Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
ictfcsince94 replied to Council Juice's topic in Caley Thistle
another victim of King Billy's return? and a move away from the 'hoof it to the target man' approach of play. i also think he's one of the players that has been allegedly 'lost' in the dressing room....don't like to believe those types of rumours at all though -

thought i'd put this out there - Alex Fisher is fit again and ready to play. And was last week. Not featuring in the squad at all.... -

Wonder if Jason Brown will be recalled? Back four, in some order, of Tremarco, McCart, Raven, Brown? With young Gilchrist on the bench? Or a back 3....worked well yesterday. -
Not sure why Vigz gets victimised so much, but it wasn't his defending that led to us being two goals down.....thought he had a great game yesterday and vindicated Richie's decision for sticking with him

Delighted for the lad. Was never convinced by him in the Development games I saw, he seemed to have a bit of a 'prima donna' type attitude. Glad to see him making an impact and hopefully the Highland League will toughen him up a bit!

Annoyed at the booing at half time, however, understandable. I wonder if this, coupled with Richie's hairdryer helped provide a wonderful second half performance? But when the players gave us something to cheer we got right behind them! Amazing. And good to see it can be done without the need of the Young Team to lead it. Think the players maybe took the booing to heart all the same-no many o them applauded the fans at full time...not like them at all. I am however, buzzing. That result, given our position at halftime feels very much like a win. %we are the Caley boys, we make f&ck all noise%

whalloper or not. a fan is a fan. everyone is entitled to express their opinions, especially through a very painful period and loss. just smacked of a bit o a childish response by a Professional Football Club.

best of a bad lot...

Sutherland is now with the other Sutherland at Elgin City
-
Dave the Rave may also be out injured for this....

The problem, which you've kinda highlighted, is that regardless of how poorly some have been playing, they will still be viewed as the 'best option'. Which would then, once again, make Richie's post-match interview just completely meaningless.

This is a bug-bear of mine. It really winds me up! Let's hope the recurring theme of 'let's get behind them' actually transpires into a decent non morgue-like atmosphere! Let's make it a horrible place for the dungdee to come to. Fortress Dumpio!!

I think Billy King still out injured

Agree. Much happier to be vocal in voicing their disapproval of individual or collective mistakes, but less willing to stand up and sing-on the boys. I've a feeling I'm going to have to not sit in my normal seat, as I could be swinging for the old codgers behind me with their tutting and sighing!!! I don't know if it's to do with the level of conviction, but the away support is generally more fair and consistent and encouraging on the whole. and it boggles my mind that 200 of us can create just as good an atmosphere and noise as 3000?! too many "sweetie rustling happy clappers"? well, even those sweetie rustlers need to get off their collective erses on Saturday and get behind our boys!!! MON CALEY EH?!!!!

i can see the crowd turning and the heads dropping if we lose an early goal. Lets hope they've been working on defensive issues this week in training

Vigurs, Tansey, polworth, OFW...all been given enough chances. Don't care who comes in for them, but they need to stay at home, or come stand in the North Stand and watch what we have to watch! If we hadn't put the best ones out on loan, I'd say give yoof a chance, are these guys being sent out to toughen up in the Highland league for a few weeks to be recalled and chucked in at the deep end? warren hasn't been good enough either...does Richie really drop his captain...how would that go with his grasp of the dressing room...

Not sure if this is what I think or want (a bit of both)...but here goes, based on Richie's comments about hiding... Esson Mackay mccart warren tremarco Mulraney Cole Draper Doran Arnier KingBilly Subs: Hoban, Raven, Gilchrist, Polworth, Tansey, Boden, Vigurs Ideally, I'd of slotted Ali down the right, but he's now part of a Sutherland Sutherland attacking partnership at the wee-er team. Jas Brown deserves a chance in the first team too, but we put him out on loan...again... I'd stick him on the bench in case we had a cheeky wee one nil to try and hold on to, and Vigz could stay at home with Fonners.

Good Luck to the man!

Think so, yeah. He was certainly doing interviews with the yoof last week. Hughes still on our payroll, so in no rush to look for anything. Butcher picking up punditry work with BT and the beeb, so that'll be paying his mortgage...

It appears to me that Richie is trying too hard to win! The games against Dundee away and Rangers away were great performances, but without the 'composure' or 'luck' in front of goal. In his desperation to pick up a win, he has abondonned what was working! All that was required was a shoring-up of defence plus a bit of a cool head at the other end. it now appears that tactics, morale, composure and effort have all been thrown out the window-hoof it up the park for whoevers up there. Essentially the team that held on to the ball too long, now won't keep the ball at feet at all. Depressing stuff. Glad I didn't do myself out of wages for that! and if the players have lost heart and confidence in their manager, they need to remember who they play for! They need to play for the shirt! For the club! For the fans! For the little kids that cry when we lose! They need to remember who 'pays their wages'
