Our last defeat away..........
...............in league matches was 28th November last year against Partick when they beat us 2-1. Next saturday the 30th is in effect the anniversary of that day. Can we keep our record intact at Ibrox? Having watched Rangers a few times on the box this season I believe that if we keep our defence tight and awake for 95 minutes we can do it. I think we can also score against them. We done it in our relegation season and they had a championship winning team then.

Best ever start?
You get the red dot from me for being the first to mention europe

SPL Expansion. Good for us?
I would go with your 18 team idea with two being relegated and the third bottom having to play off with 2nd, 3rd and 4th from league below. This gives the bottom teams something to fight for and retains interest till the end of season. The idea of play-offs for european places would also keep the interest levels up. As for OF games. Only the OF lose out. For the rest, as things stand at the moment, they have an OF team visit three times a season, unless they make top six. With playing each twice they will have an OF visit twice so they lose out on one game. As it costs those clubs more to host the OF, additional police and security etc, I wonder what the loss in revenue would amount to. I actually think that the losses would be offset by keeping the interest, and therefore the crowds, alive right to the end of season. Unfortunately any change will never go far enough. The few people who run the game in this country have too much to lose. Until there is only one ruling body and one committee making the rules the game will continue in decline.

The two Rooneys
Our Rooney is by far the more sensible one And he may be around for a while
-
Legends Team
He's actually from Dunfermline which is 26 miles closer to Gretna than Inverness. I also have a lot of time for him. He was with us when it counted and scored some vital goals but he still left an SPL team for the bright lights and excitement of the third division. His only reason was money.
-
Legends Team
I would expect to see Paul Ritchie, Liam Keogh (if he's no offshore) and Charlie Christie lining up. Wouldn't be surprised if Mark Brown done a stint between the sticks and maybe even a flash of brilliance from John Rankin. Blackies out with a broken wrist I believe. And, of course, no team would be right without Barry Wilson. Although Bingham could be another can we really call him a legend. One season with us then of to the big money at Gretna albeit he did score 13 goals in that season.

ICT or not ICT?
Inverness Caledonian Thistle Personally I dont see much wrong with it. It retains the history of the two teams. If its the length thats the problem then why not revert to the original name and drop the Inverness Inverness United Would hardly be a united club considering the divisions from the merger and the further divisions created by taking over other teams. Inverness Fc This I think is what the club should have been called from the first. Inverness City This team already exists and is registered with SFA Highland Fc This is the worst of all the choices. We already get supporters who travel from all corners of the highlands and from some of the islands. We also have many football teams in the highlands, including Ross County, so would you expect all their fans to turn to us because of a name. There is a lot of dedate about what constitutes Inverness when it comes to counting the population. Should the villages of Culloden, Ardersier, North Kessock, Lochend etc be counted as part of the city? Lets assume the population we are talking about is 60,000. This season so far our home gate average for league matches is 5,388 according to Scotprem I would think that was pretty much on a par with other clubs as far as %ages go. We are in an era where gate numbers are down at all clubs. Many people cannot afford the game any more. Ask people why they dont go and they'll cite price, they'll also cite performance, player wages, lack of opportunity for success and many other reasons.. Address all those problems and numbers will rise. This game we all love is no longer the saturday afternoon release from the pressures of scrimping and scraping during the week. It has lost its appeal for many people.

Russell Duncan
He only turned 30 last month. Plenty more years left in him yet

Russell Duncan
Been thinking about this and come up with one possible answer that lets Terry of the hook. Could it be that McCann's contract demands he start if he's fit?

Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
I'd be very surprised if Brian would even consider coming back. Contrary to what many would like to think Brian did not leave for money. He was released by ICT as part of the relegation changes.
-
Michael Fraser
Not sure why he'd say that considering Drumnadrochit is pretty far removed from the central belt.
-
Melville / Dundee / 25pt Deduction
I cant see us taking any of their players, even if they come for free. We have the squad we are budgeted for and to take in anyone else would mean going outwith that budget. Work outwith the budget and end up in the same boat as Dundee.

Roy McBain Testimonial Game
unfortunately i dont get home till the wednesday that week so will miss it.

Roy McBain Testimonial Game
Does it really matter who the opposition is? The whole idea of a testimonial is to allow as many fans as possible to show their appreciation for the efforts of the player over his period at the club. It also brings a wee nest egg to help the player out in the future.

ICT's Key Player?
How do you define a 'key' player? The key stone in an arch is the one stone that holds the rest together and if it was removed the arch would collapse. The keeper has the field of vision, if he's a good communicator, to be the key. He sees more and can advise others. For me Grant is the key to our defence, Russell to our midfield and Richie to our attack. We've managed to hold it all together without Richie (DU) and we've fell apart with him in the past. Everyone is key to the team but for hard work, enthusiasm and leadership on the field, and knowing I should pick someone, I also go for Richie F.

Our strongest starting 11?
I'm inclined towards the above but I'm not yet 100% convinced by Duff. I'd maybe opt for McCann instead
