What do you think of the new strip?
Unlike the money grabbing OF our strips run for two seasons so the away top will change next season. Hope supplies of this one are available before the derby game on 22 july. My wifes grandson is a mascot that day and he'd look silly walking out with the team in a different top.

Does Size Really Matter ?
We also compete in the SPL reserve league. Looking at most proffessional teams around Britian 26 is generally the aim of the lower budget teams and I would say that is about right. We have been fairly consistent in our progress through cup tournies which means playing twice a week at times so additional comer is a must. For some of last season we had four people out through injury at one time. If we went with the 18 min that Kingsmills suggests and the same injury level were to occur we wouldnt have a matchday squad.

Bye Bye Hartson!
I believe Blackburn may also be jumping into the bidding war.

Bye Bye Hartson!
Whether you like him or loath him I think he has had the **** dropped on him from a great hieght. The man wasn't even aware that he was transfer listed let alone nearing a deal with any other club.

Season Tickets - the answer...
Aberdeen prices are £270 Richard Donald wings and lower front. £365 for RD centre, £365 for main £270 South and £230 Merkland (family section) making average adult price £300 We are £330 main, £280 north £200 family making average adult price £270. Our pricing is actually better value than most other SPL teams. Celtic Rangers Hearts Hibs DU and Killie are all dearer than us. I do agree, however, that our child / concession 'pay at the gate' prices are ridiculess.

Bring Back Brewster
This club will progress no matter who the manager. Nobody has ever come in and made sweeping changes. They've all brought a little bit of something but its the players who have responded. Pele brought an attack minded set up. Robbo added a defense to that. Brew brought a fitness aspect and got the squad bonding more by having them together for lunch each training day. He also gave them some Greek ideas on diet. CC will bring his style into it but he wont undo what has been built up thus far. I spoke to Barry a while back and he reckoned that if he hadn't had the proverbial kick in the pants about his weight and fitness he would likely be looking at ending his playing career pretty soon. As it was he took on board what Brew had said to him, he shed a few pounds and now works hard on staying fit. He reckons theres no reason why he cant now go on for a couple or three more years. Managers come and managers go as do players but its ICT who make success and will continue to do so.

Dennis Wyness
I think both Dennis and Dargs showed more promise when Blackie was feeding them. When he got injured, Dennis, for one, didnt seem to get fed the right ball. I'm sure, now that his future is secure, he will want to win everything.

Club Captain
Golly is, and has been, club captain for past two seasons. Presumably his contract reflects this position. I would be very surprised if the position was taken from him unless he was being shown the door and I doubt that to be the case. Dods was stand in on the field but Golly was always the Club captain. I think if a stand in was required then Barry would be my choice. He is the one player who is very vocal on the park, he encourages his team mates and shows excellent leadership potential.

Intertoto back on??
Curious to know where Tichy's info comes from cos Uefa site hasn't been update to reflect this.

How to increase the home crowds?
I dont know if our kids prices are any different to other clubs so cant comment there. However, though I agree with promoting the club to the young ones, a balance has to be struck that will increase revenue. Its ok saying let the kids in at knock down prices or even free but every seat a child occupies is a potential adult fee. What we need is a balance that will increase both adult and child support. One of the things that would help is to make the game more entertaining. Pre match and half time activities, perhaps a pipe band, competitions etc. Make the game a worthwhile family day out.

parkie staying
I never for one minute thought that Parkie would go to Livi. He done well working with Robbo at ICT and he went with Robbo to Hearts. He didn't go there through any loyalty to Robbo, though that may have helped his decision. He went because, like Robbo, he had success as a player with Hearts and they gave him his first coaching opportunities. Parky is happy where he is now and knows what side his bread is buttered on.

"BLACK IS THE NEW TARGET FOR UNITED" - P & J
Why Oh Why are so many folk getting their knickers in a twist about press speculation and unfounded remarks from opposition fans. Look at the opening sentence in that article. "Dundee United are set to launch another raid on Caley Thistle". ANOTHER raid??? When was the first one? Brew has indicated he admires two or three of our players and that they would be top of his WISH list. Grazza and our Board have said there's a high price on those players. The grocer is not willing to pay six figure sums. End of story. If Charlie Christie was to publicly state that he admires Ronaldo would that mean we were persuing him? All our players are under a legally binding contract so unless ALL parties concerned agree to terminate the contracts nobody will be going anywhere. But even if we do sell one or two players remember this: ICT are a team. We've lost individuals in the past but we still amassed the fourth highest points tally in the SPL. And remember the doubters who had us relegated because Brew had left us. Come on guys and girls, be positive.

Is the Highland divide getting wider?
Even if the SFL clubs voted in favour of a 'Championship' league they must give two years notice of their intended breakaway and if the league is formed, what happens with promotion. Where do the winners go. The SPL have an agreement with the SFL to allow one team up. Would they change that in favour of the new breakaway league. Those teams who did breakaway to form this new league could find themselves excluded from the rest. As for RC, I wouldn't discount their ability to succeed though I think St Johnston will win the Div1 championship. Gretna are in for a shock. They haven't, so far, had to endure a hard contest over a whole season. They walked Div2 but there was no competition. Div1 will be a totally new ball game for them.

New Stand
Its very unlikely that anything will be built on the road side. The gas pipeline is a problem. What I would do is develop the wings of the main stand. Build round in an arch at both ends to meet with the north and south stands. This would probably add another 1000 covered seats

who would you like to see win the world cup
As an honest hard working Scot I have to give my 110% support to SCOTLAND. I've even got my red white and black SCOTLAND t-shirt on order. Notice the T & T colours Red and Black with some white. Not an ounce of blue in sight.

Supporters Trust - Response to Alex MacLeod
Our Trust is quite unique in that it came to being without a specific agenda. Other trusts were formed as a result of mismanagement or some other reason that jeopordised the existance of the club concerned. Ours came about, in good times, as a means of uniting the members club with the fans and of giving the fans a greater say in the running of ICT. The trust is new for everyone concerned and given time it will evolve into something useful. CaleyD, amongst others, has a lot of good ideas and very valid points and, I for one, would give my wholehearted support to a lot of his points, as I would to anyone else. The trust board has to be transparent and has to listen to all the gripes and moans as well as listen to the good ideas and suggestions without prejudice and it has to be seen to be acting in the interests of the trust shareholders and the greater community. It is very difficult to develop a successful structure from a blank sheet of paper, without a lot of erasing and alteration, but it can be done provided everyone acts in an open, honest, calm manner and every avenue of communication is used to its fullest potential. Lets all put aside the reason for this thread being opened and use it in a positive manner. And lets produce a trust that people want to be members of.
