  1. Relegation would definitely be a disaster for our club. Yes, we have succeeded before in the lower divisions but I doubt we'd cope again. Relegation would see the squad being decimated and there would, almost certainly, be a return to part-time football. It doesn't bare thinking about.
  2. In the cemetery I saw four men carrying a coffin round and round. 3 hours later I saw them again and I thought to myself, They've lost the bloody plot!
  3. Great thread this.... Some very good points being made here but I think the crooks of the matter is football, generally, is pricing itself out of business. I also believe the weather does have an effect on games especially if we aren't playing well and also if we are taking on 'lesser' opposition. I also believe the way supporters get treated is a factor for some too. To pay your expensive entry fee to be watched like and hawk and treated like a leper makes folk think twice. You are also treated like a naughty schoolboy/girl and told to sit down (yes I know it?s a 'rule' that we have to adhere to) by over enthusiastic stewards who are on a power trip. Just imagine being treated the same way in major retail store, you wouldn?t be too pleased and would, probably, never return. Football today is big business and this ?big business? needs to take a good look at itself and see how it can improve the way it looks after its customers but for the life of me I can?t ever see that happening. The good old supporter will continue to come along and turn out his/her pockets for the club of their choice, but, for how much longer is anyone?s guess.
  4. Our squad may be fitter under Craig's managment but fittness doesn't seem to be getting us points on the board. It also doesn't matter if we lose by the odd goal or whether we lose by 6 goals it equals the same points - zero.
  5. Darn disgrace sacking Ramos, I thought he was doing a great job a Spurs And as for Harry, well, he is just a money grabbing cockney. Those Pompey fans must be really baying for his blood now.
  6. Aye Alex, there is a chance we may go there and get a result but for the life of me I can't see us scoring. And our defence will not be able to keep them out. I'd love us to go there and grab the three points - I just can't see it happening.
  7. We have no goalscorers of SPL quality and we have no solid defenders of SPL quality. I fear the writing is on the wall for ICT. Just how long do we have to 'keep the faith with Brewster' before the facts actually start to bite?
  8. :thumb04: Agree with all of the above. They are nothing but a bunch of incompetent losers and will take us taxpayers for a ride every time, no matter what party is in power. If they?d spend have as much cash on this country as they do on foreign affairs that have nothing to do with us we?d be world beaters by now.
  9. I think I can safely say that we arn't going to get anything from Ibrox next week, so, with that in mind, we will have 10 pts from 11 games. Exactly the same ammount of points as this time last season.
  10. I know there used to be an Inverness Ladies team but I am not too sure if they are still around or whether they were part of the club (ICT) in any way.
  11. Stranraer v Raith the Draw please at 3.50
  12. I have been to two LC 1/4 finals with ICT, we lost 5-1 and 4-1 respectively so I think it'd be best if I stayed away from this one..
  13. As far as I know Joe there's never been a hard and fast rule over the cup. I usually select the all Div1/2/3 ties for the NAPS.
  14. They're down my neck of the woods.......I'll send them up.
  15. Never had any real problems myself. I've even used Scottish notes in my local pub. The only one niggle I had was when I used a Scottish ?10 note for some petrol. The youth said he didn't know whether he could accept it or not (young, speckled faced, never been out of the country, type yoof he was) all I said was it's all I had as I'd just come back from Scotland and that I wasn't prepared to syphon it out of the tank!! ?10 note was then accepted without further hesitation. Mrs G has, however, had problems at the local Sainsbury's store...(which reminds me, I must go there one day, full a trolly up and use Scottish notes to pay for it. If they refuse then they will have to put all the food back) There will be no problem with Scottish notes at any railway station. Most will accept Euro's too but the exchange rate will not be favourable!!

  17. Did anyone see Stokes second pen' against Spurs yesterday? The pen' hit the goalies left hand post, ran across the line to hit the other post and rebounded back to the penalty taker who then hit the bar. Amazing bad luck.

  20. The thing that bothers me JV (and one or two others) is, what appears to be, Brewster's dropping and hooking of players for personal rather tactical reasons. Ian Black is a prime example. I forget which game is was but Ian had a great first half and was hooked for the second..why? Maybe CB would be the 'half decent' manager we are looking for if made changes to benifit the team rather than his ego. And yes, I agree with you, we are not big enough to attract better managers.
  21. I think as football supporters we are treated very badly by the authorities. The amount of money we pay to get into games should lead to a greater respect. This doesn't happen at football grounds. Once inside the turnstiles we are almost always treated like little school boys (and girls) and told to sit down and shut up. If we were treated like that in, say, a large store, there would be uproar. I guess as football fans we tend to accept the treatment that is handed out to us. I agree we should all make complaints on a regular basis every time we get treated like dirt, but we don't.
  22. Back in those days I only a tape deck (no vinyl) and I played Seventh Sojourn to death. A few others went the same way too. It was Hakwinds Silver Machine that inspired me to buy the In Search of Space album. Silver Machine was the groups only hit single I believe although they never released many. I loved that single so much I even painted my push bike silver...including the tyre's...
  23. Baring in mind we haven't played the (so called) big two yet, after eight games we are only four points better off than at this stage last season. The better judgement may come after 11. Having said that, from what I've seen on the park, I believe the team are better than last season but only slightly. I had grave fears for us this season and these fears, although allayed at the moment, may still return. Are next three game are against Celtic (h) Motherwell (h) and Rangers (a) and I think we'd be lucky to come away with a point. Brewsters tactics and his hooking of players for personal reasons is a big worry. I,m with IHE on this one were he say's "If we had a half decent manager we would be up at the top in a season where the standards have really fallen"
