Good for the Hammers no doubt, but O'Neill is not exactly scaling the heights, considering he was tipped for great things.

He certainly has a big task on his shoulders. Good luck to him.

where did you hear this? ive been away all day and cant fid anything on bbc

Just media rumours at this stage.

More sources than Pataks with this one - you get the feeling this one has leaked before all O'Neill's conditions have been agreed to - still seems like an odd fit to me

Villa should never have let him go. He's always been one to improve the infrastructure of a team and did some excellent work in developing the youngsters at Villa. His legacy lives on their with a youthful Villa reserve side beating Arenal reserves 10 - 1 last week. O'Neill will be good for West Ham but they have to be patient..

Not a particularly nice person, but a good manager. He'll keep the hammers up no doubt.

Looks like O'Neill is not too pleased that it has been revealed that he was in talks with West Ham and is now having a re think about the whole thing - the Hammers are truly in a mess....

That was all but a done deal according to the media, but it's not going to happen.

Maybe someone should have asked Martin O'Neill.

Looks like Grant is staying in place until the end of the season and might even get some money to spend in the transfer market.

The way this has been handled is a total shambles. No wonder Martin O'Neill walked away.
