  1. If there's no football team to occupy it or if they had suitable land elsewhere to relocate it then why would the council object?
  2. The stadium. The location of which (within the green freeport) would be tempting for someone operating in the renewable energy sector.
  3. I'd love to see some combination of any of the following as our management/coaching team: Ross Draper, David Raven, Gary Warren, Carl Tremarco, Ryan Esson and Ross Tokely. I get that some will think ex players is lazy or backward thinking (and we got burned with Foran) but they all have attributes that make them worthy of consideration.
  4. I could put up with Morrison staying but he needs to resign the chair as we need a better leader.
  5. It's fairly standard for managers to have a 6 month pay-off in their contracts, even if they do have multiple year deals. This means the club control the cost of sacking them and they can't walk away early without the club getting whatever transfer valuation is also in the contract. There are those on here who refuse to believe otherwise but this was the same with Yogi and Foran.
  6. Looking at the pics and vids it wasn't just the young fans.
  7. Someone needs to brush up on the definition of 'franchise' and then come back with a better story.
  8. His contract was with the club, which is he tried to sue us and not Alan Savage. Alan Savage purchased shares to put the money in to the club to cover his wages.
  9. Administration might be worth it.
  10. We're not going to win this one with 'possession football' because Hamilton will happily let us do that all evening. Our best hope is that the players go rogue and ignore the manager's instructions by being on the full offensive from the off.
  11. I'd imagine there are FFP/Money Laundering/Tax Avoidance rules and other regulations in place to prevent that or every club with a wealthy benefactor would be doing it.
  12. Nothing in that interview to suggest we're going to see any change in approach for this one.
  13. Thanks I'd just about managed to block out that period in our history. Lol
  14. Dulce et decorum est pro clava mori. Start as we did in the second half on Wednesday and I think we have a decent chance. My fear is that Ferguson believes he's been doing well and his tactics are working, and he's willing to die on that cross.
  15. Multiple thousands per week to manage in L1. Not a chance he's walking away.
  16. Following on from @DoofersDad's post. I hadn't considered the implications to the planning appeal. The club not having ultimate control of the battery storage could have a detrimental impact on that given how hard we leaned on that fact from the outset. Hopefully we've not shot ourselves in the face again.
  17. Directors putting in place measures to protect their own unsecured lending to the detriment of other creditors especially if an insolvency event is imminent and they can be shown to be aware of that.
  18. Went on to see when accounts were due for the battery storage and I see that the club have gone from being the sole shareholder to now only having 1%. The three people listed below all now hold 33% each.
  19. As I understand it there is no bank debt. I also assume there is nothing due to the taxman as league rules state that such a scenario would trigger a points deduction. All money owed will be to directors and other private benefactors. The chairman has a charge over club assets which include the battery farm so he's made sure to cover his own ass to an extent. As is normally the case when those running a club make an arse if it the fans will be the ones expected to bail it out. The problem there is that the club's stock with fans, local businesses and the community is at an all time low meaning there's not enough people motivated to do anything. As Yngwie says these scenarios may happen even if we avoid relegation. The 2022/23 accounts are due within the next 2 weeks and there's a growing feeling they have been delayed because they will show the club to have been insolvent for quite some time. I have stated previously that there is a scenario whereby the chairman actually stands to gain if the club goes into administration and the battery storage is then approved. I hope the Supporters Trust are geared up to take legal action if that does happen.
  20. Samuel is a Graham Bayne type forward insomuch as he makes defenders work hard and forces errors but he'll not be a prolific scorer. What he needs is someone alongside to mop up and stick the ball in the net which is why it's crazy that Billy has been played so deep.
  21. Chants were at Ferguson and I read it more as being for taking Samuel off than Pepple on. Longstaff should have been the one hooked.
  22. Ferguson in the P&J this week saying that's where he's being played so Billy is doing as he's instructed.
  23. If even a fraction of the chat about the state of our finances is true then we'll be needing every penny to pay wages at the end of the month.
  24. We've had some of our better games/results against teams who've come at us and Hamilton seem like the kind of team who'll do that. Bring it on!
  25. The women's team.
