Train travel to Firhill

I'm hoping of getting a train to Firhill from Inverness a week to day and I was wondering where the nearest train station is and how long would it take to get from the station to the ground?

thanks :D

Could you not just get the Supporters' Bus down, its much cheaper and looking at the times for the train it just about the same time.

Cause one of the people im going with doesn't like the bus

What do they have against the bus?

The crap banter maybe

"The bus/es for the game against Partick Thistle next sunday (6th Sept.) will leave the stadium at the usual time, 10 am sharp. The following week (12th) we're away to play Morton at Cappielow and the bus/es will leave at 9.30am. Then it's another away game (19th), this time against Airdrie United and we leave at 10am. Supporters need to phone the Hotline No. 227458"

caleyrule wants to know when it will be back in inverness!!

Can you not get trains from QS Low Level to Partick?

EDIT: Looking at GMaps it would seem it's not worth it and, as mentioned earlier, St Georges Cross on the UG is what you need from town.

Its bus or nothing now!!!

Despite Partick sharing the name of that area of Glasgow they don't actually play in Partick, they play in Maryhill, thus getting the train to Partick station will put you further away from the ground then if you were in the city centre.

The best idea, barring getting a taxi, would be to get the underground to either St Georges X or Kelvinbridge and then walking.

So what was the point in this thread :P

can someone give me a phone number for the supporters bus?

I'll be in glasgow already for the scotland game so would be looking at just going the one way if there is space on the bus

By Underground:

Probably the easiest is to get off at St. Georges Cross and just head North up Maryhill Road until you see the stadium (in Firhill road just off Maryhill road). It should take around 10-15 minutes to walk. Another option is to get off at Kelvinbridge (this is slightly closer to Firhill than St. Georges Cross). Go up the stairs/escalators to Great Western Road, cross Great Western Road and turn to your right. Walk only a few metres until you come to North Woodside Road on your left. Walk down that road until you come to Maryhill Road. Turn left along Maryhill Road to get to the ground.
