  1. And I demand to know how the hell Wikileaks got hold of the story in the first place.
  2. So the guy gets from Parkhead and boards a train at Queen St with the intention of heading to Inverness. It could well be that he made it for the 17.41 train but how many of our fans got that one. Either way he was assaulted and decided not to travel. I assume he took his father to hospital to get the broken hand checked. So, assuming he did my reckoning is that he wouldn't have gotten to Glasgow airport before 9 pm. The last flight from Glasgow to London on a saturday is at 19.35 which he'd be expected to board at 19:05. In my book, with my limited knowledge of the guy, he's an out and out liar.
  3. I dont think he needs to make any statement. Apart from anything else he is contracted to us for another 18 months.
  4. School children do get free entry at present albeit through the Trust. There is also the child free with a paying adult initiative. The club run soccer skills classes in the school holidays.
  5. All SFL games apart from Alloa v Peterhead have been cancelled. Thread closed as the subject is being discussed elsewhere
  6. I cannot for the life of me understand why that one match has not yet been decided on.
  7. Having seen some clips of the presentations I think England have to be favourites......................especially the surprise attack................Football United. I hope they do get it. I'll certainly arrange a few days hol near one of the venues.
  8. George, any chance you could put a blade on the front of that tank and come free my car.
  9. i never thought of him. that's a darn good shout, sir. Personally I doubt Robbo would be interested. Having just got back into the game after being out for a good three years I would think he'd prefer to stay where he is and get back into the swing rather than take a job like that one.
  10. Yes Charles, Glencoe has an open mountain and no snow whereas Glen Shee has snow and all roads are closed. We can please all of the people some of the time but we'll never please some of the people all of the time
  11. The Chick Youngs of the world are paid to spout p!sh. During a programme about ICT and Butcher the news filters through about McGhee so immediately the programme makers tout the person they are praising. Just a shame they didn't depress the clutch and engage the right gear. Why the hell would Terry Butcher choose a team whose last success was in 1983, and who's reputation and security is nearing rock bottom, for a team heading for european football???
  12. No doubt creeping in with me. Mark McGhee was never the problem at Aberdeen. He inherited a group of players. He thought he'd be able to replace them with better but then realised the money is no longer there. Aberdeen has two problems. One is the major shareholder and the other the Director of Football. Milne is struggling and his company could be the next building empire to fold. Miller is just an @rse and interferes too much. Terry would want stability and no interfering. That could never be gauranteed so he'll stay with us. Besides, he's already achieved the 'straight back up' challenge. Given a chance of European football or another 'straight back up' challenge..............what's the choice.
  13. Yes indeed, you have put your finger on a Catch 22 situation here which began to emerge last winter. When USH is used to make a pitch playable the game is often postponed anyway under circumstances imposed by forces outwith the club which was obliged to instal it. There's something of an irony here that clubs have been using the USH which "SPL Rules" insist they have, manage to get their pitches playable... then the SPL imposes a blanket ban on all its games irrespective of local circumstances. It wll be interesting to see if any SFL games go ahead... possibly in certain areas of Scotland without the assistance of USH? The purpose of USH was more to do with the number of games being called off because of frozen pitches and not because of snow. Having said that is it a criteria of any other top leagues in europe or is it an SPL thing? Charles, the way things are looking at the moment I'd be very surprised if any SFL games, other than those in the south west of the country, were to go ahead.
  14. Only bus routes being cleared but even then its no sooner done than more snow falls. We've had no snow clearing, no scaffy cart, no mail delivery and the local shops are running low cos no deliveries.
  15. This is the street I live in And this my ice cream cone There's 18" of snow on top of that bird bath. Dundee is even worse than Perth and the forecast for Tayside and Lothian is more snow and high winds. Not good travelling weather for teams or fans.
  16. Whilst your defence of Foran is admirable I see nothing mentioned on this thread that suggests anybody has been doubting him. The only reference to Foran is where Stan suggests Ross made the starting eleven because of Richies injury. Thats fair comment. The thread is intended to highlight the contribution of Nick Ross and his impending new contract and has nothing to to with anyone doubting Foran.
  17. Crawford Alan Date of Birth: 16 May 1967 Referee Since: April 1991 Admitted to SFA Senior List: 1997/98 Promoted to Category I: 2002/03 Gave Hibs a penalty in the 1-1 at Easter road in september.
  18. They were testing out the red knowing it would be a feature of the future
  19. I think Adam has the makings of a top class player. I even think he will make the Premiership and an ROI regular position. I do, however, feel that he has a lot more to learn yet and that another couple of seasons at this level will be good for the lad. He reads a game well. He positions himself well and he has a natural ability to find the net but much of that is because of the trust he has in those feeding him. Adam has good off the ball movement and finds himself in positions that he knows his wingers will cross to or his central midfielders will feed through to and that, for me, is where his success is coming from at the minute. The trust and understanding of those he has gelled with in the last couple of seasons is what makes him. He's a young lad with a few good years ahead of him but should stick around and learn to become the complete article with those he knows and enjoys working with.
  20. I think the game will go ahead as long as the roads remain open for travel from Dundee. Our Tommy isn't groundsman of the year for nothing At the moment, 10:15 am Wednesday, Tayside and Edinburgh are pretty much cut off from the outside world. Heavy snow is falling again in Perth. Trains from Glasgow are terminating at Dunblane. Early morning Glasgow Inverness train is stopped at Perth due to breakdown. A9 north of Perth ok at the moment but ploughs are struggling to keep A90 Dundee / Perth road open. M90 closed at Glenfarg and Forth Bridge. Forecast for next couple of days in this area is more of the same so DU could well struggle to get up north. I'm hoping for a sudden thaw cos I was planning making the trip on saturday.
  21. Perhaps moving into an area.
  22. Liverpool are after a striker
  23. 30 appearances and 2 goals
  24. Who played for Fort William and when?
