  1. Does anyone know where to find results for this competition? The SFA site is useless. Our boys played on friday night, there were six games on sunday and County play Hibs at the dungheap tonight.
  2. Flybe are a good airline. They believe in progress. Hence the reason for part of the deal being incentive bonuses. So I hope the board take note and start to get the fingure out and make ICT look like a progressive club.

In the shadow of all the furore over Brewsters performances we seem to have been ignorant of the fact the U-19's won through to the last eight of the Scottish Youth Cup. Well done lads.
  4. Steve, I'm not saying Marius was to blame. What I'm saying is he was used as an excuse for unrest. I think nobody was willing to stand out and blame the man who came back.
  5. Some things tell me I may have a little idea who Gillian is. Anyway. Being of a cynical nature I also believe Black will now no longer be willing to stay. And there may also be one or two others who will follow out the door. No doubt family reasons will play some part in the excuses but cast minds back to when Brew came back. Reports of split in the dressing room. Niculae being blamed. I believe there were two halves within our team. One half being players who spoke out or who supported those who spoke out. Not sure about Rankin but I believe Wyness, Dargo, Black, Wilson and possibly Hastings and McBain were on the one side. I believe Black will be offered a contract he cannot accept and will go. Others will follow. And if the board cant see whats happening then they dont deserve to have the responsibility for a football team in Inverness.

No way on this earth would Robbo work alongside Brewster.
  7. Yes there is a calendar. Price ?2.50. January features Bazza and Don. Will they both be here by the end of it?

    18. The board at ICT are really happy with my performance which is why they are offering me a new contract. My mate Grazza's on the board you know. 19. The board of ICT think its much better in Div 1. thats why they want me to stay.
  9. I for one am really saddened by this decision. Not only was Barry a great servant to the club he is an absolute gentleman. Someone who knows the worth of the fans of the club. I wouldn't be surprised if he's offered a coaching role very soon. Aberdeen springs to mind. Jimmy Nichol thinks very highly of Barry. I'm sure he'll want to stay in the area though so player / coach at Elgin could be an option. Lets hope he doesn't get an offer from Partick. Anyway Barry, I know you read this forum so Good Luck wherever you end up and we'll look forward to you coming back to ICT. Maybe even in the role of the guy who doesn't want you. Anyone want to bet that Ian Black doesn't stay now.
  10. In the past we've played the same formation and players week in week out with great effect. All those players went out and done a job. They played for each other and no thought was given to who the opposition were. We feared no-one. Other teams feared coming to TCS. Now we're trying to be too tactical. We're setting our team out to try and fool the opposition. We're trying to match player against player. It aint working so maybe its time to get back to basics. Play the one formation. Play people in their natural position. Play the same team of players each week, unless injury or suspension dictates otherwise, and let them gel as the formidable squad they once were.
  11. Dods wont come back and why was Dargo not in the St Mirren squad on saturday.............cos he's injured again
  12. I wont. Never had one cos of where i work but it wont stop me getting to as many games as I can. For me its not all about football, though a good game makes a difference, its about the travel, hooking up with some people for a drink and a chat, the friendships made, the aftermatch drink and digestion of the days game etc. I will still support this team to the same level as always. A96, I appreciate your sentiments and beliefs but sadly we are now in an era where football is going to be played on days and times other than saturday at 3pm. I dont think Rupert Murdoch and Sky TV have anything to do with Setanta, in fact I think Mr Branson may have more of a say in that company, but they pay this league a lot of money, some of which comes to us, to televise matches. They are not, however allowed to show live at 3pm on a saturday so have to choose other times and dates. The tv company call the shots, not the club.
  13. Home support provides funding. The bottom line is we cant afford quality players.
  14. We will stay up....................and next season we'll be competing with St Johnston for worst atmosphere.
  15. We're three points of a top six place. We're still in the league I appreciate where your coming from Alex....but your making a few assumptions of your own in the above.
  16. Was the first match not at Livingston? CD, never mind the bands how about a karaoke machine. Yourself and Rob could partake. Maybe even persuade Uncle Albert to join in.
  17. No matter how you calculate it there will be a cut in price of a few pence. Just wait till the first cold meserable wet day standing in the queue along with thirty of forty other like minded people, all with their twenty note in hand and the wee lassie runs out of change.
  18. There are a few people on here making assumptions about a lot of things. The DoF is at fault. Brewster is at fault. The board is at fault. Grassa gets a salary. Players not offered enough. etc. etc. I dont wish to seem to defend the club on this because I dont know any of the facts. Only press stories and suppositions. I dont know what those players have been offered nor do I know if Grassa gets a salary. The one thing I do know is the players turned down the chance to negotiate new contracts. The question I would like answered is why? It may well be that none of them want to stay at the club. It may be money. It may be length of contract. In the case of Mike it may be the security of the number 1 jersey. It may be a million and one other reasons. I reserve judgement on those concerned until I know the facts. Some of the fans of this club demand too much at times. No other club publicises its business until it has something concrete to tell the world. Why should this one be any different. Few on here are even trying to persuade the players they should stay and play for this club. The arguement is more about increasing their value to let them go. None of the three actually cost us so even if they go on a free we aren't losing out. Those players are seen as being key to the future of the club but if they dont want to stay, or if they think they can do better elsewhere, then no amount of persuasion or fan pressure is going to make them sign extensions I want them all to stay and play football for this club but if they go then so be it. Others will come along and take their place. We thought we'd die when Bobby Mann left. We thought we'd die when Dods left. When Wyness and Dargo left. Rankin. Sheerin. And others. We're still competing.
  19. Not the cheapest thing to do.
  20. Getting past, arguably, the best defensive pairing in the league will always be a problem but, I believe, if we play against most of the other teams in the league with the same style and committment as we did on saturday we will score goals.
  21. Yep, a certain Mr McAllister is probably wishing he could climb into that grave today.
  22. Big game against the league leaders and champions on saturday. A narrow one goal defeat and yet the site is void of any constructive criticism. Had we playe crap and got humped by five or six there'd be hundreds of posts calling for the heads of any and everyone. On saturday we played very well. Apart from a little blip that led to the goal our defense held strong and really stopped any Celtic attack. The midfield was excellent to a man and Gary Wood ran his socks of and gave the best defensive pairing in Scotland quite a headache. The tactics were right and the changes up front made with plenty of time to be effective. I would say that maybe Barry should have got a bit longer to be effective but who would he replace. Everyone gave 100% and kept shape throughout. Just a pity we couldn't score. So well done to the team and management on providing some good entertainment on a very cold day.
  23. One of the problems getting pipe bands is they are generally booked well in advance or they're in competition at weekends.
  24. Having seen the replay I concede Maloney was onside. So too was Cowie. Imrie should have gotten the foul prior to the goal though.
