  1. Personally I've never had a problem with either but I do know many fans of other teams who will not go because they feel intimidated. Mostly at Ibrox when they have to walk by the buckie brigade.
  2. I can think of two reasons: 1. The very hostile atmosphere in and around the two Glasgow stadia on matchdays puts many off 2. The OF insistence on matches being ticket only is an inconvenience for many of those based outside Inverness
  3. Wasnt that a comedy sketch once ?.... East Fife 5, Forfar 4 The actual score that became a part of many a comedy sketch and caused the saturday night beeb results person a stutter was in Div 2 63/64 season where the score was Forfar 5 East Fife 4

  5. If any ICT fans are looking for something to do on sunday and are near Dunfermline they may want to consider going to watch the strike partnership that stopped us getting to a Scottish cup final and support the Mary Lieshman Foundation in the process. Details Here
  6. Feckin Rossco's wouldn't fit you:smile:
  7. Does the OP actually know what or who the Highland Football Academy is? The Academy is a trust whose main partners are Highland Council, Inverness CT and Ross County. They have facilities at Dingwall, Charleston Academy and Bught Park. Funding comes from the Trust partners as well as H&I Enterprise, SportScotland and The Scottish Football Partnership. The academy facilities are used by both clubs and by many other organisations around the highlands. The main aims of the Trust and other information can be found HERE As to the rest of the OP's comments............please refer to Caleyd's reply
  8. Having watched more than 18 minutes of the game before commenting I dont see any huge gulf between the top two and the rest. What I did see, however, was another display where a team got cocky and nearly blew it. St Johnston took a bit of time to get going and found themselves three down very quick. They did manage to regroup and they did manage to break down what was a pretty poor Celtic defence and they were very unlucky not to have managed the equaliser.
  9. I wouldnt say he went downhill so much as he became victim of circumstance. His first season at Hearts seen them in two cup semi's, a run in europe and fifth in the league. Romanov came in and Robbo refused to be his puppet. Ross County seen him have differences of opinion with the chairman and he left. Livingston was a hopeless cause and no manager has been able to resurrect them. He took Derry City out of the relegation zone and won a League of Ireland trophy. Once again circumstance played a part in that they were taken over by a new owner who wanted Stephen Kenny in charge. All in all, he may not have reached the glory of winning a league since leaving us but he hasn't actually done too bad.
  10. A quick look over all 12 polls so far this season, and assuming my arithmetic is reasonable, I see five outright contenders for the lead. In no particular order they are Odhiambo, Ross, Esson, Rooney and Hayes. CD, when your totting up, if two players are tied for the particular points do you give to each or split. i.e. if two are tied on three points do you give three each?
  11. Question in CBFootballs weekly quiz: Which team holds a quiz on a friday night where the losing team has to buy the biscuits? Answer - Inverness CT
  12. How many others intend to point that out?
  13. Missus and I are hopeful of being there.
  14. Its an extract from his book. He has written it as he see's it. Why are so many people getting so het up about it?
  15. Rory has always had an eye for the net. I haven't watched him play for Brechin so I cant comment on how he plays. I've always felt that given the service he'd be in the right place to score. When I last seen him play he was pretty lazy but if a ball came to him he'd take the chance. It may well be he's still the same player but getting the service and scoring from that. It may well be he's totally changed but there is still a big difference between the lower leagues and SPL.
  16. Oh fudge, didn't realise that. There is a 99.9% chance the Scotland game will be on the telly, so may affect attendance somewhat Its not on the same night Scotland v Faroes 16th Nov...............................Legends 23rd Nov

Ibrox dont do pay at the gate. You can purchase from TCS up till friday. You may be able to purchase from Rangers ticket office saturday morning. Not sure on that.
  18. Cant speak for the first two but I doubt very much that either Kingsmills or IHE would agree that the state education system let them down judging by their chosen careers and success in what they do.
  19. Is that not a bit unfair and elitest on teams like Brechin. There are many people out there with the impression that we dilute the present league. If they were competing at the higher level they'd likely cut their cloth to suit. 18 teams with playoffs as suggested earlier would work perfectly well.
  20. Suppose that counts out Barry Robson and Don Cowie then
  21. Well if that really is the case - and I'm surprised to hear that - they should tell him to go and feck himself. Actually, on checking, I dont think he has any of our current squad. Previous players on his books include Mark Brown, Richard Hastings and Dougie Imrie.
  22. That article is no more that a few paragraphs taken from his newly released autobiography. He has written it as it happened but its the press who now feel the need to stir things up by it. I'm quite sure when, and if, people read the whole book they'll see that, as far as both Drinkell and Butcher go, all that is forgotten and is no more than water under the bridge. A few of our squad have Drinkell as their agent.
  23. Touch of sour grapes there but I do agree with his very last statement. The SFA does need to take a long hard look at whats happening in the game. Our standard of referee is atrocious. There is absolutely no consistency and each ref seems to have a different interpretation of the rules.
  24. For me the location is fine. Yes it's a 20 min walk from town but what stadium in the country isn't. Its a fair distance from Glasgow city centre to Ibrox, Parkhead, Partick etc. Its a good 20 mins walk from Dundee centre to either of the two stadiums there. McDairmid is over two miles from the centre of Perth. Same goes for Edinburgh and Aberdeen and most other places I've been. The difference with all of them is that over time houses, shops and pubs have been built around the stadia. That could well happen at Longman in the future. The Bught is nearly as far in the opposite direction from the centre and I think it would be very difficult to relocate to there without building a complex that can be used by the community as thats who the parks belong to. I think, in time, there will be developments around the Longman that will enhance what we have but if we could rebuild there I'd like to see a stadium like THIS ONE 15,000 comfy seats, fully enclosed with training facilities, tennis courts and an hotel. And its only about twenty minute walk from the train station. Finally, neither the stadium nor the name nor the strip keep people away. It takes years, and some success, for any club to build a fanbase. We are slowly increasing numbers and will continue to do so as time goes on. Our averages are on a par with others by population and the current financial climate is not helping any clubs. The rebel excuse, the stadium location and any other excuse can be used to justify low numbers but the bottom line is people dont have the spare cash any more and many other things take priority on a saturday afternoon.
