Experienced forward required in January
As soon as Richie stood up to Brewster and questioned his training methods it was bye bye Richie. And as soon as Bayne seen what lay ahead it was "family reasons".

The Drog's B*ll*x
So its quite acceptable for someone in the crowd to chuck coins and maybe take a young players eye out.

Section G singing
Swings and roundabouts really. Players get fired up and perform when theres noise. Noise doesn't start till players perform. In the words of that great chant.....we only sing when we're winning.

Bazza Wilson
I believe he could easily last a full ninety.

Said it on another thread and I say again here.....Craig Brewster get your boots on.

SPL think tank
I would imagine that at a meeting of the SPL committee, which is made up of all Chairmen, it was decided to form a committee of managers to address whatever the issues are and those were the ones chosen who would be best suited to the task. Nothing sinister in that from what I can see.

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
Eh? How can netting a 6 figure sum for a player who was all but paid for during his time here by additional investment put in by Savage possibly be the reason we had no money to bring anyone in? Did we have the money in time? Can we spend it bearing in mind there's a possible court case pending? I think part of our problems could be easily rectified....................Brewster get your boots on

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
CaleyD, I dont blame Brewster for the striker fiasco. I blame Savage. Because of the Niculae thing there just wasn't money to bring anyone in. Barrowman hasn't shown anything yet but I have heard that he wasn't Brewsters choice but was pursued by the DoF. Rooney is young but has class and will show it in time. Maybe we should look at Bryan Prunty in january. What really amazes me every week when I read this thread is how different the various viewpoints can be from people at the same game. Tokely is MoM. Tokely's a waste of space. I wasn't there so cant comment but I hear from the various reports that the boys played well but couldn't finish. Indeed Skysports had Hastings as MoM. The one thing for certain is our defence must have been doing something right. But then Hearts closed up after they scored.

Bazza Wilson
What game were you watching???? Are you Barry in disguise
-
ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
From what I heard on the radio we played well. Just couldn't finish. Cant blame Brew for that. He tried all his strikers and still they couldn't do it. May have been better chances if Black had played the full game and / or is Cowie was available but injuries happen.

Brewster is the man for the job
Without seeming to defend Brewster the same Dennis hasn't exactly set the heather on fire at the Midden

Bazza Wilson
We all know Barry still has something to offer this club. Whether he can last a full game nobody knows but he himself believes he can and we know that when he comes on he can change a game. So why the dithering about an extension Mr Brew? FROM the COURIER

The Drog's B*ll*x
C'mon guys. Have a heart. Some dude in the crowd drops a coin and it bounces onto the pitch. Didier Drogba, being the honest guy the he is, picks up the dudes coin and gives it back to him. What, pray tell me, is so wrong in that?

Brewster is the man for the job
Sorry but its common knowledge that Brewster handled Wyness situation in the proper way. Negotiations done. Contract on the table ready to sign. Not signing till I get more money. Not got more money to give. Contract withdrawn. Blame the agent not the manager. Rankin gets too big for his boots. Asks to leave. Is allowed to leave. End of. Ian Black has a disagreement with his boss now and again. Doesn't mean a jot. Most people have disagreements with their boss. Whether we like it or not Brewster is the manager and should be supported while he's doing the job. Yes I may call for his head in a moment of sheer frustration after a bad defeat but I can also accept that these things are part and parcel of the game. I always said lets see where we are mid season before judging him and so far I see us competing at the same level as seven or eight other teams around us. Our fans want Brew out. Hibs fans want Mixu out. Dons Jimmy. Bairns Yogi and so it goes on. Why? Because too many have the Rangers / Celtic mentallity. If we dont win every game we're sh!te and if we go four points adrift our season is over. Get a grip people, its a game of two teams, both of whom want to win. How can Brewster be Mann4thejob? Dons the Mann4thejob

Brewster is the man for the job
I totally agree with the three points in the post. Those three facts are true. What I disagree with is that those three credentials alone make Craig the right man for the job. Tactical adeptness and people management skills are far more important than footballing skill or articulation. There are plenty examples in the world of football managers, very successful in the job, who were no more than average players in their day.
