They're in the position they're in on merit. They now need to wait till wed night for the party though.

As Yngwie say's it wasn't a bad game. Both sides were pretty evenly matched and both defences held firm. A fair result in the end. Referee was questionable though.

The correct info..........Sandy Catto and other board members of ICT took up the 250k budgetry shortfall last year with interest free loans to the club. Its nothing secret and was noted in the accounts. Though individual names were not given. I believe these loans were made before Muirfeild Mills came on the scene.

Tuffey Proctor, Tokely, Golobart, Shinnie G Hayes, Tansey, Ross, Doran Tade, McKay I believe those are the players that will put the most heart into the game. The ones who try and play for the jersey.

Put alert at No 2, creative at No 7 and belief at 11 and you have a team.

Your scenario shows that Fergie has great integrity and that he was very adaptible. He seen that Beckham and his stick insect were becoming too big headed for MU so he siezed the opportunity and changed things.

Good honest ex Jaggies it is then!!!

Not sure what his contract details are at Wigan but he could well be looking for a club if they go down this season.

I would tend to disagree with you there CD. Control and Influence is no more than a disguise for bullying. What a good manager / leader needs is Integrity, communication skills, vision, ability to build relationships, ability to influence, develop teamwork, good decision making and planning skills, ability to coach and develop, to delegate responsibility, to trust and to be trusted but most of all to be adaptable. Adaptibility is about realising that things are not going to plan and taking action to sort it. Its about embracing change and being flexible to whats required and treating that as new opportunity. That, for me, is where Butcher is lacking. When things are going wrong he doesn't sieze the opportunity and make change to get it right. Instead he appears to bully his way through things and ends up getting the wrong reactions. He constantly jumps on the defensive, be it comments from the crowd or press, and will never admit that maybe its he who needs to change. If Terry could sort that aspect of himself I believe he would have more successes.

Is it time we all put the life around us into perspective? Hoggy's latest Blog: <a href="http://chrishoggthefightback.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/perspective.html">PERSPECTIVE I've took a little sabbatical from the blog lately. I just wanted to see wether I still had the urge to document things and wether I still needed it as things have been going very well in my rehab. Firstly, the answer is yes I do need it as I realise that I actually enjoy writing which for a boy from Middlesbrough who only really ever went to school for the banter and sports is quite something. I've come to realise that its a good avenue for myself to explore as you find things out about yourself. You realise that its good to get things down from your mind, it gives you a release mentally. Also, recently I have had people say things like "Why haven't you done your blog lately? Ive really enjoyed reading it" and I also had someone say to me "Please update your blog as a friend of mine has been drawing strength from it who is also going through a hard time". Things like the last one just blow my mind and I really appreciate the support Ive had through this. This update basically is all about the word PERSPECTIVE. This is something that I know most of us in the sporting world lose track of sometimes. We live in a 'Sports Bubble'. This is w hen you think the world revolves around your chosen game which in my case is football. I have come straight from school into this football bubble and Ive been lucky enough to keep in this so called bubble for 10 years now. This Bubble consists of my world revolving around my game. Eat Sleep Train Play football. Everyday is all about preparing for a Saturday. Nothing else matters. When you win a game your personal high is unbelievable your on cloud 9. When you lose a game your in the depths of despair and the next few days are miserable. Anyway this bubble has been evaporated for me in recent times and I think this is partly me getting older but also recent events that have took place in the last few weeks have made me realise theres more important things in life than a game. As you get older the meaning of the game doesn't fade and your intensity doesn't but I think an awareness grows of its not the end of the world if you play badly or lose a game its all about how you respond to those circumstances. You are all most certainly aware of what has happened recently to Fabrice Muamba. If you are not aware Fabrice is a 23 year old footballer who suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch whilst playing for his club Bolton. This shook the football world and also the world in general. Fabrice received CPR on the pitch in front of 40 odd thousand people, his team mates and a watching TV audience of millions and was effectively dead for over an hour as paramedics battled to save his life. Miraculously Fabrice survived and is currently recovering in hospital in intensive care. I was actually watching the game on TV as it was all happening and I felt physically sick watching. I don't know if everyone felt like me but I almost felt it was a close friend of mine going through it. I could feel myself saying at the TV "Come on mate come on, please be ok". Now I don't know him personally but I have played against him and it affected me. I spent the rest of the night glued to the TV watching news channels and checking twitter for updates. Everybody started asking the question "How could that happen to a sportsman at an elite level?". It's a scary question. Bringing it all back now to PERSPECTIVE. I thought my knee injury was the end of my world. At first my career could have been over. The next thing was 'Hoggy it's going to be 12 months' then after the operation it was 'Hoggy 6-9 months'. Now, as my rehab is going along I cant believe the progress I have made. My knee is getting stronger and stronger day by day. I still have to take some rest days as it gets sore with some of the progressions but on a scale of 1-10 im seriously feeling 10. My muscle bulk is starting to come back and I'm working harder than ever to get back asap.(without rushing of course). I will hopefully be jogging in a couple of weeks and using the summer break to build myself up and come back stronger than ever. This has been a big test for me this injury and at the start plunged me into a place where I'd never been. Facing upto the prospect of finishing football. I know I am basically going to have to start from scratch and prove my fitness and form when I get back playing but I seriously cant wait to prove any doubters wrong and get back to playing at the level I know I can. Flip all that around and imagine going through what Fabrice and his family have been through and are still going through. WOW! Now thats a real test and for me puts my injury and the whole football bubble into perspective. At the end of the day its just a game and we all get carried away with it. When it comes down to it though there is nothing more important than life itself. In my opinion the health of my family and friends comes above all else. Yes I love the game and its been my life from a young age but anything I have done in my career is insignificant compared to the experiences and bonds I have with my family and friends. Also I just want to relay another event which put everything into perspective for me lately. This years Scottish League Cup Final. I have been lucky enough to win this trophy with Hibs in 2007 and I know the delights of winning it and all the emotions everyone feels with such a victory. It's a day that will live with me forever. This years final was deservedly won by Kilmarnock FC. However their glory soon turned to despair at the news of one of their players Liam Kelly's Dad suffering a heart attack at the final whistle. It's not really my place to write about it but my heart goes out to Liam and again I don't know him personally but I felt an empathy with him. Its something that breaks your heart to hear about. My thoughts are strongly with Liam and his family after such sad news. So, just to finish I would just like to say that these events that have happened recently has seriously given me and I suppose the whole Football world some PERSPECTIVE on everything. Yes my injury was a serious one and I know its a long road back but in terms of what other people are going through it is miniscule. This is my own personal battle in which I will win. Football is a game and we lose touch on that sometimes. In reality Life is what its all about. Work hard. Chase your dreams. Never give up and seize any opportunity that comes your way to better yourself. Most of all enjoy it. "I FALL. I RISE. I MAKE MISTAKES. I LIVE. I LEARN. I'VE BEEN HURT BUT I'M ALIVE. I'M HUMAN. I'M NOT PERFECT BUT I'M THANKFUL" Read it all at http://chrishoggthefightback.blogspot.co.uk/?spref=tw

Interesting piece of trivia that. So of those who has won the most trophies in their time as manager of their current clubs? Neil Lennon has 2 cups Which two? From what I can see: Neil Lennon ------- Scottish Cup Peter Houston --- Scottish Cup Terry Butcher ---- 1st Division Trophy

Just realised Butcher is the longest serving of all the current SPL managers.

And I was hoping fer two home games in the final week and the biggest pisss up and the shortest march/crawl ever !! Ye'll just hae tae wait till next year for the possibility of the shortest march ever. I note on Scotprem that there are two televised bottom half games. St Mirren v Hibs and Hibs v Dunfermline. And here are some Scotprem Q&A's Post-split fixtures Q&A How are the fixtures for rounds 34-38 determined? The most important thing is to try to ensure clubs finish the season having played 19 games at home and 19 away. In two of the previous three years this has been achieved but, unfortunately, it was simply impossible to balance the list for 2011/12. As a result, Kilmarnock will play 20 home games and St Johnstone have only 18 home games. Various versions of the round 34-38 fixture list are produced and we then select the one that provides the best fit overall. In line with previous seasons, all clubs will finish the season either home/away or away/home. Will some clubs play certain opponents three times at home and once away? Fixture reversals, to a greater or lesser extent, have been required in each of the 12 seasons that the split has been around. So what games have been switched? In the top six, St Johnstone travel to Celtic and Motherwell for a third time but to compensate they host Rangers and Dundee United for a third time. In the bottom six, the Inverness CT v Hibernian fixture will be played at the Caledonian Stadium for a third time. How do you decide which fixtures are reversed? We try to achieve as balanced a fixture list as possible. Also, among the things we look at is what has happened in previous years. For example, Kilmarnock had only 18 home games in 2006/07 but will gain a home game this season. St Johnstone are losing a home game but they have gained one in the past. Is it possible to avoid reversing fixtures? The fixtures for the whole season are based on where the clubs finished in the league in the previous campaign. If Kilmarnock had made the top six, at the expense of St Johnstone, as they did in 2010/11, then we would have achieved the perfect balance of all clubs playing 19 games at home, 19 away, playing each of the teams in their half of the split twice at home and twice away. Why was the Rangers v Celtic game scheduled for Sunday April 29? This decision was taken following consultation between the clubs, the SPL and the police. Why is there a fixture on a Thursday night? In the regular season, Celtic/Rangers and Hearts/Hibernian always play at home on alternate weekends but, given the many constraints when compiling the post-split fixtures, it is sometimes impossible to avoid a city clash. With both Celtic and Rangers at home in the midweek of May 2, it forced us to switch one game to the Thursday. Tuesday was ruled out due to the Old Firm game the previous Sunday. Why have the split at all? In order to accommodate a league of 12 clubs, without forcing them to play too many matches (44), the split is essential. It also provides additional interest in the run up to the split itself. The final five games then involve teams playing each other to chase a common objective, whether that is European qualification or to retain their SPL status by avoiding relegation. Do you ever see the split being consigned to the history books? It would certainly make life easier from a fixturing point of view! However, as long as the 12-team league remains in place, then so will the split – as it has done since we moved from a 10-team set-up to the current system for the 2000/01 season. There has been much debate about league structure over the past couple of years but, ultimately, it is up to the clubs to vote on any change to the size of the league.

Players will go back to their own clubs. Some may even choose to move elsewhere but to be honest I'd rather keep most of what we have and change the mindset. The mindset that makes them capitulate when on top. The mindset that makes them individuals and not a team. The mindset that stops them playing to their full potential. There is a problem within the squad and its not ability. More a psychological thing. Something or someone stops them all doing what they do best.

These statements are typical of the egotistical Mr Butcher. He has a squad of some very good players but he doesn't have a team. A person can make a mistake and that mistake may result in the opposition scoring but a team would get it together and counter the mistake. Put eleven of the worlds best players together and chances are they wont be a team. Think England have proven that on many occassions. There's no team spirit with us. There's nobody capable of holding everyone together as a team. Nobody directing play. No doubt I'll face the wrath of some but Richie Foran is not a captain. He's a screamer and a moaner but not a director of play. Of the squad we have I've probably seen some seventy five percent play exceptionally well in games and I believe most can yet we aren't able to string a couple of wins together. Why? Because there is little or no emphasis on team work. That is proven by the managers after match quotes. Terry, its the team who lost this game not the individuals. And you are a part of the team. Terry, digest the bold bits and then either put up and shut up or ship out. Nothing will work without the TEAM

Spokesman for the resignee's Mr Graeme Bennett told News International this morning, "1st of April 2012 will be remembered for many years to come as the day the fools won out and changed the face of ICT forever".

I'm quite sure that if JH had signed any pre-contract the press would know about it. That'll be why there's a Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, a Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland, a Royal University of Ireland, a Theatre Royal in Waterford etc. etc. etc Oh and lets not forget the Royal Irish Academy and the Royal Irish Yacht Club etc. etc.

I would guess that £250k would get them around 12%. On top of that they've negotiated the voting rights on 30% shareholding held by Sutherland's trust. What that means I dont know.

Trains from Sneck to Aberdeen on a Sunday
Alex MacLeod replied to Caleyjag's topic in Serious Discussion
£8.20 out and £27.80 back is still cheaper than a return of £40.80 off-peak. Scotrail are not renowned for having cheap fairs on a sunday. Probably because the trains tend to be busier so no need to try and drum up trade. -
Shock Horror..............SPL in common sense crisis.

Didn't airdrie buy out Clydebank and relocate to airdrie? Couple of differences. 23 miles against 170. Clydebank were going to the wall anyway, as had Airdrieonians. One team was resurrected out of two dead ones.

Suppose thats the shortfall on this seasons income taken care of. What about next and the next after that?
