Had SPFL went to clubs and their fans with the tentative (imposed) plan for same day Hampden they could have went back to Hampden/SFA and said if you hold us to this you will need to respond/be accountable to what will be massive opposition and anger from Aberdeen, Hearts their fans and the Police Federation all for putting profit over sense. SFA and Hampden have been very quiet on all this.

It would be an unmitigated disaster for us to lose Robbo. He has proven adept not only at rebuilding a squad from a fraction of previous budgets but man management has been good too. I can’t think of anyone who would come in if he went and do similar and it would likely result in a blip that could cost us playoff/promotion.

The SFA board and Professional Game board must have had a vote on this. Was there a motion to seek an exemption to the (dubious) contract to have both at Hampden? Was it voted against? Or was the contract unchallenged? The proper option was Murrayfield and if that wasn't even attempted or was voted down that should be clear. The SFA v SPFL and a lack of transparency.

Who are the football powers that be? This seems to vindicate Henry Mcleish's view of a dominant SPFL and a cowed SFA. The SFL President, when the SPL and SFL merged, called it a takeover. This is a perfect example of how this is playing out, and why ICT also had to make such trips - supposedly the SPFL were taken aback by that furore and wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Same stadium, same plans, same protocols, police on shifts, same staff (on shifts) saves a shed load of costs. It's not just even TV money now, it's pure business. Sadly, the attachment and FOMO of supporters has been factored in to SPFL decision making that would otherwise be different.

That's baseless. Don and Jen, on a Saturday, attended the Supporters Summit in Motherwell, leaving very early and arriving late back. They obtained and passed on an SLO handbook to the club which has all the proper guidance backed by UEFA and SFA, which states clearly and unequivocally that it is for, in ICT's case, Yvonne / Graeme to appoint someone suitable. In fact, my quote above, which you green dotted, is from the SLO handbook and is in what they passed to Yvonne. To cast aspersions on ulterior motives amongst the trust board, you have to have some evidence (rationally), which you don't. In fact, the supporters trust have went to some length (Motherwell) to ensure it is done by the book (literally and figuratively). The only issue here is to choose between an SLO that is a position, someone you could yourself speak to at a home/away match (you could pass on your conspiracy theories on ICT ST and their scooby-doo like plans) or an info@ email that may or may not be forwarded on to the correct person by another person. That's why Partick have a FT SLO, and why Ross County have Kenny MacLennan with Twitter, etc etc. etc. Feels like Downton Abbey with Carson chiding the staff.

It is as dougal says. The role of SLO must be filled by a who, it is not for the supporters trust to decide the who. "The job specification will be tailored to the requirements of the club and it is therefore senior management who will make the appointment. The newly appointed SLO, while meeting the requirements of the club management, must be widely accepted by the fans, as it is they who the SLO will mainly represent" (Supporters Direct Scotland).

Queen of the South SLOs have pic profiles on the club website with club emails. Dunfermline SLOs are reported to be from their supporters trust and one is the fan rep on their club board, but have generic email addresses.

Your choice then would be a FT/PT appointee as with Dundee Utd (Moira Hughes), Falkirk (Connor Park), Morton (Graham Barr) , Partick (Beth Adamson) , Ross County (Kenny MacLennan). Or the Dunfermline and QotS voluntary supporter model, shared amongst three and four supporters respectively. Ayr and Alloa have no info.

I wasn't at the game but on the match day thread I made the same observation. It is slightly unorthodox to wait until the 88th minute to make the first sub - wouldn't it have disrupted the understanding? Robbo has tacit knowledge in these matters and will have weighed it all up pitchside - there's a lot to be said for a 'feel for the game' in philosophy and even more so in its literal application here. This was a game we could draw and be the happier lot. To be balanced, it could be viewed as having not had faith in the subs - McCart and Calder, but I'm not sure subs would have resulted in a win, the draw was advantage ICT. Robbo has done fantastically, a £1m off the budget and we are well on target - and all signings making a mark. There is no reason why we can't win the league - but we need to stay injury-free and strengthen in January.

More funding for clubs with already ‘in-place’ facilities, more spending for those without. A funding hurdle based on number of youth players gone on to represent Scotland, advantage to populated areas. In-built advantage (populous - chance of better player) and access to the key investment/resource (JD performance schools) by virtue of being a club in a more densely population area. The logic from Scotland manager of trying to be playing the best possible opposition (Mexico, Belgium, Portugal) contradicted by a systematic prevention in Project Brave on the basis of no. of FT coaching staff, not player ability or results. Structurally designed to avoid smaller club success over better-funded/larger clubs from being seen. More onus on the club (than the SFA). More financial risk and burden for clubs and coaches relegated from Premiership and for Championship teams. Except for JD Performance schools, which are almost all located in Central Belt, the SFA has outsourced the coaching through funding - but no transparency as to its level, timeframe, conditions. Clubs like Livingston and Falkirk leaving Project Brave. Brainchild of Malky MacKay but criticised by Henry McLeish for being skewed towards biggest teams and for SPFL targets and not for the national interest.
