  1. STFU replied to Hearach's topic in Caley Thistle
I did hesitate on contributing as it feels like it is letting the club avoid their responsibilities. However he needs his op and I'll just deduct the amount donated from anything I might give the club in future.
  2. I am more than happy to hear different narratives/perspectives and made no suggestion to the contrary. I simply offered my perspective on you constantly making excuses for things that others find inexcusable.
  3. You may not be trying to justify the club's actions but you are trying to excuse them in the same way you have done constantly every time they have screwed up.
  4. That's fine unless you operate in an environment which relies heavily on reputation, goodwill and common decency. Treat others how you wish to be treated yourself and all that.
  5. If fans were to put anything in just now it would be spun to look like a show of confidence in those still at the club and nothing could be further from the truth.
  6. There's nothing in any of this that surprises me other than the scale of it.
  7. There's a good article covering it in the P&J https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/highland-league/6373182/spfl-rule-creates-another-barrier-to-highland-league-clubs/ I can only think that the Turkeys voting weren't fully up to speed on club licensing requirements and were more interested in self preservation by making it harder for Highland and Lowland league teams to come up. This is covered in the article.
  8. Having spent a chunk of the evening reading up on it the rule requiring all 42 teams to have a bronze license was voted in unanimously by all SPFL clubs last July. If clubs felt the rule or penalty was draconian they had the opportunity to vote it down or have it ammended. That also means this is not a penalty being applied to anyone after the fact and all clubs had a year to get their house in order. The need to be insolvency event free for three years to obtain a bronze (or above) license is not a new thing. I also see within the licensing criteria that the club will have had to submit audited accounts last month in order to maintain a bronze (or above) license.
  9. Yeah it's terrible that football clubs should be forced to operate in a financially responsible manner 🙄
  10. If my understanding is right the SFA licensing says no club who has had an insolvency event in the past 3 years can hold a bronze license. The SPFL changed the rules last year to say that all clubs must have a bronze license as minimum to play in the leagues from the 2024/25 season. Buckie Thistle were refused promotion because they didn't have one. The above rule was not in place when Rangers went through their issues.
  11. Club licensing. I don't know the first thing about it but seems that if we go into admin we can't get the license we need to play in the SPFL. Lot of chatter about it on Pie and Bovril.
  12. My boss just pointed out that the club have said they would keep training at Fort George but not that all training would be at Fort George. Might they be considering a hybrid setup and would this explain why nobody has told Kelty the deal is off?
  13. @old caley girl did you disagree or just not like being corrected?
  14. I think the next 'book' would be more suited to comic format.
  15. The club will need £300k+ immediately to pay creditors. They'll also need sufficient funds to cover operational costs/shortfalls and a high likelihood that we could be due Kelty. There's then any money directors have put in that they may want back in order to relinquish control. We've been led to believe Ross Morrison has put in £1.5 million but have no idea how much others have put in. That's at least £2 million to wipe the slate clean but it's likely be a good deal more than that. With the club facing the very real possibility of administration and no guarantee anyone will bail it out from that then adding 1500 creditors to the list by selling season tickets they may not be able to honour would be irresponsible.
  16. Club Secretary and Company Secretary are separate roles. The former traditionally deals with all processes and paperwork to do with football related matters.
  17. As with any tick or leech you can't just rip it off. It needs to be extracted properly so you don't do more damage in the process.
  18. HOE just seen delivering an industrial shredder to the stadium.
  19. It's not the fumbling of paperwork I'd be worried about.
  20. Povlsen only acquired the NC500 brand in 2019. It was the North Highland Initiative (established by King Charles) that came up with and implemented the original idea. As I understand it Povlsen is trying to undo and lessen some of the negative impacts. Although that would seem like trying to put the Genie back in the bottle. A discussion for another topic.
  21. Fans at the meeting did not WANT administration. What was being said was that the risk of administration was preferable to having the soul ripped out of the club by moving operations to Kelty.
  22. Not a penny from me till Gardiner is gone.
  23. Of all the names on that directors list it's Panos Thomas that worries me most given his history with Watford and Laurence Bassini.
  24. I hope his CEO contract is as watertight as all the ones he was doing for the club.
