Player of the Year

Voting is now open on the club website.

I must admit I hadn’t realised Samuels is as young as he is, as he is one of many eligible for the young player award, although with the injury he had he will not be a contender. Shaw is also in the young player category.

I suspect there will be many varied views on here as to who the winners should be.

I’ve not voted yet as I need to watch the goals, but should we either have a poll on here or post our own views?

It’s really bad - players must be feeling underwhelmed and most fans feeling left out of showing appreciation of those who got the awards.

It's the sort of morale building unity you'd want before a cup final, properly inspirational stuff.

Won't be long until the ST begging letters come out from the club though

Two of the winners, Cameron Harper and Nathan Shaw, are at the start of their career. Imagine the boost their confidence would have got receiving their awards on the pitch at the end of the Ayr game.

Whilst Billy Mckay is an experienced pro, he also deserved to receive his awards on the pitch in front of the fans.

Whilst that match had a disappointing outcome, it was also our chance to applaud the full squad and let them know they have our backing for the final.

It may also be the difference between some deciding to stay and deciding to move on.

Not the club’s finest hour!

This is what you get when a club is leaderless and completely out of touch with its fanbase. Pathetic.

I am just surprised the number of writers here are surprised the way the fans have / are being treated by the club ‘leaders’.
The current lot have shown they simply haven’t or don’t care about the fans interests by their actions. You’re only there to buy season tickets and the stuff on sale (scarfs, pies and like).  - They have demonstrated clearly they can’t and are unlikely to change without redress. They are only holding the keys however and ultimately will move on.  - Their period in charge however is in the hands of the fans. It is the fans that ultimately have the power.  If enough fans think more of the same next season is not good enough then they can act where it is most noticed! (In there pocket). Fan loyalty is often abused by just about every club and ICT are no different.

I resist magnifying the case as the club and team are heading into their most important game in years.  Winning would be the clubs biggest achievement in its history and could attract interest from more competent and professional individuals. But it’s a long shot! Maybe the fan questionnaire will manage to be communicated unfiltered and get the message across. We wait with interest!

What happens after the final is for another day, but is more of the same satisfactory?

Our own CTO Player of the Year will be announced the end of next week to allow you to vote in our final game of the season and our biggest game ever. I am not likely to post it on the site till Sunday morning.
