Celtic -V- ICT : matchday thread
I need to see Maloneys goal again but from where I was he looked well offside. Like the rest of us the linesman was watching the ref expecting him to blow for a free kick. All in all an excellent performance from us but no finishing power. People seemed to be frightened to move into the celtic box. Boruc was having one of his jittery days but we didnt put pressure on him. Cowie was never offside. In fact he took about three touches before the flag went up.

Scottish Cup 4th round draw
The draw for the fourth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup will be made at Hampden on Monday 1 December at 2.30pm Clach at home to Stennie in third round. County at home to Dumbarton. If either of those were to win which one would we like to be drawn against?

Qualified success for Brewster
Yes well done Craig. To pass the coach has to prove that he or she is competent in the following areas: (my view on the required evidence in red) How to plan and evaluate your team's strategic season programme.........aim for anything better than eleventh How to succeed in one key fixture during the season.............last weeks win against Killie got us back up the table a bit Improving the performance of one key player....................He's got Blackie channeling his energy into playing football Improving your own interpersonal skills...................shouting more from the technical area than he used to Building upon your existing coaching skills with specific emphasis..................Wood heading towards being a Brewster

Is Barry not also working towards it?

Contracts (Merged)
Is it Grassa's fault? Is there a problem at the club whereby there may not be funds to support new contracts? Is Flybe still in a position to continue their support? The reduction in support certainly isnt helping fund the club. Even matchday hospitality is down, hence the cut price offers for all bar the bigger games. Credit crunch may just be a big stumbling block in all of this. Walter Smith has been told he must cut the wage bill. He can do that by offloading two or three high earners and bringing in someone like Cowie. We cant make reductions. Can we afford increases? My thinking in this comes from the imminent demise of household names like MFI, B&Q, Woolworths etc. If they are struggling to survive then what chance a football team. Also, for the first time ever Celtic see the need to advertise half season tickets. A club that a few years ago had a waiting list for full season ones.

Barrowman's first-team plea
Ps. Two players at a time from County never seems to work at ICT. We took John. John done good. We took Don. John done bad. Don done bad. John went to Hibs. Don done good. We took you. Don done bad. You done bad. Don goes to Rangers in January. You'll do good.

Two things: 1. I dont think there's a pass or fail system. I'm sure its all about attending coaching sessions and doing a presentation. 2. Uefa is the standard for coaches. Bit like SQA is the standard for SVQ's in the workplace. In other words he@s proved he has knowledge and experience to coach. Doesn't mean he's good at it.

You are my Imrie... my Dougie Imrie
Dougie has commitment, skill and ability. What he lacks is knowledge but that will come. For someone who hasn't served a proper apprenticeship in the game he is doing very well and can only get better.

Caption Competition
Should I not be a bit closer before you dive?
-
Should Boruc have been sent off?
I've seen the controversal incident six or seven times now and IMO he should have walked. If that was an outfield player the decision would have been different.
-
Why not at home?
We used to have a big advantage at home. We have the widest pitch in the league and we used it. That doesn't happen now and never has under CB. We need to use the wings and the width to our advantage but we dont.

Dear Craig
Johndo, I know what the whole problem is! Time you went round to the shipbuilders and kicked ass. HMS Sneck has been in drydock too long.

IF ICT folded........
If it wasn't for OAP's, kids and wifey's there wouldn't be a professional football team in Inverness.

Masterplan for Europe
next ICT goal is the winner........ and the opposition captain picks up the ball and runs of shouting...."its oor ba' an' we're nae playin' nae mair"

Mon the Aalborg
The better the Glasgow Twins do in europe the more chance of us getting an extra Uefa spot so I'll support either of them in a European competition. Unless they're up against Athletico Madrid that is.

Offical Fans Christmas Party
Is the credit crunch really that bad and I'm just not seeing it? Is it apathy towards the club? People have complained in the past that functions organised by the club or the Trust were out of reach to the ordinary fan. Here's an event, that people put a lot of time and hard work into organising, being cancelled due to lack of interest. I, myself wasn't able to go anyway but I just cant believe the lack of interest. FROM OFFICIAL SITE Hadn't noticed another thread started so have merged them.

I am led to believe that our young players, those not on first team contracts, are paid the same as every other club pays. I dont have a clue how much but think its a little more than minimum wage requirements which is ?3.53 p/h for under 18's, ?4.77 18-21. Are our youngsters classed as apprentices?
