  1. If we get relegated will he stay? Every chance he'd walk.
  2. He never has been a div 1 player
  3. CD whatever you do in life dont trust your intuition. As for Butcher I think he'll have done his homework and will already have a very good idea what he has to work with.

How many times have you seen him play?
  5. Why oh why do we have so much negativity. Give the guy a chance I say. He done ok at Motherwell. A team, at the time that was in dire straits and shedding players right left and centre. Butcher is a motivator. We have a decent squad of players. The two together could work very well. Lets just draw a line and get behind them all. As for keeping us in the dark. What a load of codswallop. Do we expect the club to phone everyone and tell them whats going on. There will be a press conference arranged, probably at 2 pm today, where everything will be revealed. There is still a lot of speculation in the news reports so I'm happy to wait for the official report.

Its very important to any club that they can bring players through their systems. It is also very important that the mental and physical abilities are assessed properly before throwing them into the deep end. Some really shine at the lower levels but put them into the big game too early and they break down. Ian is a player who I believe will shine at the top level but there are some, like Rory, who just dont have it. Some of it may be down to the coaching but mostly its to do with the individuals mental state. With all teams for every two or three who come through the youth system there are two or three hundred who dont. The secret is to recognise which ones to concentrate.
  7. How do you sack the people who have the power to sack?
  8. Robbo was not sacked by Hearts. Romanov came in. Robbo refused to be a puppet. he was offered a coaching role but chose to leave.
  9. He didn't actually run the bar. Shut it down sadly, couldn't even find a buyer. I'd guess that he paid a 6 figure sum for it, although he should have comfortably recouped that over the years when it was trading profitably. Reading the article again I get the impression they didn't even try to sell it. Lease was up so they decided not to renew.
  10. Or worst. Thanks Alex. Still have fingers crossed for Robbo, even if the board did attempt to poison his lunch. AND he's going to buy the Heathmount as well Robbo closes his bar Not a chance. Fiona won't sell.
  11. And the Daily ranger says
  12. That P&J article is nothing more than little bits from each of te sunday papers cut and pasted. lazy journalism at its best.
  13. Lets be a bit more fair to Steven Pressley here. Money may be a persuader but I dont think it was on this occassion. Steven lives a few miles from Falkirk. He has a family. He stated in the press that he considered us but when the Falkirk offer came it was easier to choose them because he would have found it hard to be away from the family all week and he wasn't going to uproot them for what could turn out to be just a few months. How many of you family guys would like to work away all week bar two nights? As for Inverness, everyone knows its 7 miles south of Reykjavik
  14. Put yourself in his position. Dropped last week, dropped this week. Ian Black has been treated like dirt over the last few weeks. If it was me I'd probably show the exact same contempt.
  15. Not Glasgow Joe. Lanark. Some 28 miles south of Glasgow. Would you say someone from Forres was an Invernessian?
  16. All I can say is "bring on the feckin Tims"

I heard his very words as well Marty. Just wonder how much the club had to pay for a days hire of a Lear jet. Assuming the average interview takes 3 hrs. The club admit to two down south. The herald reports Robbo was interviewed in Inverness. On this site it was reported that Grassa was in Glasgow, Norwich, Manchester, Aberdeen and so on and so on. Believe nothing till you see it with your own eyes I say. Marty, there aren't many managers with the record of Kenny Dalglish and many who wish they'd achieved so much. Money is not everything. Eleven of the best players could be bought and put together. Doesn't mean they'd win anything. Getting those eleven to gel together and play for each other is the key to success. Man City have shelled out a fortune on players. Where are they? Fighting off relegation.
  18. Yngwie, Setanta Sports is in partnership with Virgin Media and NTL Ireland (a Virgin company). Virgin owns 50% of the Setanta Sports news channel. Hence the reason Virgin customers get Setanta channels for free. Virgin also invests in BSkyB. My understanding is that, after a fall out between Virgin Media and BSkyB over pricing, and Virgin taking Sky channels of their network, agreement was reached whereby Virgin would invest in Sky.
  19. Back to basics for this one. Esson Tokely Magic Munro Hastings Cowie Morais Duncan Imrie Wood Rooney
  20. This is 100% correct, except it is Sutton and Knox. From a member of the Heathmount Mafia in exile. Which is nice. i highly doubt we could afford boths wages togehter Would that not depend on what they expect? Besides, for a lot of coaches and managers, its not all about the money. Its the challenge.
  21. My comment was meant to be a suggestion for reason Setanta showed it in Scotland. Not a fact. Rumour has it that that Irish subscription channel is actually backed by Virgin. I've also heard that Virgin have a big chunk of BSkyB
  22. Although Knox had 4 years as No.1 at Forfar and 3 at Dundee I'm not sure that he really relishes the No.1 position, bit like Parky in that respect, so I could see him coming as assistant to someone like Sutton. He is an excellent coach and has been involved at the highest levels at the time. Aberdeen in early 80's and Man U, Rangers and Everton. He has a great deal of experience and knowledge and would be an asset to our club. Having a say in winning 1 Cup Winners cup, 1 Super cup, 5 Scottish cups, 3 league cups 1 FA cup and 6 Scottish league titles isn't a bad record.
  23. Good idea.......lets make his family suffer
  24. Because Setanta has the control on Scottish viewings. Hence the reason Man U wasd on ITV down south but Setanta 2 in Scotland
  25. Knox was assistant to Paul Ince
