    Love it!!

Totally agree with all that - I used the example of the Mountain Cafe in Aviemore to illustrate that point - the premises are nothing fancy (& too small for the demand - often have to queue to get in), but the food & (especially) the baking is awesome!

It's a lovely idea & one that I'd fully support, but really can't see the club going for it. Maybe, as suggested elsewhere, a joint venture? If the quality of the cafe was good enough (there are lots of decent places in town already, so it would have to be excellent), maybe this might be a draw by itself? Best example of somewhere like this I can think of is the Mountain Cafe in Aviemore. It's definetly worth talking about ideas like this, so good on you Caman for suggesting it & getting a discussion going!
  4. Said this on the Iain Vigurs thread already, but I'm hoping a change of manager will improve Polly - RF's management skills & tactical nous were, well....suspect (polite version)!!
  5. Brad's definetly hidden the scarf....
  6. That's kind of my impression of Vigurs as well - would put Polworth in this category as well. Hopefully the man-management skills of Robbo will get the best out of these guys (& the rest of the team - felt that the 'people' side of RF as manager was his weakest - not that tactically he was strong either!). I remember being at the 3-0 defeat to Accies in Jan, watching our midfield just being ran over the top off - definetly think Vigurs & Polworth, given the guidance of a good manager, are far better players than that & will be crucisl this coming season..
  7. Will try & read that, always good to have a player who has a point to prove..lookibg forward to seeing him in action!
  8. Current official logo is fine...not the 'pride of the highlands' version!
  9. Haha,very good...
  10. Happy now? Text deleted!! I'll enjoy singing we've got a bridge & a castle....!!
  11. Who red dotted me for that - only having a laugh!!
  12. Does make you wonder...at least we seem to be capable of finding decent players without Marsella on board!
  13. If Brad hands the scarf over, think he will be a solid signing...pleasantly suprised at the calibre of player we seem to be attracting (with the BIG caveat that the season hasn't started yet & they haven't been really tested yet), but, grounds for optimism..
  14. That's my big hope for both Vigurs & Polworth - a manager with tactical nous who can get the best out of the players. Both Polly & Vigurs are match winners on their day - unfortunately, that day doesn't seem to come around very often!!
  15. I'm NOT a Krankies fan, let's get that straight right now!!
  16. The Krankies might be more entertaining than some of last seasons football...
  17. One thistle is much the same to wikipedia as another, I think..
  18. Fair point....why didn't whoever put the info on ictfc.com not just post it on social media? Or tell whoever does the social media posts... Bit amateurish...but easily fixed...
  19. I saw it in ICTFC.com early afternoon on the day of the game (yesterday)
  20. Anyone know if the clach game is definetly off tonight?
  21. I fear the same thing may happen again, with the changes made - however, like the look of Seedorf & Calder so far. I would have loved to have kept Munro as long as possible (do feel he could have had at least another season with us, but that's in the past), but ageing players do need replacing at some point! Will definetly need to think about who follows Warren & Raven at some point ( they who replaced the stalwarts, have become stalwarts themselves!) - neither are getting any younger..maybe Seedorf & Calder are the start of this? Not sure about Eldson, seems decent, but think he is just here to get game time - if he's decent enough, Boro would probably keep him or sell him on... Mind you, we got Tansey (& Doran too, I think) as a result of sucessful loan deals, so you never know..
  22. That's exactly my thoughts - I remember being pretty pi*%ed off when our stalwarts such as Tokeley, Munro & Russel D were released for players I'd heard of, but, like you said, little room for sentiment with these sorts of decisions & it was the right decision, in hindsight. Glad I don't have to make them!!
  23. Maybe, but I thought he did fine last season (despite the goals leaked - mainly down to RF tactics leaving the centre halfs exposed) - and some erratic goalkeeping from OFW!! Probably got a point though, could see him going after this season - think he is contract is up at the end of this season? Whether he stays or goes, Raves will always be welcome up here - will never forget seeing him score the winning goal at Hampden against Celtic! Sentiment aside, do take your point - he isn't getting younger but think he's worth seeing out the year left on his contract - but if Robbo can bring in younger talent on his wage, then, maybe worth saying 'adios'
