Best wishes to the man. Did excellent when in the managerial chair. Personal problems caused him stress and grief that none of us would have liked to go through. However, at the end of the day, he was drawing a wage that none of us could see and reason for.

I've not watched any Champions League games. Got rid of the subscription channels a few seasons ago. Not missed it at all.

Fair to say we were beaten by a 44 year old veteran (and legend) and an outstanding Highland League goalkeeper. Well done the Wee County and good luck in the final.

Fairly standard new manager speech. Talks the talk well and comes across with enthusiasm. I too have slept on my earlier thoughts and I still have my doubts. We certainly needed a change that is for sure. Whether this is the right one remains to be seen. Good luck to him, the club and, perhaps more importantly, the bank balance.

Despite everything going on at the club and the disgruntled support I wasn't expecting a crowd figure of 2388. I take it there was a large Pars contingent? Was there any protest?

Hopefully the new signings will settle into the side quickly and make a big difference. If they don't then they will, at least, add another chapter to Doods new book 'A 1001 Excuses For Being Shite'

I fully understand where you're coming from Duke. It's a long way for me to travel to games and over the years I've covered goodness knows how many miles supporting the team. I loved those days of the Pele era and, yes, those of Butcher and Robbo too. Great footballing sides which of course had it's ups and down's but mostly up's. Since starting to support Caley and ICT I've been to about 210 games. Pretty good I'd say for a guy from Coventry (0). In one season alone I went to 21 games!! For me, as stated many times in various threads in here, the decline began in 2015 after we won the cup. I'd also add that I had no enthusiasm whatever for the SPL so you could possibly say my travels slowed down a lot back then. From a supporters eye it does seem clear to me that there must be some kind of agenda to run the club in to the ground. Hopefully this is totally the wrong view point but there's nothing evident, to me, that this isn't the case. I live in hope that things will change very soon but I can't see it happen with the current gang in charge. Please ICT, as the song goes, Relight My Fire.

We are in a lose lose situation I think. Sack Dodds at great expense and bring in a new manager,also at possibly greater expense. Any new manager would want a clear out I think and bring in his on backroom staff and new players. We are stuck with what we have unfortunately and will be relying on a big turn around in form to avoid disaster. Having said there are far too many at the top table that don't appear to be earning their wage. This needs looking at as a cost saving measure and then, perhaps, we may have funds to negotiate a change of management. Not going to happen though unfortunately.

I'm not up to speed of the technical aspects of the site. I'm sure Scotty will be along soon to bale us both out. He's five hours behind us by the way so probably still snoring away in bed 😄

Whoops! Not sure how that's happened. It doesn't seem possible to correct it but I'll have a ward with the gaffer as he's cleverer than me.
