  1. Paul Chalk at the P&J is normally pretty good and not one for printing sensationalist BS. With the CEO having said player contract talks will start after the league was decided, then there's the added awkwardness of needing players for the final, but perhaps telling them they won't be offered new contracts. Also, if no decision has been made on/by the manager on staying, then we could be in a situation where the man building the squad for next season won't be here. I'm sure they'll all make sure they fet their free holiday in the sun, though. Just as well we're flush with cash Regardless of which way you look at it, it's 'tin-pot'.
  2. Was in P&J the other day that contracts expire end of May and players will need to sign extensions. Not sure how that will work with loans.
  3. Was it not in the club statement that they would have ticket info the next day? Using the AGM as a measuring stick, I'd say we'll get details around mid-July!
  4. You're clutching at straws now
  5. Robbo 2017/18 and 2018/19.... following 2 seasons were cut short, so can't be included. Dodds also got more points last season, so technically he has us going backwards
  6. Not sure where it can be looked up, but he also has a GK/Coaching qualification that only a handful of people in the UK have.
  7. What's best for the club, though? Getting in a new manager now and giving him extra time to get a squad together for next season (we have 15 players out of contract/loan), or starting the process less than 6 weeks before the first games are due next season and the majority of players having found themselves new clubs?
  8. Also one of the most qualified coaches in the UK. We're lucky to have him at the club.
  9. Ask Ridgers, Samuels and Doran what happens when players dare stand up to/don't do what's asked for by Dodds
  10. If the players don't know each other well enough, and can't lift their game for a Scottish Cup final then having Dodds tickle their balls isn't going to make a bit of difference. It's not as if he's a tactical mastermind who we'd expect to change anything to throw the opposition off come the day. Get him gone and let someone like Ryan Esson take the team to the final. Absolutely nothing to lose.
  11. We know that the club overspent by around £800k chasing promotion in 21/22. Who knows how much we've overspent by in the past 12 months failing at the same thing. Club debts were sitting at near £2 Million 12 months ago and could easily have increased by another million by now. Cup money might wipe out losses from the last 12 months, but the way we're operating is not sustainable and we're likely in a worse state now than when we had to sell everything to keep the club going...and we don't have near as many assets this time around. If that's the cost of having Dodds trying to achieve promotion, then the football arguments don't matter as we simply can't afford it. Let's bring in a manager/head coach that doesn't need the massive coaching staff, the sports scientists, the video analysts, sporting director etc that probably account for half of those £800k losses. Let's get rid of the CEO who's running things this way while we're at it.
  12. Has been mention of him not applying himself in training during discussions at games because he'd taken the huff with being sent out on loan, but that could just be chatter. Definite ability, as we saw at the semi final, but not shown enough that we should be offering him anything more than a basic squad player level wage if he was interested in staying.
  13. He may be past his best, but his best was smoking it for us in the top division, and if not for some injury issues, could/should have played at a higher level. He might not have the same pace he used to, but he has experience and smarts. Still more than enough in his game to be an important player for us in the Championship and if we don't get him signed up, then I'll put money on him ending up OTB if/when they are relegated.
  14. At least we have a cup final to put some lipstick on another pig of a season
  15. Nae bother... let's kick ass!!!
  16. My non attendance at the semi was not in protest, it was due to my not being able to feed my family and pay the prices being demanded for the game (plus travel and associated other costs). If the final was similarly priced and 3pm, I may have been able to scrape it together. However the moving of the time now makes it more expensive as I wouldn't be back in time for my partner going to work and would need to factor in babysitter costs or her losing a shift...so a couple of quid off the ticket makes zero difference and comes nowhere close to offsetting the extra cost. There are going to be thousands of fans having to shell out large extra costs to attend as not everyone is going to get on the supporters busses at £20 each (well done to them for not exploiting the situation). Likewise, a couple of quid off the ticket makes no real difference In fact, they could probably make it free entry and it still wouldn't offset fans' extra costs! As to your remark about the comment by the trust being tongue in cheek...that kinda adds to my point about people not being able to take them seriously, does it not?!
  17. So the solution to fans facing hundreds of pounds in travel and accommodation to attend the game is a fiver discount and less money for the club? And you wonder why nobody takes you seriously?
  18. If I was Scot Gardiner, I'd resign in protest!!
  19. He's young enough to be able to play long enough to take the record. Get him signed up for next season.
  20. I've already got Celtic supporting friends offering me twice face value for any tickets I can get
  21. That's one vote for mediocrity...anyone else?
