Hypothetical Manager's Dilemma

We have 2 decent, fully fit keepers, but Fraser is in possession of the keeper's jersey and there is nothing to suggest he will lose his place for the game against his future employers. But would it be any different if Motherwell were down at the bottom in the relegation dogfight?

One mistake by Fraser could ensure that he plays SPL football next season and becomes an established SPL keeper for years to come.

On the other hand, with a flawless performance could condemn himself to a career in the SFL.

In that scenario, would you play him if you were manager?

I can't recall Fraser ever giving away a penalty, or being sent off....

But I agree - it wouldn't be a bad thing to have Esson coming on if that ever happened!

I love all this hypothetical stuff....so much more interesting than reality.

I have made a decision reading this thread that neither of them will be in goals and instead it's going to be Lionel

Settled!

From BBC website:

' And Jim O'Brien spurned a chance to seal the points for the Steelmen late on, but his speculative effort from Michael Fraser's sliced clearance drifted wide. '

What if scenario might take another twist as Fraser makes another kick out f**k up, imagine if we need a win to stay up next saturday, we are 1-0 up and Fraser makes a kick out duff up, they score, we go down and Fraser stays in the SPL with Muvversmell.

Oh, Muvversmell had a look at what they have signed last night, do you think they will be happy?

As I said in the Smileys he is solid enuff but doesnt exactly install confidence - the error last nite was awful - wide to the right of his goal - complete mishit - ended up 30 yards out in the absolute middle of the pitch but it feckin bobbled and O'Brien fluffed it - if it wasnt fer the pitch it was a cert. And Butcher would have been crucified.
