  1. Heavy snow in Tayside this morning. Forecast for tomorrow is drizzle and temps above freezing so I think it should be well clear by saturday morning.
  2. According to Highland News Blackie will be available for this one and will serve his suspension for Hibs game.
  3. Tickets will be ?15, concessions ?10 for all stands
  4. Strange things happen in the cup but I envisage Aberdeen, Celtic, Us and Rangers in the semi's.

  8. QF's to be played 7th and 8th March. I'll be in sunny Spain then. Hope we dont draw away to Rangers, we play them on Wed 4th.
  9. I dont think style comes into it. Nor do I think its fair to make comparisons with anyone else this early. Butcher seems to stick to one formation. He doesn't believe in rotation for the sake of it. He has the players knowing their objectives and he has teamwork on the park. Question is. Is that because of Butcher or is it just players wanting to impress the new guy?
  10. hey c'mon, even i got a cap under berti vogts! Yeh but that was when he accidently sat on your head.
  11. And there was me thinking they all had a strong desire to play for the mighty ICT

Just to expand the discussion a little further. Would the crowd have been more had County been playing away?

Dalneigh it appears to me that you are picking arguement for arguements sake. For a period yesterday there were no trains, planes or buses in and out of Aberdeen. The roads were deemed too dangerous, hence the reason the game in Aberdeen was called off. The roads authorities were not confident of keeping roads open. The police were advising people not to travel. All the warnings were for icy conditions, especially in the evening. It is far from being a 'lame excuse' to choose not to travel in such dangerous conditions. Throughout this thread you have targeted those who travel many miles to support their team but have failed to ask why those living within walking distance of the stadium failed to turn up so is it any wonder we become a little irate?

There was a lot of them in my local before the game . The weather putting people off travelling is a very lame excuse . Cant speak for everyone else but I couldn't take the risk of not getting back down the road.
  18. Black is suspended

For me, and a few others, the weather over the Slochd was too unpredictable. A fair number couldn't get through from the east cos the trains were off between Aberdeen and Inverness. I also know of folk from the Aviemore / Grantown area who didn't risk the drive as well as people from North of Sneck. I believe the snow had a big part to play in the crowd numbers.
  20. I'd like a QF draw against Celtic. I think they've lost form and there's a lot of dressing room unrest at the minute so they're there for the taking. I'm supposed to be going to a wedding on 30th but I'll easy drop thet one if we make it. So looking forward to a big big party.
  21. Well remember yon fella we all wanted to lead us...........he reckoned it was a stonewaller.

  23. Butcher on Scotland duty this week so Malpas and Clelland taking the training. is it me or does clelland seem to have a bigger role to play now with tb? Eck will still have the role of youth development but will be drafted into the first team role when Terry's away on Scotland duty.
