  1. Many congratulations to TM4TJ in winning this contest. :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04: I let myself down in the later stages by against 'my rules' and shot myself in the foot - having said, I think TM4TJ was just out of reach anyway. I also enjoying my battle with Harry and Scotty for the runners up spot - well done Harry, you were just that bit better. Thanks also the Scotty for running the contest which kept the interest in the WC alive for many. A great game and all good preparation for the forthcoming NPL (wonder if I can get as points in that one...)
  2. Maybe we'll get two minutes coverage now instead of one! :007:
  3. Hmm..good point guys...maybe we'd better not help Brum after all... :015: :015:
  4. Another clean sheet...thats seven games now without conceeding a goal, now thats got to be good.
  5. Gotta get me one o' them....
  6. :015: :015: :015: I always look forward to spending time with you two... :004: :004: :001: :015:
  7. Can I urge you all to spend as much as possible at JJB stores over the next seven days. We can't risk Wigan falling short of raising the £5.5M for Heskey. :015: :015:
  8. Who said I'd be looking forward to that?... :004: Ah, go on then.... looking forward to ... miles and miles of walking in training for HM5 ... hours and hours of swimming in training for HM5 ... blisters (not!) ... the smell of Deep Heat ... Jnr's farting ceremony every piggin' morning ... the camaraderie (spell check on...) … the route planning (which reminds me – must get some more pins!) … the sheer exhilaration on completing the march … the ‘excitement’ of not knowing where were going until the last minute
  9. Thanks for the update Charles - not a tough work out then!. Helps with match fitness I suppose. Always nice to see ICT hitting double figures though, but I doubt it'll send shock waves through the SPL.. :004:
  10. Well I can't find bog all about this football team on t'internet. I've Googled it...the lot...result...zilch. Is Montecatini a boys club side or what. I've gone through all the Serie A B C D F etc etc - nowt. Is the team actually called Montecatini ? Wouldn't mind knowing a little about the side really...just adds a bit of interest. Nearest match I could find was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.C._Montichiari Nice colours though... :004:
  11. Got to agree with that - they were the only guys talking any sense.
  12. To quote DS from the News Story... "....working closely with the Board and Chief Executive Mike Smith, who has full responsibility for the club's administrative and commercial arms..." Why does this worry me? :confused07:
  13. ....another season of… … travelling hundreds of miles in my quest for entertainment. … meeting ‘new’ nutters. … getting matches called off – just because I’m there. … banter in the Innes. … banter outside the Innes. … buying another feckin football shirt. … watching ICT winning. … watching ICT fluke a defeat. … watching ICT run rings around the ‘so called’ big boys. … match day ticket hassles. … planning a trip up - only for the date to be changed to satisfy TV. … being treated like a leper by some stewards. … chicken Tikka Massala. … pies. … having a dislike for all things OF. … SFA Cup draws. … laughing at Livvy. … laughing at County. … tabloid bullshit. … cheering every ICT goal whether I’m there or not. … kicking cats or other objects that get in my way when we concede a goal. … taking points from the OF. … reading about car parking problems. … drivel and excuses from managers of teams we have beaten. … the utterly dire Scotsport. … watching the world go by from a train window. … watching the world go by from an aircraft window. … superb refereeing! … saying 3-1, 3-1, 3-1, 3-1 on the 8th of Feb. … signing “Oh Inverness is wonderful….” … attempts to actually get the home support to make a feckin noise. … NPL mayhem. … of transfer shenanigans, rumours and bullshit. … supporting ICT, HMS Sneck and all who sail in her.
  14. My pre NPL season training is going well so far. Had a bad result last night the French but I reckon I can pull this one off with four games left. Its going to be tight.
  15. Couldn't help feeling gutted for the Australia yesterday - going out to a 93rd minute penalty from a dirty cheating Italian. The Roo's deserved better than that having had the better of the match. Unfortunately they couldn't break the Italian defence down and lacked that cutting edge up front. :009:
  16. I also reckon that the club would have lost a lot of money in this competition. None of the games would have been 'high profile' so to speak and we would, more than likely, have been played to Highland League crowds.
  17. Might go on even longer than that RS. Portugal are England's next challenge and they had two guys sent off in the match against the Dutch and it looks they'll be without their Man Utd star. Are the Gods now shining on England. We'll have to wait and see.
  18. I notice the County game on the 22nd July isn't on the list?
  19. Two English football fans in Cologne lost their car after mistakenly thinking they had parked it on a road called 'Einbahn Strasse' The pair wrote down 'Einbahn Strasse' so they didn't forget where they'd left the hire car. But when they came to find it again they found that every second street in the inner city was called 'Einbahn Strasse'. It was only when they found a policeman that they were told the sign was to inform drivers that they were on a one-way street. 'Einbahn Strasse' means one-way street in German. They finally managed to find their vehicle hours later with the help of the German police. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1884931.html?menu= :015: :015:

A real shame for the lad. He'll now be on sick pay for a good six months now... :017: Can't really see England getting much further in this competition - there'll be tears of joy in Highlands on Sunday. :004:
  21. Just got to be at home on the 29th....surely? Our last two SPL seasons started with an away fixture - but this is the SPL after all. Here's hoping anyway.
  22. I keep getting done by late goals (and disallowed late goals). Had a bad day yesterday though.
  23. South Korea fans were superb as were most of the African nations fans. Must be great to be amongst that lot.
  24. Harry Chibber 812 and Caley83 812 pts...blimey!!!! ??? ??? :o
  25. England v Paraguay - What an awful game of football on the World stage. I've seen better SFL 3rd Div matches than that pile of mince.
