News from Italy.

Just to let ICT fans know that there will be a small "media" group in Italy not too far away from the ICT squad so news will get back here, hopefully quite soon.

Kenny MacPherson and Trevor Martin will be there to do pics for various newspapers, including the local press.

Alasdair Fraser  will also be doing newspaper reports .

I'll have stuff fairly regluarly on BBC local bulletins either at 0750, 1254 or 1654. This can be accessed on 92-95FM but only within the Highlands and Islands. I also hope to have an overview on radio after the team returns and there will be coverage in the Highland News both this coming week and next.

I'm not sure what The Courier are going to have, but there WILL be information available if you keep your eyes and ears open.

doesn't matter how bad the team were to stick 12 past any team is some achievement....

McCallister with a hattrick.... could this be his season??

So what is the crack about the next game for the Sneck Azzuri CB?

Inverness manager Charlie Christie, meanwhile, and his squad were yesterday preparing to conclude a successful Tuscany tour. The Highlanders play the second of two friendlies in Italy today but will put their feet up to watch the World Cup final on Sunday.

The players were kept wide awake well into the early hours of Wednesday as Italy's World Cup semi-final triumph was greeted by chaotic scenes of wild celebration. Around their hotel in Montecatini Terme, the locals took to the streets in numbers, honking car horns and riding three to a moped with drinks in hand as they savoured the moment.

Having been greeted so warmly in the picturesque spa town in a country where football is worshipped, the Inverness manager and his players have sworn loyalty to the Italian cause.

In the countdown to today's clash with an amateur regional side, Christie said: "With everything that has happened for Italy in the World Cup, this has been a very special place to be."

Caley Jags won their opening game against local amateurs Montecatini Terme 12-0 but Christie admits he is hoping today's opponents are a much tougher proposition.

well done to the lads great win for them who cares who they were playing a 12-0 is a great way to get the strickers in good form for the season

Here's hoping our goalscoring touch continues when we play real teams.

Real Teams??? - Do you think we were playing against cardboard cut-outs in Italy or something  :015:

When are they playing 'Real Teams'. I thought they were coming home tomorrow. :003:

If (when) Italy win tonight we should run a sweepstake for any players who may miss the bus to the airport tomorrow cause I'm certain they will get caught up in the party.  :015:

Yes, it sounds like it. All Italians have been zissed for the last 4 weeks and after tonight will be for the next 4 at least. Let's bring the Scotland Euro game forward and catch them cold!!! :015:

What's all this talk of us playing diddy teams next season these two teams will probably be in Serie A the way the domestic Italian game's going.
