1. Esson Tokely, Duff, Munro, Golabek Hayes, Odhiambo, Duncan, Ross Foran Rooney
2. Barring the scoreline I thought we played some good football yesterday, and of the three matches I've seen so far this season Nick Ross has been my MoM twice. There are a lot of positives to be taken from yesterday and a lot of learnings. Tokely is not a left back. Proctor was very poor at right back. Duff I reserve judgement on just yet. Our two wingers were excellent. Odi would have given a far better display had he had studs in his boots. One thing that annoyed me was that on a few occassions players looked to lay the ball on to someone else rather than take a chance and a shot themselves. We need to take the chances and not try walking the ball into the net. The Hearts keeper had a couple of excellent saves. I wonder how much different would the result have been had Tokely started at RB with Gollie on the left. Maybe also we should have played 4-4-2 in this one.
3. Myself and Mrs M will be utilising our Clydesdale Bank tickets this weekend, probably somewhere in the north stand.
4. Maybe a mass protest then walk away from ER next time. There may be only 4 or 5 hundred fans but that still equates to a lot of revenue and when you add to that the wasted food and the cost of unnecessary additional security a complete boycott would cost Hibs dearly. And if other teams followed suit?????? I wasn't there this time cos I'm offshore but I've just read many reasons why I wont be there next time. And thats a shame cos Hibs fans are among the best I've bantered with over the years.
5. There are some people who could find an arguement in an empty room.
6. Why???
7. Why? Because Tuffey wants a game? What has Esson done to deserve being dropped? He signed a new contract at the same time as Tuffey. Don't see why JT needs more games than our established number one. It's unlikely Esson will play every game, either through illness, injury or loss of form. Tuffey gets his chance then. That's the way football works. I agree with you. I agree 100%. But there needs to be competition. There needs to be a challenge for every place in the team for every game. IMVHO i didnt think it was a great move dropping Ryan Esson for the Peterhead match. What did he do to deserve to be dropped from the starting line up? I'm not in the position to know what goes on day in, day out in training, but if this is the signal which Jonny Tuffey is giving off then he must believe he is worthy of a start. It's healthy for the team and it must be pleasing for the gaffer to have players of considerable quality competing with one another for a place in the team. Traditionally it has been practise to use the No. 2 keeper for cup games. Prior to last season he would also have played regular reserve league matches. None of us know how the contracts are worded or who said what to who but I dont think there's any doubt that Tuffey was brought in as second choice keeper. If we go the way of previous then I expect him to play against Celtic. That should be a very good indicator of his qualities. Other that that I want to see our tried and tested keeper play every league game.
8. I would assume that the club feel that, because this initiative is about attracting more away fans to games, the home fans dont need to know about it. I am surprised they haven't advertised the fact that, looking at the article, all clubs are following this initiative to encourage more visitors.
9. Haven't got my specs but, from the stats on this site, I make it Played 15....Won 8....Drawn 2......Lost 5 in our previous league meetings which gives us a 66.666% chance of winning
10. Rhia, I think you should remove the first C in Terry's surname, otherwise your sig looks a bit silly
11. We are very short of youngsters as well, and need to compete in the U-21 league, so to expect them to also play for first team may be to much pressure.
12. ?3.96 for a 4 pack in Tescos. Erm yes, but I think you'll find beer is usually more expensive in a pub (I love Fairways, love it alot, but ?3.35 for a pint of Guinness? That is going too far.) Was in a pub in Marlow, outside London, last week and they charged ?3.95
13. Of all the factions that are converging on Easter Road one appears to be missing. Where's the fekkin Bridge End North Invinsibles???
14. Been here since about 2003 and have met many people in that time.
15. U-12's free for family section when applied for with adult season ticket
16. The full draw: RANGERS v DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC
KILMARNOCK v HIBERNIAN
ABERDEEN v RAITH ROVERS
FALKIRK v HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN
CELTIC v INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE
ROSS COUNTY v DUNDEE UNITED
ST. JOHNSTONE v QUEEN OF THE SOUTH
BRECHIN CITY v MOTHERWELL
17. An average of one point a game seen us relegated. I think we've done ok so far and can only build on what we've got.
18. Not sure they'll be teaming up for some time. Gary's just had ops in both hips and is likely out till the new year
19. A wonderful friendly lady who'll be sadly missed. Sincerest condolences to Iain and the boys from Aileen and I.
20. For Kingussie to have a chance they'll need to beat Newtonmore next week. Looking at the remaining fixtures, Oban v Fort....Kingussie v Fort.... then Fort v Newtonmore. Newtonmore v Kingussie....Inverarey v Newtonmore.... and Fort v Newtonmore I wouldn't discount Kingussie of even Kyles but I think Fort can do it this season and another Camanachd cup win.
21. Not so sure about that. I may be wrong but I've a feeling that the club agree a fee at the start of the contract and that any profit over and above that goes to Linley's. In other words, the club gets paid no matter how much is sold. I normally go for my pie before the game or during the first half. I went to the south stall at the west side on saturday. One lass took the pie out of the oven, one poured the coke and a third took the cash. The forth stared into space. How I wish I was their supervisor.
22. Gosh... I hope in that case that the Elgin fans are being civil enough to their new player assistant manager who has rather more formidable ICT credentials than even Ian Black has. I wonder how many of them still remember Johndo? That assistant manager is seen as a local by many Helginites cos he when to school there for a wee while.
23. Technically no but all would depend on whether there was available seats next to them or you. If the stands not full you may well find three seats together somewhere. You'll not really know till after k.o.
24. Well I was right in the front of the noise brigade and thats one I never heard. There was some chants directed at Thomson about his '27 fans' comment.
25. Maybe you can take over the Willie John mantle Charles. He's bound to be close to retirement.
