  1. Ian Angus MacNeil from Barra, who repairs the printing machine at West Highland Free Press is selling his 100 year old Massey Ferguson to Whispering Bob Harris and donating the proceeds to ICT.
  2. To be fair to George he didn't have Terry at his side to advise on tactical changes :023:
  3. We are 4th. Level on points and goal difference but we have three more goals for.
  4. We'll do a similar type t-shirt but with the word 'WINNERS' across it.
  5. Dont mean to defend either of them but my understanding is that it was fans heading late towards the stadium who were picked up on the radio singing. Were they to know there was a silence in progress?
  6. So, we're not half way through this season yet and the RC budget is already set for next season. Does that mean they know they wont win the league? Cos an SPL budget will be a great deal more than existing ones.
  7. I'm quite sure Darren is a frequent visitor to these forum's.
  8. Even six days later the banters not lost. This is what was missing in SPhell and what once made this forum fun to be a part of. Many of the young posters on here today dont know how it should be.
  9. Caleyboy, I can understand your frustration in this but, sadly, the board took the decision to withdray our U-19 squad from any league committments due to the added financial burden. They did, however, retain a few of the players and they did enter a team in the Youth Cup. Team had to be supplemented with some much younger players. That's the state of things at the club. We dont have the magic 5000+ fanbase to sustain what we'd like so we have to be selective in our spending. I didn't mean to be so down on the guys who competed. They done well but weren't able to hold on to the finish. Keep your head's up kids and perform to your best. Success will come.
  10. Care to expand?
  11. If we beat them a week on saturday will we still have to play them in the final a week on sunday.
  12. The last team to win it got saved from relegation. The winners the year before were St Johnstone.
  13. If you turn up a week on saturday you may find McDairmid rather empty.
  14. STATEMENT FROM CLACHNACUDDIN FOOTBALL CLUB The Directors of Clachnacuddin Football Club with great regret announce this evening that the club will enter administration tomorrow morning (October 27th). This step is a result of requirements placed upon us by Highland Council in relation to the repayment of our debt to the Inverness Common Good Fund. As a result of the manner in which this issue has unfolded, we have also resolved to write to the First Minister requesting an investigation into Highland Council?s handling of the matter of this debt. The extremely serious step of seeking administration follows a letter received last week from Mr David Haas of Highland Council demanding that our monthly repayment of ?400 must increase by 850% to ?3800 per month. The letter also requests yet another business plan to be submitted by the November 2nd. This deadline was then brought forward by his colleague William Gilfillan to October 23rd, making an already difficult task impossible. It was this e-mail which was the final straw and led us to seek insolvency advice. This latest move by the Council is particularly disappointing because an outline plan is in place to sell the Clachnacuddin Social Club to William Gray Construction for a sum that would ensure every creditor, not only Highland Council, is paid and that the club could continue. This proposal was included in our business plan along with detailed profit & loss forecasts & cash flow projections for the next 2 years. All these documents were submitted to Mr Haas on Friday August 28th and the same documents where also submitted to the club?s two main creditors, Carlsberg and The Royal Bank of Scotland. They were also discussed with the Her Majesty?s Revenue and Customs. All the creditors were completely behind the proposal with the sole exception of the Highland Council who have hence forced the club into administration. The irony here is that by taking this action the Council, as an unsecured creditor, will now almost certainly receive none of the money due to them and have also caused a number of small creditors to lose out. Clach have never at any point abdicated responsibility for what is due to Highland Council. Recent monthly payments, none of which has been missed, have seen the overall debt to the council steadily drop. Clach have also been active in promoting an all weather pitch at Grant Street Park, an idea that has now been taken up by our local councillor, and a ground share with Inverness City FC who still have no regular home pitch for part of their season. Apart from the danger now of Clachnacuddin FC going out of business and Highland League football therefore disappearing from Inverness, there is also a threat to our Youth teams. These teams make a massive contribution to the local community which includes one of the most economically deprived areas in Scotland. We currently make provision for over 200 young players who train and play with these teams. We therefore can only wonder how it can be for the ?Common Good? of Inverness if the club fold completely at such social cost and with no more of the outstanding debt paid back to Highland Council as a direct result of the club being forced out of existence. It is this particular aspect that leads us to write to the First Minister asking him to investigate the matter. Our Chairman David Dowling met with him recently and he has always been strong in supporting an organisation which promote exactly the values that our coaches instil into our youth players. Surely the City of Inverness needs the sort of facility we provide. Despite being forced to take this step which places the club in serious danger of going out of business mid season we can, however, confirm that our Lily Lotto will not be affected by administration since it is a separate company, independent for these purposes of Clachnacuddin FC. We very much regret having been forced to take a step which could have such drastic consequences for so many people but, given the circumstances described above, this is now the only one left to us. Issued by the Directors of Clachnacuddin Football Club. 26.10.09.

Got humped out of the Scottish Youth Cup by Airdrie. Report
  16. I've never believed Dundee will win this league. If not us then I think Queens will take it.
  17. I see she's been suspended indefinitely.
  18. Esson McBain, Tokely, Munro, Golabek ........Cox, Duncan Hayes,.........................Imrie Foran, Odhiambo
  19. Didn't we also bring in Don Cowie that summer?
  20. This thread is supposed to be about Clach not Strathspey. If your doing nothing else tonight get down and do your bit to help save the Lillies.
  21. There's nobody at the minute who could meet all the above criteria. Maybe after two or three years coaching experience Paul Sheerin. Five years Darren Dods. Barry needs experience. Within the current squad I could see Tokely making a go of it but again he'd need to gain experience elsewhere first.
  22. Please dinnae shout............ma hied's thumpin.
  23. Doubt it as the stewarding was ICT's wasnt it? The police were rubbish there as one guy was taken out by the coppers and 5 minutes later he was back??? Dont understand that one at all? Did you ever stop and think that maybe they just wanted a chat? Get a life kid. Considering he was one of the ones that threw something on the pitch? Get a life old man Sorry kid but if thats the case then dont you think you should do the honorable thing? And this old man is young at heart. That a copper with the badge number 626 pulled a guy to the side and had a quiet word with him after the steward told him to eject him for throwing something only to let him back in? What else can you do if the police turn a blind eye? Grow up. It's a football match and even police like football.

Jeez, i thought i was the only one to complain about the pitch. My lawn has a shorter cut than that one. Essons feet sunk in that grass and i forgot how small a pitch it really is? The state of it was IMO the reason why Imrie and Hayes couldnt put their pace down. Oh come on all 22 players have to deal with the same conditions. Imrie just ain't that good. we were beat by better players that's all. next season we just need to make sure we bring in a management team that knows what they are doing and players that are good enough. if teams like, County, QOS, Raith and Partick can find good players why can't we. the players we have at the moment are not good enough, 2nd division at best bar a few of them. They pay more.
