  1. Pitlochry ice cream was rather nice (can't remeber name of shop) - had one during a Highland March, yummy yummy.
  2. Hi Tug.....thanks for your enquiry re the HM. At this stage there are no plans in place yet for HM6. There will be vacant spaces for newcomers next year and we could add your name to the pecking order if you wish. Plans and training for the HM's usually kicks off late Oct / Early Nov. The problem we have is knowing where we'll be walking to / from due to the wretched SPL split. Watch this space.
  3. Another sad loss to the world of football. I'll always remember his goal against the high flying Leeds in the FA Cup Final. [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6984906.stm]Ian Porterfield
  4. I've printed one off and posted it on the notice board at work... :001: :004:
  5. ..and when they put the players number and name on the back you won't see your name..!!!
  6. Don't worry my Scottish friends England will not prosper in this competition. I watched the game yesterday (as well as Scotland and a wee bit of the Welsh game) and I thought Israel made England look good. I too am peed off with the studio guests and presenter(s) when England are playing - I use the 'mute' button on the remote which makes everything a lot better :004: :004: As for leaving the ground early when your team is 3 up is under (or down) is utter pish - apparently they were leaving early to get out of the car park quicker!!!
  7. James Blunt........................ :33: :33: :33: :fighting04: :finger01: :spam01: :spam01:
  8. Not had any problems with the feeds at my end. I was, however, very disappointed with the Hibs coverage. They showed our missed spot kick and apart from that it was all Hibs. According press match reports we had 5 shots on target and 11(i think) shots off and forced 11 corners and the Beeb couldn't show any of them. Typical I suppose.
  9. Robbie Bl00dy Williams...can't stand the arrogant, big headed tw@. On the subject of Queen...overated in my opinion and they had the worst sounding guitar (Brian May) in the whole of rock.
  10. ......and use it on both sides :015:
  11. Was talking to an Owls fan at work...he goes to loads of games. He say's ICT had a lucky escape saying Bullen was...erm..not very good when he came to them four years ago and he's now four years older!!!!... :004: :004: :crazy07:
  12. I was watching the Sheff W v Bristol C game on Sky yesterday - Bullen was shite, thank gawd we ain't getting him. :004:

    Citadel FC

Thanks for that. Been past the pub loads of times and often wondered if there was a connection. I've just had look through the Old Maps web site and found a map which shows the football ground. I can't copy it due to copyrights in place but if you go to the web site and search for Inverness you'll find it. The first map shown is from 1874 but if you scroll down the page you'll find three smaller maps with a 'right' directional arrow. Keep clicking on that until you come to the 1932 map. Click on the map and use the 'up' arrow a few times to find the ground. Hope this helps.

    Citadel FC

There's a pub (well there was a pub - it's recently closed) near there called the Citadel - any conections there with the football club?
  18. 9 - we'll beat Hibs, Tarts and Falkirk. :011:
  19. Kind of shows it doesn't really matter how fit you are, if the ol' ticker doesn't want to play then it's game over. A sad loss to the world of football et al.

    The Howden End

The first game in Airdrie (2-2) was my first ever Caley match, almost won it too had it not been for a 94th min equalizer! I didn't frequent the Howden End very often so my memories won't be as strong as other hardened Caley boys. I do recall the banter being very good mind.
  21. Probably scrape a thousand or so.
  22. A chinese resaurant proprietor paced up & down the pavement outside his establishment calling out to the passers-by "Special today plawns & flied lice (apologies to our Chinese friends) The Greek Pizza Parlour next door had a similar tipster calling out the days "speciallity" He turned the the chinese man saying "Learna to speaka da Qeen'sa hinglish you stupida mana". The chinese man had two weeks of intensive lessons before his next session on the pavement. "Special today, prawns & fried rice" he called out in perfect Queen's English. He turned to the Greek & said < < < < < < < < < < < < "How about that you Gleek plick"
  23. Alphabet spells out the ailments A is for apple, and B is for boat, that used to be right, but now it won't float. Age before beauty is what we once said, but let's be a bit more real?istic Instead... A is for arthritis; B is the bad back, C is the chest pains, per?haps car-d-iac? D is for dental decay and decline, E is for eyesight, can't read that top line. F is for fissures and fluid re?tention, G is for gas which I'd rather not mention. H is high blood pressure -I'd rather it low; I for incisions with scars you can show. J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend, K is for knees that crack when they bend. L for libido, what happened to sex? M is for memory; I forget what comes next. N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low, O is for osteo, the bones that don't grow. P for prescriptions, I have quite a few, Just give me a pill and I'll be good as new. Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu? R for reflux, one meal turns to two. S for sleepless nights, counting my fears, T for tinnitus; there's bells in my ears. U is for urinary; big trou?bles with flow; V is for vertigo, that's "dizzy" you know. W is for worry, now what's going round? X is for X-ray, and what might be found. Y is another year I'm left here behind, Z is for zest that I still have in my mind. I've survived all the symp?toms, my body's deployed, and I?ve kept 26 "doctors" Fully employed (Author unknown)
  24. What like are the roads and have you checked to see if the ferry is running? :driving01: :rotflmao: :blah01:
