  1. I did the hospitality this year & thought it was pretty good. Fans donations would have to be for specific things, rather than being absorbed into the general running costs of the club. Was shocked to see the state of the exterior of the main stand last week, the red (or orange, now) supports are looking very rusty & in a terrible state - what sort of an impression does that give, next to the portakabin shop!
  2. Hope this isn't the case as sure the premiership offers more of a financial benefit (TV cash, for starters) & I wouldn't think the fans would stand for such a lack of ambition! From Bucharest to Brechin in 2 years indeed....
  3. Totally..I remember being at the pre-season Q & A session they had & felt fairly positive about RF - it hasn't worked (obviously!) & change desparately needed. Sure BR is a decent guy but there doesn't seem to be much of a relationship with RF & he is very much Yogi's guy. Echo the sentiment that we need a clear change & both RF & BR need to go - I was just thinking of what would be the way to go if the board keep RF (definetly NOT the way forward, imho). Just want whats best for the club..we've appointed well, in the main, apart from recent decisions
  4. They used to have a setup like thst with Debenhams in the Eastgate Centre a few years ago...
  5. I wouldn't disagree with this at all, although I'll still be a mug & renew my season ticket - even if we appointed the 7 year old lad who applied for the job last year... As said previously, there is so much negativity surrounding RF just now, think his position is now untenable (as if it wasn't anyway, after 'bad apple-gate').
  6. Think so - unless he ends up being RF's assistant, or vice versa. Who knows, the guessing game goes on, awaiting an announcement with baited breath (glad I didn't hold my breath as I'd have suffocated by now...)
  7. Feel all this speculation is pointless as I fear that RF will be left in place. Maybe we should have a guess at who he will have as his assistant? Surely the board wouldn't leave RF & BR in place! My money would be on MM (if he isn't taking up the General Manager post). Not much of a guess, that one... C'mon tbe board - we are all waiting with baited breath for some clarity here!!
  8. Looking at the positives, we should be reasonably competitive - depends how dundee utd manage - funnily enough, we will be facing Billy King...
  9. Dundee utd, probably..would settle for Brechin as derby, can stay at my Sister in laws! At least we won't be playin on the plastic trampoline at new douglas park..
  10. I await the next move with interest..hope this is true & not a bit of speculative digging by Tyrone Smith
  11. Absolutely!! More of a bag of rotten tomatoes than a bad apple... I reckon Mulraney may have a big part to play in the team yet..as for Boden, who knows - finances may dictate we have to rely on him, maybe he will come good with regular game time..don't think he is particularly hard working though. You never know, can remember Rooney coming good in the championship & even Denzil Wyness wasn't much use when we 1st had him...think that's wishful thinking though, comparing Boden to those two...
  12. Fair point - the 3 names quoted above would be better.. Jack Ross Darren Dods Paul Sheerin Although we will be stuck with RF, I fear. Maybe there will be a left-field choice that none of us will see coming..I would even rather have Malpas, despite his poor record as a manager.. Think the point about Dundee being ill prepared to play in premier league is valid - I just thought that Barry Smith knows the championship & would be looking to get back into full time management. Also annoys my Wife when I suggest him as she is an East Fife fan (as well as an ICT one..)!
  13. Probably similar resources as well - we have punched well above our weight (until last season, obviously). Sure Falkirk in particular will relish the chance to lock horns with us, given the 2015 cup final. Go Dundee Utd today! Lets get the last so called 'big club' out of the championship - think Hamilton may prevail though & go down next season. As I said before, hopefully we will be replacing them!
  14. Could see a lot of discontent if RF is still in charge next season - protests, etc. We need unity & harmony (as well as kerping majority of current squad, of course..)to have a realistic chance of promotion next season - which I can't see us having any of the above with RF still in charge
  15. Like most rumours, this one makes sense & has a ring of truth about it. Totally unfair on Fisher, as has been said, demonstrated RF's poor man management - surely given the circumstances, there shouldn't have been an issue here. I certainly wouldn't fault Fisher's workrate, definetly one of the hardest working players we have. Woulnd't be at all suprised that if RF stays, Fisher will go - and who would blame him! Only suprised Alex isn't away already...
  16. Ah...cheers. Probably end up at the TCS then.. Was reading in the courier that Maurice Malpas may be interested in the General Manager post..
  17. Pardon my ignorance, but who?
  18. Afraid its more of a barrel rather than a 6 pack....
  19. With any luck, if Hamilton do stay up, we will swap places with them at the end of next season..
  20. Was talking about actual team tops, not polo shirts..
  21. Think you are correct, unfortunately
  22. Found that an XL carbrini top is roughly the same as a 3XL errea top (the actual team tops, not sure about the other stuff)
  23. Would be very happy with any of those 3-can't see jack ross leaving St Mirren to manage in the same league though.. Is Paul Sheerin still at Arbroath?
