Time to drop Fraser
A keeper makes a mistake and he's hung drawn and quartered. Outfielders make mistakes al the time but nobody calls for them to be dropped. I dont think Ike should be dropped. He misjudged the ball for their first goal but could not be blamed for the second one. Where were the central defenders.........away for a wee tea break? Our whole defensive play was a bit dodgy today.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
First Killie goal.....Ike thought he was shepherding the ball past the post, unfortunately it struck the post and came back to their player. First ICT goal......most comical own goal I've seen in a while Second Killie goal.........our central defenders went on a wee break at that point Second ICT goal........Ross County must be thanked for the coaching of their set ball players. Cowies free kick today, as has been Rankins in the past, was a blinder and the only real goal in the match. All in all it was a pretty mediocre game. We played well in patches but seemed to lack any sort of enthusiasm to win.

Celtic facing punishment?
Seems to me there's an awful lot of double standards among ICT fans Only two r three weeks ago there was a fair few expressing disgust because one of our own was chucked out for running onto the pitch. The celtic fan gave himself up to police today. Has been charged and banned for life from parkhead. IMO that goalkeeper should also be punished

questions for the supporters trust to ask the board
A section of the north stand was set aside prior to last season and about half a dozen took up the offer.

The X factor
I think the answer is quite simple really. Brew is a lot more ruthless than CC ever was so players know they'll be dropped quicker than a hot tattie if they dont perform.

Bigotry songs question

Personally I can't be ersed with either of them. Ps... Lest anyone get the wrong idea, Alex isn't passionate about me, he's passionate about the history of the British Isles.... :014:

Bigotry songs question
The Irish, as in those who reside in Eire have not fought since the Easter risings of 1926 whence they won independance for all bar the north east corner of their island. The nationalists in Ulster have fought to have that part of the island of Ireland re-instated with Eire. But that is an arguement that should have no place in scottish football. TinCanFan, I dont think they held auditions for king of scots back then. The true history is that there were seven earls of Scotland, Each being a King of his own lands and clans. Those clans were forever fighting against each other. The last King of Scots, for none could be king of the land, prior to Bruce, was Alexander who fell of a cliff at Kinghorn in Fife. Alexander had no heir so Edward Longshanks of England decided this was an opportunity for him to impose his will on the Scots by inserting Balliol to the throne. People objected to this and along came Bruce and the Wallace. Each one was king for a time. Incidentally, dont believe the Braveheart story. They use a lot of poetic licence. For example Wallace was captured and sent to the rack after the battle of Falkirk, eight years before Bannockburn. To all, my comments on this subject are not intended to support one side or the other of the great religious divide but are supported by my passion for the history of these islands we live in.

CIS Cup
All who were around in 78 will remember the tune. The words have changed a little though: Brewsters Caley Army We're on the march wi' Brewster's Army, We're gonna make old Hampden Roar, And we'll really shake them up, When we win the Co-op Cup, Cos Caley are the only one's who'll score. We're representing Highland, And we're gauny do or die, County cannae dae it, 'Cos they didnae qualify! We're on the march wi' Brewster's Army, We're gonna make old Hampden Roar, And we'll really shake them up, When we win the Co-op Cup, Cos Caley are the only one's who'll score.

Bigotry songs question
sorry but to me what you are saying there made me think you were saying it's ok for celtic to sing traditional. sorry if i misunderstood what you meant. but anyway, why you so keen to defend celtic? trust me they do sing about martin luther. also most "traditional songs" have referances to the IRA. these people killed thousands of peoples lives protestant and catholic. you could say that it's nearly as bad as saying u want to be up to your knees in fenian blood. And of course the British army, the UDA, UVF, UFF never killed anybody. Between 1969 and 2002 there were 3524 killings: Republican Paramilitary 2056, Loyalist Paramilitary 1020, British Security 362, Irish Security 5, not known 81 The one difference between the Irish and the Scots is that the Irish continued to fight for what they believed in after 1690. The Scots fought till 1707 then gave it all up. Incidentally, the Battle of the Boyne was fought between King Williams forces and the Stewart Jacobites, who had fled to Ireland from Scotland. Both sides managed to secure the services of Irishmen to bolster their armies. It was not a battle against the Irish as many people think.

Why do we....
Those games are our local derby. I dont think we've ever sold out any games against Aberdeen though. Highest in last two seasons was 7368. Other two games 5744 and 6809.

Bigotry songs question
Cant say I've ever heard the line caley4life quotes but if you study the words of the songs from both sides, and I have done as part of a project, you will see that the green songs are very much pro-Irish, with no mention of religion, whereas the blue songs are very anti-catholic.

Bigotry songs question
I dont think singing about being "up to our knees in fenian blood" is really appropriate in this day and age. Nor is it appropriate to chant "f*ck the pope and the vatican" between verses of other songs. Those words are not only winding up Celtic fans but all catholics.

New Manager
One of Brew's attributes, and what will likely prove his success, is that he is very well liked and admired by all the players. They see what he has achieved by hard work and know that if they follow his lead they can achieve the same if not more.
