Planning in advance

Hey guys, first time I've posted in a while (which some might say is a good thing 😂) but I am going to Inverness CT vs Peterhead on January 3 with my friend (he is a Peterhead fan through his dad btw but not a diehard fan so is ok sitting in our end) and, as the title says, I'm planning ahead so my question is: Am I ok to pay at the gate on the day or would it be better getting tickets online :)?

We are going to spend the weekend away so we'll no doubt end up in pubs down there 🤣.

I'm actually looking forward to this as I've not been to a match since the days of Tel Butcher due to work etc.

The next on our agenda after this is Murrayfield but that's slightly going off topic so I'll leave it at that 😛.

3rd January could well be weather affected so maybe buying the day before, or the morning of the game, would be best if you're unlikely to make a re-arranged midweek date.

Good advice so far. If you are going to pubs down here I would recommend the relatively new pub in Inverness. Good pint, good atmosphere and not too far from the ground. It’s called bar 94.

Butcher...I remember him.

Think you'll find it a bit different now.

I certainly will @Satan and I think it will be in a good way 😃😃😃.

Out of curiosity, where's the best place to sit because I've always been in the stand just behind the away dugout?

North stand for me unless you like Werther's Originals 🤣

I have no plans to go to this game so the chances of a postponement have been greatly reduced. 😃

Main stand if you want a good view. I prefer being a bit higher up and would prioritise that over atmosphere. I don’t really get the calls for being in the North stand unless you want to save £5 or whatever it is these days. The atmosphere in general at home games is poor, being in the north stand doesn’t change that. This isn’t a criticism of us but just how it is for most home sides.

Main stand in summer or winter with low sun, murder on the arms. Main stand in winter and a fresh breeze, snow or rain, not a dry seat anywhere. Watched a u 18 game from the top row a few years ago( only main stand open) and somehow made it to half time then had to go home to dry and thaw out.

North stand to be cosy and dry.
