  1. Couldn't see CC wanting the job - although I thought he did a decent job when he was in charge. Only experience BW had was at Elgin (as far as I'm aware), which wasn't a success. Maybe see him as general manager - he has had plenty to say about the club recently (which I didn't disagree with). Same goes for CC. If Sheerin gets the job, can we stop the carping & just get behind him & the club please!!
  2. Think whoever Sheerin would appoint as an assistant is crucial - he may have contacts down south (wasn't he at Southampton many years ago?), but I wouldn't be upset if we recruited more aspiring young players from closer to home - we've had sucess before with that type of recruitment (Wyness & Russel Duncan spring to mind). I think we WOULD have considered Sheerin if he hadn't been an ex-player, imho! Why not consider someone with coaching experience & managerial experience?
  3. At least we know something & there must be 'something' about Sheerin if they are prepared to pay compensation for him - that's reassuring in a way because at least we are not going for the 'cheap option' & Sheerin is someone who the club are keen on appointing. As someone else posted, glad it's not a clogger like Gus McPherson or Jimmy Calderwood. As for Brian Rice running things in the meantime? I doubt that'll have much impact - shame we didn't think to appoint a proper general manager 1st that could have done this!
  4. Thats what I heard, although it was originally Colin Calderwood, rather than Jimmy Calderwood - not keen on either Calderwoods...
  5. In all seriousness, does anyone have a clue when the club are likely to make an appointment? The suspense is killing me...
  6. Did I get my months mixed up-I stand corrected,sorry..
  7. By appointing a manager, a general manager and recruiting a squad - the betfred cup games are only 3 weeks away. More important than focusing on what went on in the past...
  8. That would be entertaining for sure!!
  9. Well said....there are a lot of issues at the club, for sure, but sniping about poor decisions made in the past are pointless. Kenny Cameron always struck me as a decent guy who cared about the club & we did have a very sucessful period under his stewardship. Yes, Foran's appointment (and, particularly, the 4 year contract) were a mistake, but hindsight is a great thing!
  10. Said with tongue in cheek, hopefully...
  11. Here's hoping...or maybe ge's having a farewell day out with family before heading abroad! Would love him back, but if he's got a better offer than a championship club, all the best to him!
  12. I don't really care, to be honest! Wouldn't have thought that Kenny Cameron would have had a payoff as he retired & we dud have a great deal if success under his stewardship, despute some recent poor decisions(which I won't go into again..). If Richie Foran received a compensation package, fair enough - he did have a 4 year contract (which wasn't his fault!) & a mortgage to pay/family to support. Anyway, basic employment law would have to be observed - he might not have been a success, but he wadn't guilty of gross misconduct, or sone other sackable offence. Time to move on & look forward!
  13. Could see Josh Meekings heading along the A96, now that the Dons have lost Ash Taylor... Wouldn't be shocked to see him heading over the bridge either..
  14. Absolutely - there is a difference between fans giving the team/manager/officials, etc stick & an employer bullying a member of staff, which is exactly what Jimmy Calderwood appears to have done to Ryan O'Leary. It wouldn't be acceptable in any other workplace, so why should it be in a football club? Anyone who suffered this would have a case for Constructive unfair dismissal! Our manager is, in a lot of ways, the 'face' of the club & I certainly wouldn't want someone like Jimmy Calderwood being the face of ICT.
  15. Well put - much better than I could have put it! The club treated my Dad well too, when I did the hospitality for his birthday this season. Lets get behind ICT & stop whingeing...
  16. If this is true, I really don't want Jimmy Calderwood anywhere near ICT - assume this is why he hasn't been heard of for so long...
  17. Definetly a good shout - imho, we haven't made enough use of our youth coming through & shane s has done well. Wouldn't think Ross's wage demands would be excessive but would think he would rather stay in the premiership, which is fair enough. We definetly need to be 'smart' with our player recruitment now.
  18. True...you couldn't get much less local & still be in Scotland! Thinking (and hoping..) that tbe tweet about the interviewees was just a rumour anyway
  19. Not a match winner? League cup Semi-final 2014!! Anyway, he left because Yogi wasn't playing him regularly, which is fair enough..2 years more experience under a different manager, he was still young (still is, actually) & had the cojones to knock back a contract with us to get more 1st team action..think he'd be a better player now than when we had him - and I liked him then.. There's a big Tansey-sized hole in our midfield just niw & I think someone whos played with the club & some of the players before would be an easy fit to improve the team. Having a Draper/Polworth/Vigurs/Ross midfield (or a combination of..) would be a very decent team - even if just for the championship
  20. I wouldn't have thought so - unless he particularly wants to move back to Scotland?
  21. STV website are saying Nick Ross is a free agent (contract expired at Dundee). I'd be happy to see him back at the TCS, if a premiership club don't sign him.
  22. Have just noticed on STV website that Nick Ross is a free agent - contract ended at Dundee. Would lime to see him back, if another Premiership club don't snap him up..
