supposed to be 'mature' get into heated childish arguments over disagreements? so it's really quite understandable that a group of testosterone and often alcohol fueled teens act in a similar manner. and the general disapproval of 'ultras' is a bit annoying too. i actually think an ultra group can be good for a club, not only do they lead the vocal support of a club, they can also do more for the club and community as a whole. I look to the Green Brigade of Celtic for a leading example in the UK...not only do they provide a wonderfully vocal and visual support for their club, they also raise donations in the thousands for charities, food drives for food banks etc. but because they wear SI or bucket hats they're simply neddy hooligans!? think not. some of them might be, but to make that generalisation is a bit naive. in reference to the Young Teams choice of fashion - Stone Island etc. is actually quite sensible apparel for attending football matches - warm, waterproof etc.- 157 replies

harsh, reality, and frustrating. frustrating for the club that we will finance his recovery, as is our duty under contract, and then we'll likely miss the benefits of this.

Half listened to it on the radio, from what I picked up was that they played 'park-the-bus'. And apparently did that pretty well, but offered little going forward. I suspect they will play a very different game at home to the bottom team. an away game, so target has to be a point. And he's been mooted before: other results are irrelevant. We don't lose, we move on to the next one.

Second game in a row. Absolutely disgraceful. Picking out Vigz to be the brunt of everyone's frustrations...totally unfair. There's more players this season that have worse performances. RF has done the right thing, he's playing him off the bench-what more can be done? i can't believe at this point that we're booing any of our own players! Thought we were better than that.

The Young Team gets MOM tonight. Great effort in the face of adversity! Nice to see the stewards and police enforcing their ersehole laws evenly and fairly across both sets of fans! Grrr!

Really, all in all, a defeat to Celtic isn't exactly a surprise...and 4 points from the last three games is way over target, and more than what we could've hoped for. For once this season, other results haven't favoured us, but it's games against the other bottom 6 that's going to make the real difference. We have in fact closed the gap on Hamilton in March, which also, is a positive. Take emotions out of it, and we've actually done pretty well. and I can 100% confirm that OFW is carrying an injury.

This. Still. Looks like the point against hearts is actually more meaningful than the Rangers win, with Ham beating the sheep..... Lets hope Hearts start a bit of a resurgence, and Cunty continue their downward trend. priority for sellic game must be to keep it respectable on the goal difference side of things.

Game 1 = WIN Game 1000 = WIN Super Caley!!!!!!
-
We're getting odds of 10/3 for the win...could never imagine that 23 years ago... however, bet365 are offering Horner at 7/1 as an anytime scorer....I'd like much longer odds than that....

I often wonder what it is that you smoke, and if it is readily available.... What. Actually. Is. Going. On. Here?

I suspect this was yet another snipe at the new club. Something which is never levelled at Hearts for example. Drifting off topic again though....

Milestone programme is magic btw! Jus had a flick through it and it's top notch! Makes an already exciting game tomorrow night, even more exciting! Also, quite that CJTV Live goes erm Live on game 1000! Brilliant! Is the Modern Football Machine (BT Sport) doing any features? Or will they be focusing on the Soap Opera that's visiting?

Same: let's me vote, says cheers, then whoosh, it's gone.....

ICT v Warburton & Weir Wanderers

King, polworth, Cole all at the gym yesterday at the time the team is normally training out at the Fort. Normally this means injuries....but hopefully not.... -

Bearing in mind the extreme stewarding of our Young Team in previous weeks, I wonder what the club/stewards plan is to deal with away fans being in the home end.... just in case the wee bit of paper with the tickets doesn't work. -
Crikey! It's all got rather childish on here.....

Thought Laing was steady enough, him and Mccart seemed to acquit themselves well. Anier was uninspiring when he came on...I'd rather of seen Ebbe on for King Billy. And I'd hoped that Draper would get hooked when I saw Doran warming up...kept thinking he was gonna pick up a red card! More yellow cards though!! Grrr much better from Jake, with an end product. our team press for the first 60odd minutes was immense. Coley and Polly had wonderful performances, workrate was outstanding. A very promising performance all in all, and a much happier drive up the A9 than normal. Gladly of taken a point when I set off this morning, so yeah, delighted. Another 4 points from the next two games..... Thats us two games into an unbeaten league run.... MON CALEY EH!!!!

so what he has said is a reflection of the facts. there is a 7-way relegation battle. we are 3 points behind hamilton, and if others current form continues in a similar vein, then 2 wins very much puts us in with a shout of 6th place. the mystical 10th position is only 2 points above a playoff and 2 points behind this seasons holy grail of safety - 6th. 10th at the split will not free us from the relegation battle, 6th is the only true safe position. if we aim for 6th and fall short, we may well be safe. if we aim for 10th and fall short we will be relegated.

OFW RAVEN MCCART DRAPER GILCHRIST TREMARCO POLLY TANSEY COLE EBBE MCKAY Effectively a back 7! Cole has to be the Tansey-of-old roll : control distribution, play the right ball etc. playing Ebbe with King Billy purely for his energy, so we can employ the high press. Impossible to beat must be the imperative here, a draw is a great result, so..lets not try and leave ourself with a mountain to climb again. i will be more than happy to watch a miserable, dire, 0-0! i really wouldnt be disappointed if we employed the yogi possession tactics... Stick some of the yungsters (if we have any left) on the bench, if we're getting tanned, give them a run out for the craic!

Not sure if you don't get sarcasm..... as I said previously, I guess we are putting players out on loan to free up finances to get others in. Cammy had been at Elgin before, and was clearly in demand. This arrangement is beneficial short term -finances and long term - developing a player for the future, either for us or to sell on. Arguably, we put our 3rd choice out on loan, as Esson would be the natural 2nd choice. there are problems further up the park which need to be addressed before blowing more money on another keeper! If any free agents are to be signed, they should be defenders!!!
