  1. At the moment we are successful and have an excellent blend of youth and experience. We have 11 players with 10 or less caps, 4 with between 10 and 20 and 9 with over 20. It has taken a lot of building to get to this point and I dont think we shoud upset that. We have a squad that is playing for each other and the jersey and they are getting results. There will become vacancies in defence as guys like Weir, Alexander and Dailly drop out and maybe even Hartley in midfied will start to feel the pace and decide to retire but I think between now and World cup its going to take someone of exceptional quality to break into the current squad. As for Steven Naismith, I'm sure he'll get another crack but he'll need to fight his way to first team regular at Rangers first.
  2. A point of interest for all you knowledgable sorts. What happens if the match is tied i.e 7-7, one converted try a piece. Do they play extra time and if its still all square what next?
  3. The one who I think will make it to regular national first squad is Dale Gillespie. Just 18, he's a decent sized lad. He's catching eyes in national U-19 and will likely come through the U-21 stage. He has ambition, and hopefully drive, to play first team for ICT and his country and I reckon that within 5-7 years he'll have achieved both. Whether he's still at ICT by the end of that time, who know's.
  4. Up until last thursday, when he went for hernia op, Gary Wood has been having exactly the same effect and admiration at Montrose. Gary belongs to that area and his dad is a youth coach with Montrose but I dont see the lad throwing up the chance to play SPL. Just as I dont see Zander wanting to stay at Elgin. Both players are out on loan to help their development and are very much a part of the future plans of Brewster and ICT. If my memory is still working I'm sure Zander was one of the youths promoted by Brew before he left.
  5. Shyte or not...............credit where its due. England have made it to the final with the same sort of passion and determination that will see our footballers get to Euro 08. Can they beat the Springboks though..........thats the real question. Can I bear another four years of hearing them mentioned during any and every other sporting event in the land.
  6. P&J TODAY Of the most recent crop of players to come through ICT who will be the next to wear the national first team shirt?
  7. They may not have lost to us but they've only won once in seven games.

  9. For anyone who is still confused I believe the initials PP translate to Pied Piper. Could we please try and avoid straying of the topic subject.
  10. Scotland have competed at eight World Cup Finals, 1954, 1958, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990 & 1998 and two European Championship finals, 1992 & 1996, but have never progressed beyond the first round of the tournament stage.
  11. Its got a nice beach though. Also the Brahann Seer is reputed to have been born there.
  12. I'd have put Fort William near the top.
  13. Our desire to stand up makes no point to the stewards. They are there to carry out the instructions of the match commander who follows the rules of the SPL Continuous lobbying of the SPL is the only way the point will get across.
  14. Agree with the last post and sincerely hope the club read this article........especially that last paragraph.
  15. Sign of wealth.........the five button waistband and the fairisle designed tanktop.
  16. Shari Lewis and Lambsie
  17. Response removed on advise
  18. the charge is 'dangerous driving by not having full and proper control of a motor vehicle' and it resulted in ?30 fine for drinking from a 2 ltr bottle of coke. Recently a trucker was caught eating spaghetti while driving in Wales. He was banned for a year, got eight weeks in jail and ordered to resit his test.
  19. France dont have it easy. Their last two games against Lithuania then away to Ukraine. And I doubt if either of those will lie down for the french. I believe we have the passion and pride to go through as group winners.
  20. So its ok to break the law so long as its in a manual :023:
  21. Watt went over his ankle in reserve game against hearts. He's expected to be fit for Aberdire. We see to have gone from having no defense to having too many now. Watt wasn't avaiable against Killie yet Caff was dropped.
  22. The whole of Scotland is sitting on the edge of their seats watching the clock count down and whats FW doing..........trying to get the last word in on this subject :blah01:
  23. Sadly an online poll in Highland News is 67% in favour of sacking Richie.
  24. In fairness to Kingsmill Birdog I dont think this thread is an appropriate place to be publicising mind altering substances be they legal or not.
  25. CD, The Jaggies were founded in 1885 and Caley a year later. Although the merger happened in May 94 I think it was 95 before the two teams were legally wound down so, in effect, Thistle woud have been 110years old.
