  1. What makes you think he'd be a better manager than Richie?
  2. At least we'll get an early indicator of how we face up against two of our championship opponents
  3. Still too early to tell...but seems like same-old same-old to date.
  4. Called it....
  5. Is this the same CaleyD that has disappeared since relegation...
  6. But when he did, he looked like he had something about him
  7. Well, with Season Ticket uptake never released, it's difficult to guess what kind of revenue might be achieved through these sales. However, if you say there's 2000 picking up a ticket at £300, that's an income of £600,000. Would reducing that figure to £200 increase the uptake by 50%? You would need 3000 to purchase at that price to make the same £600,000. Its not as black and whitens that though, as if I only had to pay £200 for a ticket, I might be more inclined to purchase more club merchandise etc. its a tough job they have trying to balance the books, but...as has been said before, football shouldn't be exempt from the normal economics of business. Case in point - if my income reduces for whatever reason my outgoings have to reduce.
  8. Apologies....
  9. No, I've read it...appears the same day renewal letters are received, and tells us we have barely a starting 11. But no explanation as to the lack of price reduction etc etc.
  10. Also, not sure how we can be promoted to the Scottish Premier League, when it hasn't existed since 2013....
  11. It's ok everyone, calm down, he's not on holiday, he's in Burghead....
  12. I agree with both sides of the coin. I think the issue comes down again to.....COMMUNICATION. or lack of it, for a change. since the end of the season, we've had our chairman walk away, eventually. A new chairman put in place, who's now away on holiday. Our manager sacked/quit. No sign of a replacement. Season ticket renewals released at the same price as last year. And on the same day, the very first communication from the club, and its confirming that we barely have a starting 11! I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Charles here, as much as I hate to, if the club can't afford to meet the wage demands of the players on a championship income, then they need to be shown the door. If the players under contract really do want to stay to help us go back up, they would surely understand that this would need to come at a reduced wage; as should be stipulated in their contracts. If not, then it's another oversight by the club. with a little bit of communication and reassurance Talk to us ICT and not just when you're wanting money off us.
  13. meekings and ebbe are possibly the only two that have left that i'm overly concerned about. what we have left is the bones of a decent team...if we can get the right people in around them and the right people at the helm... p.s. why oh why does BR still have a feckin job mun?!
  14. Grant Munro.... Ross Tokely... #justsayin
  15. And another thing, since Broussard Dortmund parted ways with their manager, after a generally successful season, their CEO issued an 'open-letter' explaining the reasons for this...we have a new chairman and have heard what from him? A 2 line sentence explaining Richie is no longer manager. We're pretty rubbish at the whole communication thing.
  16. Would be nice if the stadium announcer actually had a clue, tried to rev up the crowd a bit? He announces the goal scorer while the crowd are still cheering, if he waits a bit, he'll generate another 'pop' when making the announcement. Or when he reads out the attendance in the middle of an attack or when the crowd are cheering or jeering. Maybe save it for when we're waiting on the 5 year old ball boy retrieving the ball from the moray firth.
  17. Perhaps with more locals. And maybe younger than retired! And not idiots....
  18. Yeah, the point being that in the middle of July/august you shouldn't have to be wearing wellies! And that puddle will still be there... things like giving the OF both sides of the snack bar thing behind the west stand annoyed me, although not likely to be an issue next season, was just another example of treating the fans a bit ****.
  19. He's on holiday...hmmm...
  20. Surely some contractor could donate a barrow full of concrete to eradicate the "puddle in the pie queue" problem? We have a building company with naming rights to the main stand...and a civils contractor on the training kit...surely between the two of them we can do something with the existing infrastructure in and around the stadium? I'd rather see solid investment in the ground(or a new one) and proper, modern training facilities than pay over-rated underachievers over the odds. i don't know where the extra money is coming from, but if there was an outside investor, that's where I'd rather see the money going. as a multiple player sponsor, a family of season tickets and a regular #caleyaway 'er I would grudge parting with yet another £100 for no return, when there are plenty of business around the area who would be happy to right off some money for tax purposes! I'm sure AuldyBoy does a great job getting money in the door, but maybe free services could be an avenue that is explored too...
  21. David Moyes is out of work...and money isn't an issue for him? Thomas Tuchel sacked by Borrusia Dortmund Luis Enrique has vacated the Barcelona spot who knows.....
  22. Would like to see the return of car window scarf
  23. Football is one of the only professions where you can end up with a promotion after failing at your job!
  24. losing our best players year on year to Aberdeen, whilst picking up County cast-offs....that's definitely going to sit well with fans.
  25. perhaps searching through a quaiche might provide some more enlightening answers
