Bayne attracting attention

The Perthshire Advertiser confirms what will come as no surprise to any of us, that St Johnstone and Dunfermline are very interested in Bayne. The article goes on to say :

"The 28 year old still has 12 months left on his contract, but has indicated he would be prepared to talk to the Pars and Saints"

Really?

You can argue that Bayne wasn't quite good enough, but it's the manager who decides who to play and all we can ask from any player is that they give it their best shot when called upon.

When it comes to Bayne, what he lacked in finesse he more than tried to make up for in effort and you can't fault a player who gives 100% every time they are on the park....and lets not forget that he scored some very important goals for us during his time here too.

I think it's safe to say that he leaves ICT with no bad feelings, thanks for the part he played in getting (keeping) us where we are today and best wishes for his future with Dunfermline.

Agree with CaleyD, he definitely made his contribution to the cause as much as anybody has.  Wont be sadly missed but we will have moments this coming season where we'll all glance at the bench, trailing 2-1 against St Mirren, wondering iif Macallister will really put them under pressure  :017:

If you misread your team-mates, and miscontrol the ball as badly as Graeme Bayne then you are automatically going to find yourself 'running your heart out' whenever you're on the field aren't you?  :tic01:
