  1. Let him go, let him go! His hearts not in this club! I disagree on both counts. First, where do we find a replacement in a hurry that will guarantee to give what Dods has. Second, he is a professional footballer who knows he has to always play to his best, regardless of whats going on around him, if he is to attract the type of interest he seeks. Darrens main problems are not that he doesn't want to play for ICT, its more his personal life that seems to be dictating what he must do. I am confident that the machine will still honour his position and give his all whilst he is still playing for this club. Finally, the club are always expected to honour their part of any contract and so should the players. If we agree to one transfer request does that then open the floodgates to others who may think they can just walk out whenever they wish. I'm also sure that if the right value is offered for any player they will be sold on. So if the money is right Dods will go.
  2. I would say, and I hope Graham Bayne reads this, if you get the starting position over the other candidates then make it stick. If the lad is good enough he'll be a regular, if he's not then so be it. I certainly wouldn't be critisising him before he's had a chance to show whether or not he has what it takes this season.
  3. Whats happened to the tayside blues. Sh!t start to the season and now out of CIS. Will the Dee4life investment bring in any success.
  4. In the past Setanta's times have been 12.30 and 3.0 on a saturday and 2.0 on a sunday.
  5. What a humping they gave yon Hamilton mob
  6. Radio Scotland reporter said Langfield dropped the ball then collapsed in a dase to disguise his mistake.
  7. Johndo, please explain the 'letters' 2 and 3 part of your foresight. When I went to Roy Bridge primary they taught me that those squiggles were actually NUMBERS :016:
  8. Maybe after todays performance at Greyskull the grocer will decide he doesn't need anyone else.
  9. Radio commentarors describe it exactly as RiG does. Foster should have been off. Barry was Radio Scotland MoM for the workrate he put in and his efforts to get the team going. Well done Barry. Maybe here is where the captaincy lies.
  10. Caleylad, if your getting the design your displaying in your avatar then I suggest you seek my permission. That is my design your displaying there.
  11. I can agree with jailender regards Black but I cant understand how Dargo is omitted from A team in favour of a crocked Sean Malloney
  12. Take it you've not seen Wyness's performance over the last couple of games.
  13. Not sure if eh can be sympathetic towards the blues now after that shocker Alan :015:
  14. Seems to me some folk open their mouths and let their tonsils rattle without thinking nor with the full story to hand. Dods is looking to his future. He's 31, has a woman and a flat in Edinburgh. He doesnt like the fact that he's away from her for all but a couple of nights a week. Perhaps her job is such that she can't relocate. He has made the decision not to extend his contract with us but has also made a gentlemans agreement with the club that he will give us his all for the remainder of his contract. Charlie wants him for the full season and feels that, unless an exceptional offer comes about, Dods is more value to the club for the season than what we would get by letting him go. Its Darren's perogative to choose where he wants to settle when his playing days are over and as fans it is our duty to support his decision and not lambast him for his choice.
  15. If I were puting the team together for this one I'd go: Brown Dods Golly Munro Rossco Wilson Hart Black Hastings Dargo McAllister Flak jacket and helmet have been donned in readiness :015:
  16. This is the first chance I've had to read through this thread and I wasn't at the game so cant offer first hand critism. I did, however, see the Setanta highlights and would agree that both St M's goals came from defensive mistakes that should not have been made. So Golly had a bad game? From what I have seen and read the whole team had a bad game. Dont know how true it was but the Sunday Mail reported us as having a large number of shots on target but only one goal whereas St M had two shots on target and two goals. If that is the case then we need to look at more than just Golly's performance. Supporters of this club very rarely issue praise for good performance on these threads. They always try and find the bad and make comment to that end. If the team is having a bad day then that can affect an individual more. Perhaps Golly's performance was as a result of his frustrations with the rest of his team. If the team, as a whole, were playing great football and scoring goals then the mistakes would go un-noticed but if its a bad team performance we look for scapegoats. Personally, I would like to see Golly bounce back from this one and show us his true capabilities. As for the team, I know they will bounce back.
  17. Thanks for that mate. The club has informed me that the lads details will be included in the Hibs programme.
  18. Wasn't able to get to game so could someone please do me a favour. Could you look through the St Mirren programme and tell me if there is any mention of Kyle Cutler having been match mascot for County game. Thanks in advance.
  19. That may be so but dont think FIFA or UEFA would recognise them. Besides, the Island games are strictly Scottish are they not?
  20. May I assure that person that Gretna is wholly in Scotland and is in the region of Dumfries and Galloway on the north side of the Solway Firth. Secondly, I have travelled extensively around the Western Isles, indeed my family originate from Scalpay, Harris, and I have never heard of the national team from those isles. Nor, indeed, have I heard of a national team of Orkney. Kilveanlegend, your stats are interesting but get your geography right.
  21. At this moment in time the whole saga is mud slinging, rumour and press speculation. So until hard facts come to light I say lets forget Brew and his Arabs and concentrate on the league. As for 'bigger team', what makes a bigger team? Seems to me the bigger the debt you have the bigger the team you are. And my final thought on this subject is that if our players do leave for DU they will be playing Div 1 next season and waving to the Blues as they take their place.
  22. TJE makes fair comment, as usual, but is it not the case that ICT had permission to talk to Rankin and had tabled an offer before any press involvement. Also, I doubt very much whether CC or GB went to Dingwall every week for impromptu meetings with County players. Can the same be said of Brewster and his frequent visits to an Inverness restuarant/bar that some players and officials use from time to time.
  23. For info to all those supporters bus people who liked to stop for a refreshment in Perth enroute to and from away games. Spinky's bar has now closed down. The wifey who had it couldn't make it pay.
  24. And prices are up this year. £27 for main stand.
  25. Agree Scotty, Brew's nearly as much a regular in the Heathmount as Grazza is.
