  1. So, is he from Montenegro or Portugal? Does he average 35 goals a season? If so how come if he's only played two games? With all the golf he plays where does he fit in the time to score? And whats he on trial for? Does he even exist? One of my children had an imaginary friend as a toddler. Maybe this guy's someones imaginary friend.
  2. My first was friday 14th nov 2003 at TCS. We went 3-0 up in the space of three minutes. Bingham 30, Hislop 31 and Wilson 33. Unfortunately they scored one before half time and a couple in the second to draw the game. Report here http://caleythistleonline.com/page/TPL/fixtures.html
  3. The ICT 6 know a fair bit about Nordsjaelland and their bonny wee stadium. Especially the alcoholic refreshments. And we drew 1-1 against them in 30+ degrees.
  4. I am forever the eternal optimist but sadly, where Scotland is concerned, I dont think either Fletcher will make a blind bit of difference so long as Levien calls the shots. the lone striker and nine defenders will never get us wins. And only wins are going to get us to the finals.
  5. Check any Scottish banknote and you'll see we still promise to pay the bearer in sterling. Couple of points here. Firstly IF Scotland were to vote for separation, the SNP would become completely redundant because they're only, to echo Billy Connolly's reference to the "wee pretendy parliament", a "wee pretendy political party" - inasmuch as they are in effect only really a single issue pressure group and simply don't give a toss about anything apart from separation and their referendum. Absolutely everything they do and think is governed hook, line and sinker by their sole objective of a yes vote. As a result in their book the best interests of the Scottish people in their every day lives are totally secondary to the SNP's sole raison d'etre. Which brings me on to what would happen after a yes vote. There would now be no need for an SNP so politics would revert to a contest among the "real" parties whose priorities, whether you agree or disagree with them, revolve round proper mainstream politics and not the SNP's single issue. So you are back where you started - so a yes vote would change absolutely nothing in that respect. Secondly, I would also endorse yngwie's point that it doesn't seem all that long since the separatist lobby was singing the praises of Ireland and Iceland from the "arc of prosperity" So... "you're not singing.. you're not singing... you're not singing any more" on that one because these countries have now become classic examples of small population bases finding it so easy to become financial basket cases when the going gets tough. Instead you quote Norway (finite oil reserves are just for Christmas... separation is for life) Denmark and Sweden. Right... so that'll be Norway where the standard rate of income tax is 28% (20% here), petrol is 25% dearer than it is here (see what having so much oil does for them!) and drink is so expensive that even if Salmond's EU challenged price hike were applied here, ours would still seem dirt cheap... etc etc.... Somebody also mentioned dictatorship. I really can't think of a more complete dictatorship than the SNP where all the party gofers and apparatchiks from Sturgeon downwards are all clones of Salmond (in mind if not in body )... right down to that silly patronising little giggle which he affects and which all the acolytes sycophantically copy. I see your adopting the anti-brigades use of selective journalism Charles. You forgot to add that the average salary in Norway is almost £4000 a month. UK is just over £2000. The Norwegian government also uses its cash wisely and to the full benefit of its people hence Norway has the best standard of living in the world. Full years maternity / paternity leave paid. free kindergarten for children from 1 year old to allow parents to return to work if they so choose. Free healthcare for all. Free education and supported higher education. Free care for the elderly. Average lifespan of 78 for males and 83 for females. Norwegians on the whole are a lot better off than we are. And if they want a drink, which is not a cultural importance to them, they jump on a plane to Aberdeen airports duty free.
  6. Why would we want to play a rankers song?
  7. Go to http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=482&team2_id=2117&teamTabs=h2h and all the info can be found. Click on scores for further info from each game. Like Wiki its not always accurate but is a decent starting point.
  8. The most hilarious thing is that, no matter the thread, and having been away from internet for quite a while now, there seems to be more of an obsession with whats happening over the water than whats happening with our own team. let them be what they are and do what they want, they'll never outshine us. As for the Chieftain, back in the early days they tried to make themselves an ICT pub. Even suggested puting a bus on but nobody showed interest. probably because the place is a bit out of the way but more likely because its a dive more suited to OTB fans.
  9. idiomatic
  10. I shrug off the negativity of defeat by liking my football hobby to fishing. Can pay a small fortune to go fishing and not catch anything. Can pay a small fortune to watch my team not win.
  11. Cards are part and parcel of the game and some players can be unlucky to see red. I dont think, however, that anyone deliberately gets sent off. They feel the effects in their wages. To me this thread is just an excuse to moan.
  12. Ian Black? Is that the same Ian Black who has only ever had one red card in his career.............69 yellows though. Info courtesy of Soccerbase
  13. The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them.....................to the lower echelons of Scottish Football and with no silver to adorn the cabinet of emptiness.
  14. Should be 42£ an hour but its discounted. Must have got the rates advice from the local plumbers
  15. At times dougal you talk some utter p!sh. None of our players display a lack of discipline. What they do display is a passion and desire to win the ball. That may, at times, result in a mistimed tackle but the intent is to win the ball. Sadly the game is turning so namby pamby, and the refs so cr@p, that what should be a fairly physical sport is becoming more akin to ping-pong.
  16. But they have an IV postcode and are closer to TCS than Dalneigh Elgin has an IV postcode...............what's the point caller. Fort William has a PH postcode.................does anyone give a feck about postcodes. The fact is our communities department have been active in schools for many years. This time made the press because of the vandalism and not because ICT players visited.
  17. Depends what you want the insurance for. Is it to refund cancelled travel or accomodation? You can purchase annual cover from around £40 a year.
  18. I hear that the reason for that is because one person has bought up all the hospitality in the hope of selling it on at a small profit.
  19. At least three tables were sold according to Peter Paul's photo album.
  20. Get shot of Levien and all will be resolved!!!
  21. Oh dear.........tickets went on sale over a month before a game and someone forgot to publicise the fact till three weeks before the game. How much notice does anyone actually need? Going by attendances at other 'big' games this season I doubt the home stands will sell out anyway so anyone who does want to attend will easilly get a ticket. If County sell their allocation plus some then I'd be very happy for our club. We will be adding to our income.
  22. Caledonia
  23. Ach I think folks are taking this medals thing a bit too serious.
  24. thunder
  25. If he was wearing a light teeshirt then how do they know about the tatoo on his upper back?
