  1. Do you really think we got a decent amount for him. Bear in mind we're not just talking about losing a manager. We're talking a player, one of the better ones in the league, performing well. Scoring goals. And with over two years still on his contract. I dont think we got anywhere near his value.

Well we weren't that excellent at the start of last season - 6 losses on the trot, 1 manager forced out (supposedly because he couldn't even go for a meal with his family in Inverness without being put upon). The backbone of the team? Surely not. Hart played once or twice, Bayne well he worked hard but used to be slagged off on here pretty regularly. People post this stuff about 'x doing well', I looked up a week or so ago and Hart didn't even start for County. Wyness, is he really SPL standard now, 1 goal in a year. McGeady's just been fined/banned for 2 weeks for challenging WGS. Like it or not it's the managers job to manage. If the manager doesn't seem "arrogant" he's weak and vice versa. What a load of codswallop. Do you just enjoy picking holes in anything anyone posts of can you back up your statements. Hart has had 15 starts and scored 3 for County this season. Bayne 16 starts and 4 goals. Wyness will come good again. And for your info Hart had 115 starts and 49 sub appearances for us and scored 15 goals. He wasn't given a chance after Brewster came back. And your analogy on managers went out when they stopped puting children up chimneys.
  3. We should be playing two up front at home regardless of what Jimmy says. Its our pitch. We should be dominating every inch of it. Using the width. Running at defences and making it the fortress it used to be renowned for.
  4. One thing to bear in mind when criticising the Courier is that the company is a supporter of ICTFC. The provide services to the club in exchange for advertising space.

I am niether pro nor anti Brewster but I am supportive of the team that is my main interest in life outside my family and work. Lets look back. from the bedinning of last season to january we were excellent. I think we lost five out of eighteen games. Since january we have been abysmal. Whats happened since then. Brewster has ripped the backbone out of the team. Rankin, Bayne, Hart, Wyness, all out the door. Wyness is now coming onto form at Midden, the other three doing very well at their respective clubs. Others will go this january. Why? Because they have not been afraid to speak their minds but have been hit by a wall of arrogance? Yes we can all say that Brewster is learning but to learn he needs to be a leader, a team builder, someone who others will willingly follow. Someone who will take time to sit and listen, who will coach and cajole. Someone who, not only commands but, returns respect. Someone who can make judgement and issue justifiable criticism and at the same time accept criticism and advice. Someone who can be both arrogant and humble. All the attributes of effective leadership. As each day goes by he is showing that he is not getting any closer to adopting any of the aforesaid attributes.
  6. Although I agree with what your saying Tinman the question that keeps coming into my mind is: Why are the players not performing? We have all witnessed them in the past play there hearts out, even in the face of defeat, and put on a performance to be proud of. Now they appear to go out in every game with a 'cant be bothered' attitude. At least thats how I'm seeing it and there has to be some behind the scenes reason. Those guys are puting their future careers at risk by not performing well so they must feel there's something bad enough wrong to act in this way.
  7. Bayne for Pars---Played 20 Scored 4 Bayne was sold to Pars for a nominal fee at the start of the season according to their website. He didn't go for any other reason than he was booted out along with Hart, Wyness and Rankin. All players who speak their minds I'll bet.

  10. What a waste of time. It doesn't matter 2 flying whatevers how many and who they are! What I would like to know is WHO does WHAT because we have major football problems at this club and they will only get worse unless the BOARD (not the DOF) gets the finger out and does something positive. If it needs money, the BOARD needs to find it - even if it means the DIRECTORS dipping into their own pockets - if they don't or can't, then resign and get those in who can. This has happened before and I can see it happen again GET YOUR FINGERS OUT AND SAVE OUR CLUB The directors are in place to ensure the company is being run efficiently and within the law. It is not in their remit to continually supply funds. Maybe, just maybe it needs you and I to dip our hands in our pockets.
  11. Aye DEE he could bye your club and still have change for a decent lifestyle........think he is heading to Q o South. Barry didn't particularly enjoy the commute from Inverness to Perth. I cant see him travelling to Dumfries. And his family are well settled so dont think he'll uproot for a few months.
  12. The six were not chosen by Lex Gould. They were chosen, for their knowledge and experience of the game, by the SPL committee. Their remit to look at ways of improving and promoting the game in Scotland. They will report back to the SPL committee who will then decide what to do with the findings. Nothing sinister in that.
  13. I was never anti - Brewster. Indeed I was one of those trying to get people to put the past behind and try and support the man. I said he should be given until Christmas this season to show what he can do. to be allowed to build his own team. As it seems to have turned out he has had too long. Its not working. There is a relationship problem between Brewster, Thomson and the players. I've seen things and heard comments away from the game that have convinced me that things are not right behind the scenes. The team have no passion or desire any more. For me this is not about results, its about what I've witnessed from the games I've attended this season. The ethos that was "a team, punching above their weight, players playing for each other, fiesty performances, fearful of nobody, performances that shocked no matter the result, shock results". Its not there any more. Theres no enthusiasm. No drive. No guidance. NO LEADERSHIP Wake up guy's. Look and see whats before your eyes. The Brewster / Thomson partnership has failed.

I've seen those signs as well Harry. I take it you're referring to the controlled passing of Black and Vigurs, and the attacking energy of Imrie and Cowie. Given that we have those strengths, isn't strange that on Saturday we gave a toothless, passionless, just plain flat performance in a crucial game - the kind of game that would've brought out fighting spirit in almost any ICT team of the past - regardless of their other footballing qualities. I think this is the problem, lack of belief, lack of confidence or as you put it, lack of fighting spirit. That performance told me that the team don't believe in Brewster anymore. Considering our position in the league is shared by another 3 teams with Hamilton below us, I can only assume that 33% of the teams in the league, don't therefore believe in their manager anymore. In fact, Brewster's constant chopping and changing of players and formations suggests that he doesn't even believe in himself anymore. The formation played on Saturday, players on their own playing side, Procter at right back, Rooney on, two up front - were all shouted for on here and when he does this you call it chopping and changing! What do they say, damned if you do and damned if you don't! Stomping feet and demanding change is what football fans do in situations like this Harry. The one difference being that even though the other teams may get beat they go out and try to win. They have passion and fire in there Belly. Much like our team used to do. Our team goes out without any fight or desire. That tells me someone is to blame.
  15. I doubt very much if Barry will even be on the bench maybe we should just play the U-19 team....probably a better chance of winning with Danny on the touchline
  16. :thumb04: (Did you win the lottery?) fraid not angel but I'm still trying
  17. That wasn't a quote from pie and bovril it was an observation I made. 6 Invernessians arrested after the game for fighting according to todays courier. 6 young lads arrested, typical heavy handedness from the Inverness Dibble,Stenny fans were singing songs and trying to wind up the wine shed mob,the young lot walked past them at half time and the Stenny fans were noising them up,looks like the Inverness boys went for it after the game and showed the soft southern B*****ds that we arent gormless teuchters afterall, all 6 have been hit with banning orders by the local constabulary :018: :thumb04: Inverness Police get a grip, seen a lot worse at the start of the nineties good on the Clach young uns about time there was a mob doing Inverness proud again, shame they dont go to ICT maybe they would have a go at all the Huns and tims that sit in the stands without a word said when we play them Stand up for your City!!! Every chance those same guys sit with the tims and huns

A good piece of advice there. Scarves over faces cica 1980's anyone? Yes why not hide behind scarves and wear hoodies like little granny muggers.......well mature and productive. Fail to spot the TiC smiley Alex? Is that the best put down you can manage? Tell you what you just sit back and rustle your papers while the rest of us at least try to get those in charge to notice our discontent. Not puting down mate. Just pointing it out because there are a lot of youngsters who would take you up on the idea and that sort of thing does nothing to help a successful campaign.

Alex i work at sea, it's kind of hard to commit to anything for 100% of the time in my job, or should I just sit back and do **** all like everyone else? I would hardly call working to support my family hiding. Like you I work offshore. The whole point of organising is to lead. Choose a game when your not away and muster support. Dont say lets do something then say count me out. Dont get me wrong. I agree something needs to be done but it has to be done in such a way as not to ostrasize those doing it. It has to be mature and adult. My personal thought would be something along the lines of choosing one match and staying outside the stadium during it. Follow the letter route suggested. Put pressure of the Trust to represent thier membership. Anything to let the board see the fans staying away and hitting the club in the pocket. Congregate outside the stadium and dont go in is one option.

? have to go along with IHE in this one. What gets me though is the way some people are stirring up things but they cant be there to carry them out. Light the fire then run like feck......c'mon guys if your going to suggest action then at least be prepared to commit to it and not stir then hide.
  23. Will forum users please stop hurtling personal abuse. Wynesslegend is as entitled to his opinions, on this site, as anyone else and to be honest I agree with him. I could dig up a dozen recent threads with exactly the same theme and it does get boring.
  24. Wyness, there was a time not so long ago when I'd get slagged on here for trying to be positive and pro Brew. Think I'm waking up now cos I smell coffee.
  25. Exactly. I think Brewster has a point in terms of the fans frustrations feeding through to the players on the pitch. I actually feel sorry for him. Seems he's stuck in the middle. What's with the club? They run it like they're a massive Premiership club. They really need to re-engage the fans and get a new approach. IF Brewster had the resources to re-sign Dods, Dargo etc do you think he would not have? We need real fans in charge of the club and bring back the 'togetherness' feeling which was far more evident a few seasons ago. It's easy for us to sit in front of computers and feed negative threads through here but we need a united front and face up to ALL of the problems the club has. SMEE sorry but I don't agree. I don't envy Brewster and the job he's doing. Limited resources, no depth in the squad and yet HE'S to blame? Tokely being out today was probably a big miss. Is Brewster to blame for this? Wrong! If we were run like a Premiership club we'd be in debt up to the eyeballs.
