Caff Leaving? New Deal On Cards

*P & J*

Seems that there are a few clubs after Caff and with the chance of first team football on offer who could blame him if he left? Charlie has assured him that he is in his plans and that while some folk might be free to go he is not one of them.

If that cheating, diving wee ***** Dargo hadn't got Caff sent off at Killie, then Dods would be the one warming the bench every week

I think Caff would like to stay but if he isn't going to be guaranteed a first team place on a regular basis then he may feel he should try his luck elsewhere. Personally I don't want him to go and he is a nice guy too...

I hope he does stay but there seems to be a lot of tempting interest in the player. On CaleyD's point I agree but recognise that there is a fine line between rotation and changing a first team playing well, injuries and suspensions sometimes make rotation necessary, but we are in a fortunate position that we have the options esp in defence. It will be a difficult decision for Caff to make.

Caff lost his place through suspension.

Yet when he has come in to replace someone who was injured/suspended and played well he has still been dropped.

No wonder he is frustrated

Well, it sounds like Grant is back to full fitness, but hope Caff gets a chance to start today...

So far as I can see it's mostly "paper talk" with alleged situations, feelings and statements. How often does this happen (at every club) and nothing comes of it?

Yes I would be gutted to see Caff go to, he has a lot to offer in my opinion too.

We are all good at debating the reasons why Caff hasn't played but none of us know the real facts. Remember Caff was sidelined with back problems. He rested and had physio for a few weeks then came back to training. He then had a recurrance of his problem and was sent to a specialist where he was discovered to have a stress fracture of a vertebrae. These things take a long time to come right and perhaps Caff and the club were being over cautious and giving him plenty time to get to full fitness. None of us are privy to the discussions that go on behind closed doors but CC has said that Caff features in the future plans of the club so lets all wait and see.
