When Will We Get Our Own Identity?

I know the club is still young and it is only a few short years since we were two clubs who were staunch rivals of each other but when do you think our club will have enough of our own history for our fans to claim our own identity? Do we still hang on to old allegiances from the "big" teams we used to support?

One of our more popular chants "Care/Stand Free" is a chant which Aberdeen made their own many years before the merger, we have seen sectarianism creep into the stands with the "Bobby Sands" song and BJK banner earlier in the season and now I have noticed a signature on these forums referring to "Bloody Sunday", I understand that the user is trying to play on Butcher's blood soaked bandage but to many of the older users on this site Bloody Sunday will mean something a lot more sinister.

Can we not find our own identity instead of latching on to other clubs chants and political affiliations?

is that no donald you mean......... :rotflmao:

but seriously it's a good song

like the andy stewart one!

another one by roddy shaw (home to inverness, again on i tunes)

Is it worth compiling a list of possible contenders and submitting it to the boardroom banter section?see what the clubs reaction to the fans proposals for an anthem?

otherwise were all wasting time thinkin stuff up :rotflmao:

to the tune of Pilot's Magic

Oh oh oh Mihadjuks

You Know

Has just scored a no-o-ther goal

Mihadjuks you know

and repeat...... :rotflmao:

We can debate this till the cows come home but unless we act it aint gonna happen. Find a tune that is catchy, that all agree with, that is good for young and old. Put words to it that reflect ICT...........................then sing the bloody thing.

And if your succesful speak to Kenny of Sheihallion (find him in the Gellions) and he may just agree to recording it.

This one could catch on easy.
