  1. I think Longstaff gets a lot of unfair criticism. Even last season, he was the player along with Bray most likely to try and beat a man, get a cross into the box or have a shot at goal. If he loses the ball in the process every now and again, then that's okay for me - at least he's prepared to take a 'risk' in comparison to the very safe football we have been playing for months and months now. Indeed, the major frustration for me is that we went down last season after trying to play safe too often. In my opinion we have some good players capable of a whole lot more in a different system/under different tactics... I think everyone can see the slow sideways and backwards passing is neither entertaining nor effective. Big Dunc is going to turn this around and get us promoted!!
  2. I really want it to work out for Big Dunc here. I just wish we showed more urgency and desire from the off. The slow passing just kills any momentum and atmosphere in the ground. Yes we were better in the second half but we were playing against ten men so of course we should have been. We can't be unlucky or unfortunate every week. We need to start converting draws into wins or we are going to quickly find ourselves in another relegation battle this season in my opinion. Our next two games are against the top two. Let's aim for six points and get some momentum going please .
  3. Should there not be some communication with / from the SLO in order to clarify? Hopefully the Trust are in dialogue?
  4. If we don't get a proven goalscorer in soon we are really going to struggle in this league.
  5. Alarm bells are ringing for the season ahead (literally!)...
  6. Is there another Scottish club at any level in more of a mess than us right now?
  7. Udjur was the best central defender we had last season.
  8. I assume you're right and that the prices after Tuesday will be higher. I might be totally wrong but as far as I'm aware the price of individual match tickets for this season have not been made known. I don't think it's fair to fans to ask them to purchase season tickets and not know how much they are saving by doing so. Until I know for definite that a season ticket is cheaper than 18 x individual tickets, I don't think I'll be purchasing one especially with all the goings on at the moment.
  9. Has anybody bought a season ticket yet and does anybody have intentions of buying one before the 'loyalty/early bird' period finishes on Tuesday? I ask because totally conflicted myself and find it hard to imagine the team running out to next to no supporters next season... However I am shocked at the way things are being run and handled right now and would find it hard to part with the best part of £300 given the current situation.
  10. Meanwhile fans of the other 41 league clubs are getting excited about the start of the 2024-25 campaign....
  11. Did anybody else hear Aaron Doran speaking on BBC drive time this evening about his treatment by the club? If not, it is definitely worth a listen. It was on at approximately 5:45pm. The BBC reportedly approached the club for comment but received none at the time of airing.
  12. Please can we have a further update of what is going on at the club? Good or bad, it's better to know in my opinion especially when it's season ticket renewal time....
  13. Was hoping there would be a (home) glamour friendly in there against Everton to help fill the black hole but not to be....
  14. Anybody actually been to the stadium recently? Are the lights still on, is there anybody at home? My goodness we don't even get updates about the club shop opening hours any longer.....
  15. The lack of communication with the fans is mind blowing. And yes if we feel totally undervalued and increasingly frustrated then I can only imagine how the players feel. Last year when we reached the Scottish Cup Final the club turned people who wanted to buy tickets away, preferring to hand these back to the SFA and subsequently to Celtic. So such individuals may not have been in the habit of attending ICT games every week but that is what happens at Cup Finals and similar: people from the town/city and casual supporters (some of whom perhaps were unable to attend games in recent times due to living away) get carried along with the excitement resulting in some attending more regularly or even buying season tickets in subsequent seasons generating ongoing income. In my opinion another example of short term thinking, shooting ourselves in the foot and failing to capitalise on an opportunity. That decision still frustrates me to this day.
  16. Where has this been communicated please?
  17. Just reading in media that Kelty are saying ICT haven't told them the deal is off.... Do we have the worst communication of all the clubs in Scotland? Surely it's just common decency.
  18. It would probably be wise to get season tickets on sale as soon as possible so that those who don’t want to boycott can purchase or at least save towards the cost of these. We seem to be particularly slow on this front in comparison to other league clubs. Cash is clearly an issue so surely all potential income streams (however minor) should be accelerated.
  19. When is the club going to update the fans on what is going on?
  20. Who knows what the next step in the master plan is....
  21. Hoping for a new episode of the Wyness Shuffle podcast soon to try and make sense of everything going on .... Ps I'm wondering if our website is the least updated in league football. If you were relying on that for your information you'd still not know what the score was on Saturday, although probably better to be blissfully unaware. Seriously though, it's really poor and another example of the lack of communication and engagement with fans.
  22. My hope is that we transition to a fully fan owned club like Annan. One of the very few rays of sunshine in a very depressing season has been the work of George Moodie and others on the board of the Supporters Trust and I wish they and the fans in general had much more say in the running and direction of the club. I can only imagine what attendances will be like next year if the status quo remains. The same applies to the Travel Club which is very well run and organised. Cammy Harper was one of the other few positives this season. I fear he will be moving on in the summer and can't blame his as he should be playing in the championship at the very least. Money is going to be in very short supply so let’s start giving Keith Bray, Robbie Thompson, Adam Brooks, Roddy MacGregor, Wallace Duffy, Adam Brooks and (when back fit) Lewis Nicholson regular game time with a view to rebuilding.
  23. Can't see the usual post-match interview on Youtube, where can you find it? Thanks
  24. HT: 3 - 0 FT 4 - 0 1st ICT: Pepple 1st Hamilton: O'Hara Crowd: 2897 Yellow Card: Carragher
  25. Hoping we forget trying to replicate Barcelona and Manchester City tomorrow, ditch the total football and have a right good old fashioned go from the off..... If Billy starts it should be in addition to Samuel and Pepple not instead of in my opinion!
