You are assuming I live in the REAL capital of the Highlands- but due to work commitments it is probably somewhat closer to Inverness than yourself . Incidentally, this 'Haddie' actually goes to the matches! ......and is not blinded by devotion. Geography not your strong point either? Officially Aberdeen is not in the Highlands.

Thompson made comment pre-season about numbers of away fans and his quote was along the lines that ICT would bring around 27. His father was a great guy. He's a pen!s. Oh f*ck you cant say that in Dundee!
-
Absolutely fantastic to see one of ours, so young, get a starting place. Cant see him keeping it when Foran returns but you never know. Nick if you read this keep the workrate up and you'll stay there.
-
Innes wont be there. I'd go with the same team that played today and those players needing a run can go to Wick.

SPL highlights are on Skysports 1 at 11:30 tonight

Dont make the mistake of suggesting the Fort's league win was a one off. Fort are now a force to be reckoned with. They have a more professional attitude to the game...........stay sober before throw-up.........and they have a number of gifted youngsters coming through their ranks. I'm not biased either for I was a Lochaber man myself.

Your allowed to use words like f**k, b*****d, w**k etc but dare to use the word pen!s and your deemed to be swearing and liable to expulsion. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't the former words defined as swear words whereas the latter is the correct anatomical name for the male reproductive organ? IHE....'Kenneth you're a f*****g pen!s' Steward......'I'm puting you out for swearing' IHE....'What swear word' Steward......emmmm....pen!s The other laugh had to be the one stopping MorayWanderer from taking photo's. Your not allowed to take pictures mate......why?.....its in the rules.....what rules?.......the ones on the back of the ticket...........here I should add that the tickets were 1.5" x 0.75". Guy then storms of muttering about breech of copyright and finding the rules.....never came back though. So all you guys singing away..........the pics MorayWanderer took of you are copyrighted to a dim Dundee steward......sorry.
-
No he didn't. The police let him watch the rest of the game among the home fans. Think they were actually laughing at the antics of the stewards.

That must be one of the best 90 minute performances I've seen in a long time. Cant fault one player. For me Eric was MoM though it was a hard choice. Hayes ran rings around their defence. The back four solid as a unit. McCanns goal was a cracker from about 35 yards out. And Russells......that was something that could only be appreciated if seen. Two penalty shouts denied....one a stonewaller. Young Nick put in another good display. The Proctor Munro partnership worked really well. Everyone played a blinder. Esson had very little to do today as we contained anything that came at us. DU had no answers for us and maybe they will blame tiredness but the fact is they just weren't good enough. Eric gets my MoM for his unselfishness. After skinning three or four and with only the keeper to beat he chose to cut back to Rooney, who took the goal very well, rather than attempt to beat the keeper. Very clinical penalty from Adam for the fourth goal. Play like that home and away and very few will beat us this season.

See you all in the Centenary I hope........Got to go to church in Freuchie before hand though.

Fact is people, and it may come as a surprise to some of you, if you pick up any newspaper or listen to any tv or radio programme then the bias will always be towards the OF. Thats the situation past, present and future. They dominate Scottish football, they dominate the Scottish media and no amount of moaning will ever change that.......unless you stop buying the papers and watching the programmes.

Exactly what I say PMF. Every team, outside the OF, has fans who follow them for the most part but, because of their religious upbringing, have a soft spot for one or the other of the OF And I probably wouldn't be far wrong if I stated that around 50% of our fans have stronger leanings towards them than us. Thats nothing to do with the age of our club. All the established clubs have the same. These are OF fans who'll never get an opportunity to visit Glasgow but who see their local club as a chance to get a glimpse of their real team. Its all over Scotland The OF fans also have problems distinguishing who's who among the opposition teams. Example from experience.........(some may know of the cage at Brockville) I'm at a game at Brockville with a Falkirk supporting mate. Game v Rangers. High fence seperates us from the Rangers fans. My mate is very vociferous and Falkirk chants are very forthcoming. From the other side of the cage a little voice pipes up............shut the f"ck up you fenian b@st@rd. The kid was about 8 and, I would think, brought up to think all opposition were followers of the fen. That, unfortunately, is the world we live in but, when it happens at our ground, we need to ignore it and rise above it. Dont make a big thing about it, and if all the other teams could do the same, it will go away. The more those asses see us debate the problem the more they'll continue. React and they counter. Ignore and they'll get bored.

Never noticed that. The list was cut and pasted from Scotprem.com so either they or ICT have made an error. IHE, this is the official list as registered at the SPL. I just thought I could raise some debate about the number 13. Also, discounting our last season, my question about number 4. Would I be right in saying our last No. 4 was the machine? I also wonder how numbers are allocated.

Have the fisherfolk taught you something new. As to the topic itself....whats the point in the question? Yes Hamilton are displaying a mediocre start to the season. Aberdeen have won two games but have also started very mediocre. Last week three penalties won cos the ref took action for shirt pulling. This week they scrape a win against an also mediocre St Johnstone. Hearts won today in a very mediocre fashion. Apart from the OF, and Rangers were highlights, I haven't seen anything outstanding so far. And I've seen more from us than most of the others so please tell me why we'd be whipping boys.
-
Every so often this topic comes up and every so often stones are cast. Are the casters of those stones so innocent? Did not fans of our club invade anothers pitch? Did not fans of this club see fit to attempt a rendition of 'The famine's over'? Did not fans of this club think it ok to display the national flag of another country for the purpose of antagonisation? When we are squeaky clean and holier than all else then we'll have the right to critisise. As for the selections of songs being debated I agree with Mantis..........try singing football songs.

I'm with Paisley on this. I dont think its ignorant, nor do I think it surprising, that none of the panel knew the answer. Apart from the fact that most of them are involved in other sports, and their knowledge is likely to be confined to the top Premiership teams and players, how many of us would know the answer to questions on the League of Ireland, Welsh league or any of those lower than the Championship. This has nothing to do with comparability. Its about media coverage. Limited TV and newspaper coverage of SPL and no lower league coverage outside Scotland. Pick up an English Sun and find a snippet about any team outside the OF. If the coverage doesn't happen then how can you expect the people to know the answers?

For anyone interested here is the squad number list for this season as registered with SPL: Inverness CT 1 Ryan Esson 2 David Proctor 3 Ross Tokely 5 Stuart Golabek 6 Lee Cox 7 Eric Odhiambo 8 Russell Duncan 9 Richie Foran (captain) 10 Adam Rooney 11 Jonny Hayes 12 Jon Tuffey 14 Grant Munro 15 Chris Innes 16 Roy McBain 17 Gavin Morrison 18 Gil Blumenshtein 19 Nick Ross 20 Shane Sutherland 22 Max Johnson 23 Danni Sanchez 24 Kenny Gillet 25 Kevin McCann 31 Murray Kinnaird 32 Robert Donaldson 33 Tom Smith 36 David Chambers 37 Martin Laing 38 Andrew MacAskill 40 Andrew Greig 41 Neil Erskine 42 Calum Dingwall 43 Adam MacLeod 44 Kyle Whyte 45 Sean Porter 45 Graeme Shinnie Interesting is no number 4. Wonder how they allocate numbers. Only four teams use number 13. Full details Here

You obviously have a greater knowledge of the game and SK's coaching abilities than I do. Fixture List always has shown Saturday fixtures but is up to the two clubs to agree when it takes place. I dont profess to have any greater knowledge than the next person, nor do I know much about SK's abilities as a coach. I do, however, put trust in those who hired him. If you have something against Scott or his appointment then so be it. I dont think there's call for the sarcastic retort to my opinion though.

I agree with CaleyStan. A twenty team league would consist of the current SPL plus Falkirk, Dundee, Pars, Queens, COunty, Partick, Raith and Morton. TV isn't interested in most of the SPL teams at the moment there is not a chance in the proverbial that a game betwen, say, Raith and St MIrren or us and Partick would be an attraction for anything. The point about ramshackle stadiums is also a good one - I can just picture the eye-rolling and head slapping from ESPN and Setanta execs everytime they showed one of the Old Firm play at Accies or Falkirk and were faced with a camera covered in rain, shots of grassy slopes and half empty stands. It doesn't look good - at least our three stand job looks OK on telly and has a nice view. I think that the SPL could just introduce a play-off between the 11th SPL side and the runners up inthe SFL. That would be a good step and would liven up the bottom of the table. Think you may find Falkirk has three stands and a bigger crowd base than us.

I'm sure Scott will do a very good job coaching the lads. I see the fixture list has all games on a saturday. In the past it was a midweek.
