I NEVER rated Rankin. A few Utd supporters i know arent too thrilled about his arrivial...cant say i blame em.

is totally over rated and will achieve as much at Tannadice as he did at Easter Road. The sum total of feck all.

I really liked him. You got to play him as a wide midfielder (the Foran role), not in the heart of midfield as Hibs did. Excellent crosser, great shooting power. Can't track back but then Beckenbauer rarely hit the byeline. Never got why attacking players get criticised for not defending, yet defenders are excused whenever they fluff a shot. Horses for courses.

Major wage cuts at United, must be why they dont want a 10 team league of late.
