There are 2 types of pitch invasion. The first is out of joy at winning a league, cup etc. The second is to cause trouble and that is the one we want to stamp out. Both our recent pitch invasions against Hamilton were for different reasons. The first one was out of genuine anger at the board and manager over getting relegated. Nobody predicted that invasion so it would have been difficult to plan for what actually happened. The second was more predictable and the club should have been more aware of the possibilities. There was a third factor, which has largely been ignored. I would maintain that some Hamilton fans were looking for trouble on both occasions which made the situation worse. Obviously not condoning out moronic Dan's who got needlessly involved, if they can be identified, they should be publicly named and shamed by the club, or even better, by their fellow supporters as some will know who thd morons were.

I recorded it too, also without knowing the score. Kind of wish I did know now as it'd would have saved over 90 mins of my life. Best part that game was your wonderful anthem. Amazing.

Sounds good... Who is paying? Considering the budget shortfall for players, lack of decent match highlights package, not enough pies at big games, etc etc. How do we cut our cloth to properly address all these issues Kier? 🙄

This - in conjunction with the ticketing system - should be almost foolproof in identifying the ticketholder (or at least the ticket purchaser). From there it's surely down to any club/SPFL/police initiatives to determine effective punishments and, by extention, deterrrents. Clubs could lead the way - having their own policies - regardless of these lenient punishments dished out by the SPFL. In England a (countrywide) stadium ban and criminal record seems to work pretty well in the main.

I recorded it and managed to watch it without knowing the score. That was a tough watch, and I fear that we’ll come up short on goal difference and fail to be one of the best third placed teams. However, we’ve a record of not winning games like that so at least we won the game, only our fifth win at the World Cup Finals.

Well it’s a much needed winning start for us, but that second half was brutal and Haiti did not deserve to lose.

Macintyre & Zimba have already been announced as departed. Hopefully we can hold onto Alonge. Still up in the air with the 2 Alfie’s - they both have a permanent offer on the table from Caley , they both have an extension with Aberdeen also tabled. I’d imagine both players have other offers as well.

He put some effort in to righting an administrative c**k up. What Scotty said in this thread appears quite widespread: Scottish fans having issues because they did not have a Police Letter from England or Wales. Hopefully Kenny’s efforts will have helped other fans in the same position.

That’s most of the best defence in League 1 secured for next season: Munro, Macleod, Devine and Savage. It’s a step up in standard for them but Devine and Savage have been there, done that before. A very positive development.

Well C100, you’re asking the wrong person, this should be put directly at the custodians in charge and responsible for managing the affairs of the club. To me that is the owner, the CEO, the board and the security manager. If you take in any of my earlier posts you will have noticed my thoughts on getting those responsible for match safety and control. For what it is worth here my main views. # Deduct points - as it’s the only way to get complacent, lazy and negligent attitudes changed. # Install cameras at all entrances to assist with identifying profiles, clothing and physical features of all entering fans. # Have match crowd control risk assessment undertaken and recorded for all matches with a police representative identifying the risks and preventative measures required. Include a Supporter Trust member (not on the board). # Provide proper levels of match stewarding (not the minimum cost package). # Have a police attendant as part of high profile (risk) matches to assist the club security manager. # Advise the security manager to take a concealed phone to record all match control meetings, where in the event he is told to ignore any concerns he may raise, he can provide evidence in the event any incident results in any corporate or individual legal action.
