Semi Final Venue
My one concern would the re-laying of the pitch. I assume this happened recently as they promised it in time for league cup. The turf is unlikely to have rooted fully so there's every chance it will lift in the LC final. It will then be used for Queens next home game and an international before the SC semi's. I'm no expert in turf management but is seems an awful short period to let it all settle down

Scottish Cup 2015 - Semi-finals
Personally I'd rather our game against DU was played on tuesday before cup game,if its to be played in that week, as a good pre-semi workout with enough time to address any problems.

Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers
Well I travelled up for this game and had a couple of pre-matchpintsin Innes. Not a soul there that I knew and only a half dozen in bar. Think they were preparing for a pool match. Anyway I thought we played some very good football but we were struggling against a very strong defence. Raith never looked like doing any more than defend. I think they had one corner and no real attack in the whole game. Ofere had a good game but wasn't allowed to really perform. My MoM was Ryan Christie. Yes he skyed a few chances be he also put a number of good crosses into the box and created a few half chances for others. All in all Raith came here looking to stop us scoring in the hope of a replay in Kircaldy and they done a very good job of that for most of the game. The semi will be a different kettle of fish regardless of who we're up against but I believe if we continue to play like can then a final is there for the taking.

Cricket
To your point about them being "as absolutely cr@p as that". I dont know a lot about cricket in Scotland so I'm not qualified to say whether they were or weren't cr@p. I do, however, think they have done well to have qualified for the competition the last five times. Winning the qualifiers on two of those occassions. I believe there's some thirty odd non Test nations who compete for four places so qualifying is an achievement in its own right. Scotland has only been a member of ICC since 1994 but were not eligible to enter competition till 1999. They do not have the advantage of playing Test cricket so are down there with the dysfunctional warzones of the world. Now to answer your last questions. I, as a paid up member of SNP, have no feelings one way or the other towards the successes or failures of a Scottish cricket team. I dont like the game, have no interest in it and couldn't care one way or the other who does or doesn't do well be they Scottish or Martian.

But there's more chance of you getting a lift in summer. More tourists on A9

Shifty Ciftci
Renegrade, I have to totally disagree. The wee teams are always a thorn in the side of the big so drawing DU could be a problem for us.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
Just for clarity spring tides have nothing to do with the season of year. Its a spring tide this weekend but they occur every month, on the full moon and new moon. Twice a year there are very high spring tides. These occur when the new or full moon is at its closest to the earth. I believe this will only occur twice this year and niether of those times is this weekend so the claim of secont highest tide of year is false. The highest tide of this weekend will actually occur at 01:14 tomorrow morning. There was also same hieght tides in january and february. Long and short is heavy rain over a short period caused the call off.

Summer football
I'd advocate summer football but the biggest problem is international competition every two years.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
...he says after assuring us all that today's game was not under threat! I also believed the BBC weather forecast.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
Considering SEPA has issued flood warnings for Ness Bridge to Friars Bridge, Harbour and South Kessock and Ness-Side then I hardly think the club or the groundsman can be blamed for heavy rains. As for summer football, yes the season would just be starting but the ground wouldn't have been played on for last couple of months so wouldn't be as compacted as it is now so drainage would be better.

Replacement Striker?
Who did you follow when you supported Caley ? Bjorg, Conners, Yvvonne Goolagong ? Are you still keen on tennis these days ? Someones showing there age here. Evonne Goolagong Cawley is even older than I am. Did you know she was a finalist in 18 grand slams, winning seven, but never won Wimbeldon singles.

Replacement Striker?
Not been heard of in a long while. I think he's seen the light though. I don't, however, believe he or Shaun would have been more than a twinkle when Caley last played. Eh! Mr Mahon.
